Doxycycline shelf life

Common Questions and Answers about Doxycycline shelf life

Avatar m tn I have been taught by my father to question everything and do diligence it your life you get one shot in this life so dont mess with it.
Avatar m tn terminated early due to edema) -- [drug holiday -- 2 months] -- azithromycin and metronidazole -- 5 months (terminated due to systemic fungal infection from yeast-based probiotics intended to *prevent* fungal infection -- but yeast is a fungus, and it colonized my body) It took me a long time to stabilize and get rid of the fungal infection, and at that point was too worn out to go back on meds. Note that I was never on doxycycline.
Avatar f tn Thus the usual treatment of a few weeks of doxycycline can be utterly ineffective [other than almost immediately after initial infection] because Lyme bacteria don't reproduce every 20 minutes like other bacteria, but instead measured in hours. Thus treatment for 10 days or a couple of weeks is insufficient except immediately after infection, but many of us do not know when we were infected ... I didn't.
Avatar f tn I never buy sealed pastries with long shelf life - Twinkies, carrot cakes, Pop Tarts or anything similar. Also, I had to cut on most of the soft drinks - again look by the color, it says it all! I am a tea drinker and very rare drink coffee and often after having coffee with half and half and splenda I get my rash back (it could be half and half or splenda what causes it but I just can't drink coffee without it).
12980073 tn?1429819661 This is because there is always an issue about quality of the product and what might have been added to it to make it palatable, to preserve it (shelf life) and to manufacture it ready for packaging and distribution. Most supplements have huge claims associated with them by the supplier/manufacturer, but there are often no reliable scientific research papers/studies that back up the claims being made.
Avatar f tn Then it still wouldn't go away, I then went to the walk-in again....they said I had Bronchitis and gave me Doxycycline and Prednisone. It still did not work, I went to my regular doc and had a chest x-ray and they told me I had Pneumonia and he gave me Levaquin. In the meantime I took some Asthma tests (per my doctor's suggestion) and found out I have Asthma. I was given Pulmicort and MaxAir. My cough still wasn't going away and my tongue was extremely swollen.
Avatar f tn that is the golden oldie of Lyme treatment. It can be useful, but too often it is not unless given immediately after infection. Sometimes it may seem like you have a new infection for the first time, but you may have been infected previously and not have noticed ... I know people who have had that happen. So doxy is most useful immediately after a tick bite, but many of us don't know when the first tick got us, and only get really ill after a reinfection. Lots of unknowns and variables.
Avatar f tn I'm just really hoping this doesn't rule my life and that me and my son ( if he has it) can eventually be Lyme free - I hope this can happen? Youvegottobekidding ... Have you heard of eye issues and congenital lyme? Another one of my worrys :( I am going to contact dr jones again I tried once but the woman told me he doesn't deal with phone patents :s Thanks again for all of your help - what abx was your son on? Does he have a co infection?
Avatar m tn So, the next time I was at the market, I bought some for him. Not just any brand. The top shelf stuff. Milo's Kitchen "home style" brand. He has eaten their beef jerky without difficulty. So, I thought, well, why not try the chicken jerky? I admit. I didn't look at the label. I knew it was made by Del Monte - a trusted name in vegetables and other canned goods, some under the "Contadina" label.
Avatar n tn However, right now I'm just so thankful to have my life back and to have my skin healed that I don't want to rock the boat. The one thing I can say without question is that this was related to either using toothpaste, milk or coffee (or all three). I don't think it was related to sugar, because I did have some M&M's the other night and had no problems reoccur. However, I still keep my sugar intake much, much lower than before.
Avatar n tn Also prescribed Doxycycline(capsules). These both are for fighting bacteria. Have worked for me thus far. Itching has stoped since taking the meds.Legs and feet have subsided, with a little itching here and there. But I am also still on the meds. Hope this will help. It mite be a form of bacteria that some of you are dealing with. Rather than an alergic reaction to water as I was told by one dematologist.
Avatar n tn Nothing inside nose seems to be affected. However; I have a deviated septem, and sinus allergies most my life. So many sick people around me...I have been putting Bactroban inside tips of DR. recommended for our household to do. This is a precaution against MRSP.. I will get some Nasonex and a nasal decongestant, will also use the Xlear nasal wash I already have. Continue w/ Bactroban as well. I will break down and go to my DR. if this doesn't clear up soon.

Avatar n tn Hey! Well I didn't mean to scare you and make you think that you are messed up for life. I took the Monistat back in either April or May, and I waited the 7 days I think it was that they said you should have results by...the itching was gone, but this strange burning/hot feeling was there. Like I said the doc told me it threw everything out of wack and I still had yeast and then BV which I couldn't get rid of for a few months.
Avatar n tn I knew this was likely to be some kind of STD as a result, (I had been diagnosed and treated for non-specific urethritus 2 years earlier) so proceeding to get an appointment with my GP. He prescribed a 10 day course of Doxycycline 100mg capsules which I took as prescribed. I returned to the doctors as my symptoms persisted.
Avatar n tn One way you could break the picking is to remove anything there to pick. Have you tried a tar/medicated shampoo? You can find them on shelf and they're used to things like scalp periosis (spelling?) serbaceous dermatitis and dandruff. It wont get rid of the scabs you keep picking, but it may help with the imperfections you refer to.
948349 tn?1294383837 I am absolutely blown away I finally resolved my acne problem after so much grief about it in my life. Just for the record book though... I have been supplementing Omega 3-6-9, flax, fish, and borage oil, Calcium/Magnesium/Zinc... and of course my Vitamin D... JUST vitamin D supplement by itself, not mixed into a multivitamin. But I'm pretty sure it's the Vitamin D that worked, because I have supplemented essential fatty acids and drink lots of milk for calcium. Comments? Questions?
1094771 tn?1330284476 Cetrotide 0.25mg and 3mg, Doxycycline, HCG 10,000, Vivelle dot patch, Luveris, Dexamethasone, Citranata Assure, Baby Aspirin, Progestrone, Medrol . I am waiting for my meds to arrive today and I am waiting for AF. I can't wait. I hope we all get BFP and healthy pregnancies. I will be doing a 5 day transfer.
298579 tn?1192250448 This is quite odd but I experience an uncomfortable cramping in my lower abdomen after I have an orgasm or after a particularly intense bowel movement. It's somewhat painful but definitely more on the uncomfortable side. Occasionally I will also feel the cramping when I get sexually excited. It doesn't last for too long, a few minutes at most but I was curious if anyone else had experienced something like this. Thank you for your feedback.
288415 tn?1231634102 I have had ear trouble since day one of my life. I am the type to get swimmers ear from showers. I have a simular problem with gunk and itchy ears. I am unable to hear unless my ear is directed at what I am trying to hear. Some times they get so bad I have to go to the ENT specialist and have stuff suctioned from my ear once a week for about six weeks. Regular eardrops whether it is antibiotics, steroids, or whatever only make the situation worse. I got Domboro drops which helped with the goo.
Avatar n tn I have had this problem all my life, but not all the time....sometimes I don't notice them too much because the pain goes away within hours. Recently though, I had one break in my palm under the thumb joint and it turned to a bruise. I work in a nursing home and most of the nurses there have never heard of it. I don't take any meds and have low blood pressure. I do crochet though....???? I always thought it happened to everyone.
