1033336 tn?1252509731 My baby doctor told me to not worry about the arthritis and pain from my child bearing hips they said take tylenol and the pain would go away well it did not I found myself lying in bed every day all during my pregnancy because of pain everywhere. I stopped working my excuse was to raise my family but really its because of the constant fatigue and also having two small children.
Avatar f tn It discussed the link between pain and foods. It does sound like you could have fibromyalgia but it may be complicated with the cervical issues. If you can try to come up with a list / a way of explaining how you are affected by your pain it would help you figure it out. Start a journal of your daily experience with your pain. Even if it's a few sentences daily. Start with headaches. Begin by describing where the pain originates from. Then describe the headaches. Explain how you don't sleep.

192368 tn?1224207730 I have the same problem, I have been diagnosed w/Fibro since 2002, I didn't have many symptoms back then but he blamed it on PTSD. Withing the last couple of years, I was "re-diagnosed" with every single tender point. This time they blamed it on depression. What they don't get is when I go in the office and try to explain my symptoms they won't listen to me and I get so angry so they label me "depressed".
Avatar f tn Somedays I cannot even get around. I haved asked many doctors if this stays with you or does it go away? Never got a straight answer. Does anyone know?
Avatar f tn I just shook it off like I normally do and think it will go away. Well it hurt a while and my leg kind of went a bit numb, and felt swelled up like it's cramping. It scared me. After my walk (exercise), both of my legs felt heavy and a bit achey eventhough I didn't walk a lot that evening. And believe me I am a walker. I would walk for one hour every night. And during the day too. My doctor thinks I stay up on my feet a lot, and it's just a part of getting old.
209591 tn?1267418314 Hi is about to make me either go to atlanta (4 hours away) or Duke (two states away)...He is sure what I am going through is Neurological as well..He agrees with the fibromyalgia, but believes I also have multiple sclerosis.
Avatar n tn I often just wish I could lie down and go to sleep. And if you do have a good day and go do something you are in bed for three days paying for it. Sorry did not mean to whine I am going through a very bad flair up right now and I am just fed up. Where do you go from here? I will pray for you and all of the other suffers out here that feel they have been desserted. Bless you.
Avatar n tn I do the exercises given to me by my DO, however, I have only short term relief from the shots. I apply ice. I still have the bursitis and it won't go away. I never had any hip injuries prior or since to cause bursitis. Does anyone else have recurrent bursitis with their Fibromyalgia?
4437322 tn?1354574957 Is there such a thing as severe fibromyalgia. Does it get worse over time for some fibro sufferers?
Avatar f tn Many individuals with other liver diseases do not suffer the pain seen in hepatitis C. And there is a high prevalence of fibromyalgia in hepatitis C patients; this is important for clinicians to appreciate, as the recognition of fibromyalgia in patient with hepatitis C will prevent assumptions of pain being due to liver disease—and perhaps allow for a more focused and correct treatment approach.
1839746 tn?1318550406 I am suffering from fibromyalgia for the past 7 years & recently underwent OZONE treatment for both fibromyalgia & disc bulge in L3,L4 & L4,L5. I had to takes injections throughout my back, neck, chest, hands and legs. I felt so light and free for 1 week post-treatment. Now I feel burning pain near my neck, head, hip region and legs. It is worse than before. I ham on complete rest for the past 2 months. Does ozone really work??? what is happening in my case??
Avatar f tn I have had a terrible cough that has been around since October. I think it is finally starting to go away. Antibiotics has given some relief. Decongestants is a waste of money. I heard on a t.v. program that they do not work, yet they make a ton of money every year. I was just wondering, because I was at a pain level of a 5 or so when getting my kids off the bus and when I came back in I was at about an 8. Australia would be a wonderful place to be.
5586759 tn?1370438872 It is a problem I have had since I extremely young (2-3 years old) Without the medication it isn't a question of how often does it happen, but how often does it NOT happen. Now I have read/heard what you are talking about. That the problems could be because my stomach is not making enough acid. To be honest I have not investigated this further other than reading about it. I am unsure if Dr.
975514 tn?1325001538 I think I have been misdiagnosed with Fibromyalgia. And I feel as though I am getting weaker and weaker lately. I need some opinions from the group because my doctor doesn't seem to want to help me. First, I have a strong family history of autoimmune disease including RA, Reactive Arthritis (my father), thyroid and diabetes. I have been diagnosed with DDD, degenerative facet disease, and facet osteoarthritis.

630344 tn?1280108583 Does anoyone else out there pregnant and have fibromyalgia? If so does it get better or do you stay in pain for the majority of the pregnancy, I am having headaches that pretty much do not ever go away and my muscles never relax and I was given the ok to take Vicodin for the headaches occasionally, but I do not want to take Vicodin on a daily basis and I need some type of relief. I was getting some relief in the sauna, but I am obviously unable to do this any longer.
Avatar n tn I have fibro and I know alot of people that do... and I have never hear of this being a part of it..
554442 tn?1221238825 It's a common misconception that fibromyalgia is an inflammatory or rheumatological condition, but it is not. While researchers still have many theories about the mechanisms behind fibromyalgia, many of them now believe the condition is more neurologically based. Aleve (naproxen sodium) and ibuprofen-based drugs (Motrin, Advil) are non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), and are most effective against pain that accompanies inflammation.
Avatar n tn Perhaps the long exposure was your traumatic event? Fibromyalgia is not something that will ever go away unfortunately. It can be managed though and some people can do so well in their management that they are able to put the syndrome at bay for a while. Playing softball again is not out of reach if you take care of yourself and have a good doctor. Becoming healthier takes a combination of eating right, exercise, proper medication management, and good relationships and social environments.
Avatar f tn sorry forgot to say that they grade u on a points scale,if u dont make a certain amount of points on there scale it will b hard the best thing to do is drown them in doc reports hope all goes well
Avatar f tn Unfortunately the information you were given about costiocondritis caused by fibromyalgia is incorrect.. By definition, fibromyalgia (FMS) is a syndrome, therefore does not cause any other conditions itself-in other words it is the sum of symptoms and imbalances, with some of those being necessarily present for its diagnosis. The cause of costiocondritis could possibly be one of the underlying causes fibromyalgia, which by the way remains unknown according to conventional medical science.
