2 weeks later i did a sputum test which showed I had klebsiella oxytoca infection as well as pseudonomas aeruginosa. They treated me with cetamadine iv for 7 days and 10 days of doxycycline (oral). The klebsiella was gone but pseudonomas remained. They then put in a pic line and gave me 3 daily doses of gentamyacin , and 10 days of zosyn . ( zosyn ran for 20 hrs per day and genta for 1hr) .

Left untreated, he may well lose his eyes. Most vets will work out a payment plan. Over the counter pain meds like Tylenol or aspirin, cats can not process properly and they will damage their liver. Hello, I had a little of Savannah kittens and when they were a few days old I noticed pus coming out of their eyes. I took them to the vet and got Pentamycetin eye drops to help whatever it is. I noticed the father (in a separate room) also starting to have teary eyes. I then took him to the vet and got blood work done. Nothing showed up. Then I had another vet recommend an eye swab for the kittens. It came back positive for D355 Mycoplasma. I then checked my other cats and they have it too.

If this amoxicillin or ciproflaxin is human medication, do not give this to your cat as this is made for human consumption not for cats. Take your cat to a vet to be properly diagnosed and treated. Under no circumstances should you ever use human prescription meds on a cat.

I was prescribed to take 100mg of Doxycycline twice daily for 14 days. Now after completing the full course of antibiotics the symptoms are still present. As a result, I re-attended the health clinic for a test-of-cure and I was informed that a PCR urine test could not be taken until 5 weeks had passed due to traces of the dead bacteria effecting the result.
