Do you get a Kaleidescope vision disturbance? I had a brain Angiogram over a week ago, and 3 days after it I had a vision disturbance like this. I spoke someone in Neuro who suggested it may be seizure related. I am afraid to tell my GP doctor as I've been told if an EEG comes back positive, they'll take my driving license from me. I have an appointment next week with an Eye consultant. I was in an RTA with severe head injuries 4 months ago.
My husband is a 35 yr old healthy man. About two years ago he had one seizure in his sleep. Bit his tongue woke up with horrible head ach and vomiting. Very disoriented and confused. Now the seizures are getting closer together in episodes. They are always in his sleep. Usually before he falls asleep hot and cold sweats occur and he says he thinks he may have the same reoccurring dream? All EEG EKG And MRI's come back as normal. How exactly to you rule out epilepsy?
Yeah that's what I'm scared of, I don't want to hurt anyone, being in a car can hurt a lot of people and it kill. I do have to wait 6 months, I get my lisence back in a month I have yet to have a seizure but I'm terrified that when I stay driving I'll start to have them again. But it's nice to hear it does lessen with time, but for me I've only been having them for a year. Thanks for your response too, I'm thinking of going for hypnotherapy to try and help.
My brother-in-law has lost his license so many times from having a seizure I've lost count. He always gets is back in the end, but he has a lot of hoops that he has to jump through to get them back. I'm sorry you are going through this and I hope it's going be resolved soon. Be sure to come back and update us when you have more information.
i had a grandmal seizure while driving and got mine back in a year.check in your state to see how long you have to be seizure free.i wouldent go to your psiciatrist for the approval for driving.i went abou 3yrs seizure free with out meds,but they came back .why if you go seizure free for 2yrs would they reduce your meds for 6 months?

I'm driving to Illinois tomorrow from Georgia and I need to go through those states but I'm watching the weather channel and it's saying there will be storms. So is anyone actually in those locations that can confirm how server they will be?? I had a benign brain tumor removed from my left frontal lobe one year ago. Since I have had that I suffer from Grand Mal Seizures due to scar tissue. Is this something that is common? Also after my seizures I am confused as to the year and even not remembering people in my family.On one occasion this has lasted 2 hours. The seizure happened at my son's school. The school nurse has explained to me what happened and what kind of seizure it was. The problem with describing the symptoms before and after are that I don't remember. I don't even remember being on the side of the room that it happened on. And when I came to all I remember it throwing up in the trash can and feeling confused.

What medications are there? And i was told by someone else that they will slow down my recovery. because they are stimulants? in what way would they slow it down?
