In the mean time the doctor told me to stop taking the Cipro and he prescribed me Doxycycline. It seemed like right away after taking the Doxycycline that my symptoms started to feel better. I thought for sure that it was getting better and that would be the end of it. Well i still haven't gotten the results back from the STD's test, and after 5 days of being on the Doxycycline my symptoms have started coming back.
Three days later I got burning and constant urination. I started 100 mg doxycycline (big mistake) without taking any test. I then visited my go who put me on one week 250 my levofloxacin and pyridium. The pain did not go away. I visited. A urologist who conducted two rounds of blood and urine test- no infection. A week after doxy dosage I took a std test for gonorrhoea chlamydia and ureaplasma. All negative.
i told them my symptoms and they examined and tested me and gave me a 7 days dose of doxycycline for having a NGU. (Non gonococcal urithiritis)
After seven days of dose with doxycycline, i was feeling better with no symptoms. And they gave me results next week that i was negative on gonorhea, chlamydia, syphilis and hiv. I went home back with a piece of mind and i promised myself that i will not do this again.
As i am single, so its natural that i got sexual urge again.

If i have to take any medication before any such gestation period for any pathogen what can I take? Or should i consult a doctor for this?

I have been on doxycycline an antibiotic for about 5 days and i seem to be feeling very anxious and panic like. Does anyone know if this can cause these symptoms. I am also on 25mg of zoloft. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Over the next few days the pain persisted and I ended up going to the hospital in which they diagnosed me as having a UTI, gave me a dose of painkillers and a general UTI antibiotic and told me to stop taking the doxycycline. After that the symptoms seem to clear up. A week or so later the doctor I saw when I first had symptoms requested me to come and see her, she informed me I had Ureaplasma and prescribed me the doxycycline again.
Went back another 2 weeks later to planned parenthood, she did a wet mount and said she saw white blood cells, so prescribed me doxycycline without running my urine since it could have been a false positive. Anyways, the doxycycline seemed to help the uti symptoms until it was finished, now I feel the same as before. Really confused??? Going back into the clinic Monday to get tested and probably prescribed something else. What could be causing this?

--- Test 1 was useless as the local doctor mistook the findings and told me I had UTI. Ergo, after 1 week of self medication with doxycycline I stopped and continued UTI medications for 2 weeks.
I was recently diagnosed with NGU and was prescribed doxycycline 100mg bid for 7 days. My physician said to abstain from sex until all the medication was gone. That is exactly what I did. I ended up having sex 4 to 5 hours after I took my last dose of doxycycline on day 7. Did I put my partner at risk by having sex so soon after treatment? Also, I took 13 out of the 14 pills. (I choked one of the pills back up and spit it out). Would that have an impact on the meds efficacy?
I went to a urologist and he prescribed me doxycycline and did a swab test and checked my prostate with an ultrasound machine (atleast that's what i think it was) and everything was normal. After a week i came back and the swab test was negative, but the doctor prescribed me doxycycline again for a week just in case. The symptoms disappeared, however after 1 or 2 weeks they started coming back and now, a month after, the discharge is white again and the urination is uncomfortable.
After 10 days passed and no relief from symptoms, on the 23rd of March I went back to the clinic and I was given a week course of doxycycline. After about 3 days, my symptoms changed from originally having a completely itchy urethra to no more itching but a random irritation in my urethra(the exact place is the portion of the navicular fossa furthest from the urethral opening) within 5 minutes after urination and if I squeeze it, it hurts.
I'm 23 years old, 1/22/18 I tested positive for Chlamydia after experiencing UTI like symptoms and was prescribed 2 azithromycin 500 mg tablets from planned parenthood. Symptoms disappeared but then reappeared 3 months later and I returned and tested positive again and was pescribed doxycycline 100mg tabs once a day for 7 days. After treatment my symptoms continued to persist and I worried that I was still not cured.
The first was 4 months ago, i went to the urologist for a std test and it was negative for all std. He said it was just an uti and he gave me a doxycycline, it cured after 4 days. The second pain was the month after and i went to the doctor again but this time for a uti test, guess what the test i was negative for a uti. The doctor said i might having a std but im so tired to get tested. So she gave me the same antibiotic but i didnt took it. The pain was for 2 days only and it was gone.
I visited GP B for UTI and lower abdominal pain. As discussed, i might have colic. My abd pain did go away after some laxatives. I went back for a review with my other GP - GP A and she gave me Doxycycline for PID without running further checks. At that point, i forgot to ask for further confirmation checks nor did i manage to ask if my partner needs to be checked/treated as well.
I started taking Doxycycline on the 11th and am on my 7/20 tablets.
2) Is doxycycline the usual treatment for STDs? and not treatment for UTI ? If my pain is reduced due to doxycycline does it mean I belong to STD problem?
3) can an STD show up positive on a UTI test (blood + urine)? I think the doctor only took the UTI test because I don't have a partner and don't have sex. it is possible that they focus on UTI. but the result is negative. no infection.
i was about to be cured from Gonorrhea but i skip some dosage of cephalexin, my problem now is i need to switch to CIPROFLOXACIN but i found out that it wasn't working for me some how im one of those patient's who were resistant to it according to the UPDATES on GONORRHEA RESISTANCE... should i go back to cephalexin? my dosage before was 500mg 3x a day...

It might be, it does seem a little light but it could clear a STD up if you had it. Best thing is always wait for tests. And I think this is why the Dr went light on the dosage.
I was diagnosed with epididymitis after a surgical procedure in early August. I was prescribed doxycycline and cipro and it seemed as if the swelling was going down and the pain was easing. s and started experiencing symptoms such a urethral burning and pain while urinating several months ago. I took Macrobid that I already had at home assuming it was a UTI. The symptoms seemed to come and go. They worsened around April, and I was diagnosed with chlamydia. I'm not sure when I contracted, but I believe it's possible I had it for a few months before being diagnosed.
I still have pain in my right kidney that I usually have with chronic UTI. I am taking Cipro now for E. facelis but infection will not go away. It is too the point I don't want to have intercourse with my husband. Also did two months of oral macrobid and clarithomycin both I and my husband. Don't know what to do please advise. Chronic UTI have been present since four days into our marriage, always after intercourse times eleven years. I am allergic to sulfa and pcn.
I was given an additional prescription for 100mg of Doxycycline 2x daily for 2 weeks. I am about halfway through and beyond minor side effects from the antibitoics, I am feeling MUCH better.
Basically my questions are:
1. Am I at a higher risk for HIV from this encounter now that I have become infected with Syphilis from this individual?
2. What would be your recommended screening/testing dates to know that I am not infected?

After 7 days of this exposure i feel UTI like symptoms and diagnosis done by a urologist and tell me that u have UTI. My urine culture was positive with E.coli. i took antibiotics Doxycycline, nitrofurantoin, fosfomycin, farobact, Mikacin . Symptoms go away after 40 days of antibiotic course. But after one month symtoms repeats.
After 3 months of this exposure i have pain in penis, burning senstation during urination & ejaculation, heavy yellow urine.i went to a urologist.
