dose of ranitidine for babies

ve been paranoid ever since I learned that Ranitidine had been recalled due to a link to cancer. Is a 2 month dose of Ranitidine something to worry about?

Well Nexium is a Proton Pump Inhibitor and Ranitidine is a H2- receptor antagonist, which means they doe the same job but at different parts of the process. There is no huge risks, but why spend money on both drugs when the Dr could simply increase the dose of one?

Over a year ago i was given ranitidine for the treatment of GERD. I took my first dose and i started to feel nausea so i went to bed, during the night i started vomiting and not like any vomit i had ever experienced before. i thought nothing of it, until my heart began to race through out the night. the next morning i thought i might be allergic to one of my medication as i was prescribed 2 medication all at once.

A couple years ago he also put me on 20 mg Omeprazole to take once a day for 14 days, after which he said I could start taking the Ranitidine again if i still had the heartburn.

I’ve been having cramps and major bloating feelings super emotional but no period. I am on a low dose of Zoloft and ranitidine for acid reflux but that has never interrupted anything. I was also on antibiotics and Tylenol with codeine for some tooth issues about 2 weeks ago but I’m finished with that. I just feel bloated and look huge. If anyone has any suggestions of what this could be besides pregnancy. How much longer should I wait? The month is almost over.

t do anything for me. Other than the temazepm, I currently take Adderall, Zyrtec and Ranitidine. I never take my last dose of Adderall later than 5pm. I would appreciate any advice.

I also take a digestive enzyme and probiotic. I took a double dose of the probiotic for about 2 - 3 months a while back after taking a lot of antibiotics. That got my reflux under much better control. Let me know if you have any more questions. Take care and feel better. God bless.

I too get heartburn late at night and it gets worse laying on my left side and my remedy has been been a box of water ice lol but thanx again for this tip

My son was diagnosed at 4 months and ever since he has been put on meds everything has been great. He still has issues with drinking but its a whole diffrent problem. I think he is on Zantax (?) Its called ranitidine on the bottle but I think its generic for zantax. He takes it 2x's a day and he hasnt thrown up since. A little spit up now and then but other than that nothing:) I would ask your peds about meds, it really helped for us:) Good luck!

After running routine physical exam, the doctor determined that my shortness of breath was do to acid relux. She started me on ranitidine. For 2 1/2 days I felt good. This morning I woke to an adrenaline rush. It lasted for 8 hours. I also had shortness of breath and I was really congested and my mouth really dry. I called the doctor and she just got back to me saying that ranitidine does not cause adrenaline rushes. She can't explain my shortness of breath. Could I have an allergy?

hiya and thanks for the reply hes currently on 400mg of quentipine and doctors have just started him on 10mg of fluxitine hes tried group therapy play therapy and seeing a councillor although i had to fight for it as shrink still thinks he isnt bi polor although diagnosed by the an expert luckly. Domperidone is taken 3 times daily before meak 30 mins.but Nexium brought lots of side effects for me.so the specialist switched it with Protonix20 same administer.after several days i have had it for 40mg.twice a day.i raised my bedhead 3"; now to 4".i still suffer from acidity erosion up to my mouth.i feel i have no life.

Now i am doubtful that i am pregnant as i removed my copper T recently. I am under treatment for stomach inflammation. i am taking ranitidine 150 twice daily for the last 2 months and buscopan when i have stomach pain. i take antacid when have heartburn if i happen to eat anything which is not suitable for my present stomach condition. pls tell me, is it safe to take those medicines if i am pregnant? or do i have to abort if i am pregnant? i am very much worried....thanks in advance.

I took a Xanax and a Nucynta 3 hours before this appointment. I also take Nasonex, Allegra, Ranitidine, Liver Support by 1 Body and also rarely Afrin for Spring allergies. I just finished a 5 day Prednisone pack for inflamed muscles in neck from degenerative discs Just recently diagnosed with Hep C. I am now left out on a limb and being treated like I am a liar and a drug addict. What would give me a false positive for morphine and a false negative for xanax?

m wondering if you may need to up your dose of Rantidine. When I first started reading your post I immediately thought of acid reflux, and you do have it. Ask your Dr if it would help to up your dose to see if that helps.

ve been getting much worse this past week. Had a lot of nausea going on and got prescribed Zantac (ranitidine). Took my first dose the night before last, was feeling a little better yesterday afternoon, then in the evening I ate a baked sweet potato and felt bloated, crampy, and tight all over my back and abdomen. I was also feeling lightheaded and weak while I was having these feelings.

Ranitidine is just the generic form of Zantac and I am on the same thing, also 150mg, and it is considered safe during pregnancy. I believe my doctor said it was like a Class B (for pregnancy) which is one of the safer things to use, anything below Class A or B is considered a little less safe, if I understood him correctly lol.
