Avatar m tn Women who do not have enough vitamin B12 in their blood before and after conception have a greater chance of having a baby with brain or spinal cord defects, a new study says. Most at risk may be vegans and vegetarians, since B12 is far more common in meat and animal-based foods, noted an American and Irish research team whose findings were published in the March issue of Pediatrics.. According to the study, women with low levels of B12 had at least 2.
Avatar n tn did anyone check the babies for lactose intolerance. the lactose could be in formulas, or caseinate in other products...which is a milk derivative. that and delayed gastric emptying could be an awful combo. hoping by now things have been resolved.
Avatar n tn Well, I hadn't had heart burn or indigestion problems in years but a few months ago this started up. well I got The walmart Ranitidine for it, amazingly after about 4 days of using this I started having normal BM, it took me a while to put two and tow together then I read on line in another article that this had helped in lab tests but not tried in cats yet. NONE of the vets had even heard of it, well, it only takes it 12-24 hrs to start working acording to this drs chart.
Avatar f tn this is worth than having my 3 babies all at once. Going Monday for a skin biopsy of the hives...have to clue how they do that. I AM MISERABLE, still taking meds, but hives go away for a few hours after taking prednizone, then come right back. I had to quit my job due to all this. I am on complete bed rest and would rather be dead than goin through all this. Appears that there is no END in sight in getting over ths.
97615 tn?1212682189 I am not taking anything for asthma except for an inhaler at the moment. I am tired of depending on drugs. I know that may sound ignorant but I want to help myself to help itself if you know what I mean.
Avatar n tn I have had hives for four months now. It all started when i put some sun tan lotion on and went out in the sun. Well, that didnt work and finally in August I went to see the doctor again and she referred me to a allergist.
Avatar f tn I didn't-she suffered that night-but my prayer was answered, she went on her own. Which way is easier for all of you who loved or loves your babies as much we did. I do not know. I do know that kidney failure is a horrible thing and there is no cure, it only gets worse in time. I have read and heard about dogs who lived for a year or two with kidney failure. The sub q's do help bring down the toxins. THERE IS NO CURE!!
Avatar n tn I am a nurse and so I will not say that any of the things suggested here aren't true for each of your children...It could be any of the simple things suggested to you. All of which if left untreated can lead to serious complications like hearing loss or esophageal erosion. However, I just saw the Mystery Diagnosis episode and it made me get out of bed and come down to the computer to research the doctor mentioned above... here's why...
Avatar n tn This regimen helps for about 3 to 4 hours but it always returns. I took Lunesta for a couple of times but not 2 nights in a row. Thats the only common thread I can see. Hope this helps.
Avatar f tn Hi there, I am a former Intensive/Coronary Care and Emergency RN but for the past 15 years have been on the other side of the fence as an energy clinician. Energy medicine works with the body's energy, ultimately the human body's nuts and bolts. Rather than dealing with symptoms we look for the cause of the problems! I have been having all the symptoms you guys refer to since as far back as I can remember (I'm 54).
Avatar f tn This causes a horrifying pain in the center area of the front of my ribcage which I have to take small breathes for the duration of the attack, which happens to be a total of 30 min. (give or take a few minutes) with a couple minute break in the middle of it. I break out into sweats and throw up quite frequently too. Doctors cant seem to figure it out. They even thought I had an escape gallstone, but none was found in the last surgery.

Avatar n tn I told the doctor and took a round of Prednisone for one week. I ended up with itchy hives for a few days, but they eventually disappeared. The swelling went away, but the itching has more or less stuck around since then. I get it on my hands and the sides of my thighs, but ESPECIALLY on my upper back, neck, scalp and chest. I have no rash or any other visible sign of any skin irritation. I've noticed I get hot+sweaty pretty easily lately and that usually leads to some irritation.
Avatar m tn We went to the doctor years ago for it, and all they told us was it was because he had a fever of 98.9,(fever?)!! I was wondering if and what the doctors have told you about it, I plan on researching to see what can be done. This is the first time I have heard of someone having a similar problem, it's nice to know.
