Avatar n tn If I need a car, I borrow one or rent one. In February 2007, I borrowed a car and, while driving, looked over my left shoulder prior to moving to the left lane. When I looked over my left shoulder, the road tilted sideways. Somehow I managed to keep driving and fortunately traffic slowed down to stop and go. The sensation passed and I continued to drive for about 20 to 25 minutes.
Avatar n tn Let's face it, their cigarette smoke is not reaching through the cracks in my home. It's me, something is wrong with me. I was hit by a truck while driving on the highway a couple years ago. Actually today is the 2 year anniversary. My neck and shoulder are not normal anymore. I ache and get headaches that shoot up my neck. I had an mri to check my nerve involvement. Now I have to find out more since I know I'm not inventing the smell.

Avatar f tn I finally tested positive on a Western blot at IGeneX, a specialty lab in CA, after I tested negative on a screening test at a military hospital. If you can't get Lyme confirmed or excluded by your regular doctor or neuro, find a Lyme Literate Medical Doctor in your area. Local Lyme support groups are helpful. Lyme is complicated and tricky, contrary to what most doctors were taught that it's hard to get and easy to treat.

The sources in the article stated that, "TMJ problems were originally thought to be caused by dental Malocclusion but that this was an infrequent cause of the problem". Avatar n tn I am having another MRI in March because of a seizure? that I had in Nov. The neurologist didn't call it a seizure but several people that witnessed it at a community centre supper said it was definitely a grand mal type seizure. The other main symptom that I find disabling is that sometimes when I have these waves my eyes quickly roll back in my head. I can still hear what everyone is saying but I can't speak.
Avatar f tn I just got diagnosed with vitamin D deficiency. After reading a lot of scientific literature, I found out that vitamin D3 has a longer half life in your body. D3 also gets converted to the active form better in your body. So if the MD gives you D2 ask for D3. If the MD can't get you D3 ask how much you should take, and buy it at your local grocery store or pharmacy. I bought a bottle for less than 10 dollars on amazon.
Avatar n tn Years ago, I was told to go to a place in Wisconsin for a Sphincterectomy (sp). They had an expert there in Racine. I had 2 small babies and never went. There is another place that specializes also in this (if this is what you have) and I think it is in Ohio or Indiana or some place in that neck of the woods. I know this is where I would go if I ever choose to have something done about this. Good Luck To You.
620923 tn?1452919248 everyone I was diagnosed with Chiari I (11mm) in the Spring of 2001. It has never changed in size and I do not have a build up of fluid. However, my major symptoms include: severe migraines on an almost daily basis, nausea, dizziness, numbness and painful tingling in my arms and legs, tremors, staring spells, memory loss, eye tremors and pain in my eye lids, difficulty swallowing and choking, neck pain and stiffness, "drop attacks?
Avatar m tn This just buts in like a seizure or craving for ice cream. It doesn't respond to corticosteriods, which are the recommended first-line treatment. Also, I'm not in the high-incidence groups (women, middle age, history of skin conditions).
975514 tn?1325001538 For the past two weeks, I was in a lot of pain because it was going to rain. The other night, it rained for a day and a half. After the rain passed, I felt better until this morning. My neck and shoulders really hurt and so does my back from top to bottom. I am trying to stretch to try to help relieve my muscle aches but so far nothing.
Avatar n tn Went from 3 a day to 18 a day in less then a year. In the beginning is seemed so harmless (sounds familiar in this forum). If I remember correctly, I did not even like it that much. Towards the end I could not function without it leading to a siezure in the middle of the night with my wife and over ten firemen in my bedroom. the next week was pure hell, I've taken hydrocodone, methadone, fentynal patches, percocet, a month in the hospital on a morphine pump, etc.
Avatar f tn he says he has a 95% success rate that I will be ok after surgery. I have read in some, small in number, cases where surgery doesn't quite help, that is was scares me. How do you handle stress? do you find stress makes you have more symptoms? can we do Meditation and basic yoga? I am in the process of filling out the paperwork and getting a copy of MRI's for me to send to the Chiari specialists in Great Neck NY.
Avatar n tn Her nausea is completely gone as well. We're hopeful that she'll be back to work in a couple of weeks and a complete recovery in the next few months seems likely. If you're still sick, Gina (and everyone else), I'd strongly recommend finding a vestibular rehabilitation therapist in your area. Good luck.
Avatar n tn My uncle had 3 on C level fusion back in the mid 80's. He came through just fine after a long healing process. He was in his late 50's then. I believe they went through the front and he had to wear a collar for awhile. I believe the surgeries done now come out much better and the "tools" and "substances" used have come a long way. On his they used some of his hip bone for the fusion. He complained more about hip pain than neck pain.
Avatar m tn So much so that we had to throw the couch out. The couch had a mattress in it, it ended up staying out back for a little while until one day I looked out there and it had little black bugs crawling all over it. During this time it seemed I ws being attacked at night by whatever this is, constant crawling all over my head. I usually stay up late to work (upwards of 5AM sometimes) and the entire time this crawling is going on. When I get in the bed it's even worse.
Avatar f tn just put me on 25mg of topamax for headaches due to a car accident that i was in back in Aug. My Son was on topamax after he had a seizure and was in a coma for 7days. We took him off the topamax because he was so loopy. I havnt started taking it yet iam soooo..... scared. I hate that loopy feeling! As for the tingling i already suffer for tingling in my fingers due to the accident as well. I wonder if this will make it worse? At what dosage did you guys start feeling these side effects?
Avatar f tn I am athletic (tho no known neck/back problems), and have also spent a lot of time outside and in the sun. I now live in Austin, Texas, also a sunny climate (but more humid than Colorado), and the dreaded itch came back about a month ago. I can not bear the thought of living with this for the rest of my life. Also, no rash or any other visible sign of itch, aside from the scars I create by scratching until bleeding.
Avatar n tn I just had another MRI with contrast on Tues, so hopefully it will show up this time. By the way, I live in a small town in Wa state, so I will be driving almost 4 hours to see this dr. I am just grateful for this site. I feel like I have found a whole group of people who truly understand what it feels like everyday. Thanks.
