Does allegra d make you sleepy

Common Questions and Answers about Does allegra d make you sleepy

allegra

Avatar m tn Is it safe to take both Allegra-D and Zyrtec. In short, I suffer from allergies. I find that I feel best when I take a single pill of Allegra-D in the morning and a single pill of Zyrtec at night. In part, I have been doing this because I haven't had to go to the doctor (or Canada) to get more Allegra D so I can take it twice a day. I was wondering what the possible side-effects, besides fatigue, are of the regimen I'm taking? I've felt much better since beginning it.
151928 tn?1275707337 I can't say I feel nauseous, but it does make me feel tired and just blah.
Avatar m tn We are currently traveling, since around 6 days ago my wife suddenly had a allergic reaction to something causing her to break out in red spots (without bumps) on her arm joints, knee caps, foot and hands which itches and swells. She has been taking claritan D and benedryl but that helps only a little. Yesterday she went to the ER and they gave her an IV with an antihistamine and anti inflammatory corticosteroid with 2 days worth of the same in pill form.
Avatar f tn Part of this is that are very common symptoms on brimonidine In fact in 20% of glaucoma patients on the generic version the medication has to be stopped because of complaints of redness, irritation, pain and discomfort and dry mouth and bad taste in mouth. If you still have it read the package insert that you get when you get a new bottle of medicine. Or go on the internet and read the side effects.
Avatar f tn Coughing alot does make you pee your pants. Hope you feel better soon. Call your doctor also to see if you can take something.
Avatar f tn My doctor actually told me that allegra was fine to take as long as its the regular kind not allerga D. But I didn't take it all of the time... N my baby is perfectly healthy, benadryl is good to take too.U should ask ur doctor n see what ur comfortable taking Bcus everyone is different.
Avatar m tn Well I have had Hashimoto for the past 10 years, and I also have had allergy problems and have taken Allegra D for the past 4 years. I don't think allegra had anything to do with my hashimoto/hypothyroid.
Avatar f tn I started acupuncture this year and no sinus infection so far and I have cut all meds but Allegra out and found that even when I was not taking anything even Allegra that I was still so very tired and sleepy most every day which is why they did the EBV test and several other tests. I was just curious about the one EBV test that was flagged high. Thanks for the link.
Avatar f tn If the only evidence you have is what you described above then i think you need to give her the benefit of the doubt until you have something more incriminating. Opiates dont normally dilate peoples pupils. They are more generally known for having the opposite effect.. ie; constriction of pupil size. I have been told that when i took benzos that i would often get belligerent and arguementative.
Avatar m tn Hi, I am sorry about the trouble your hubby is having. I took two antihistamines during treatment. Benedryl and Allegra D. The "D" part is important because it is a decongestant. It is available as an over-the-counter drug in most states. However, it will also keep some people awake especially when they first start taking it. I took it for a long time prior to treatment and it doesn't bother me anymore but still. Your hubby should ask for help with getting some sleep.
Avatar m tn Something alarming happened today. I took two allergy pills around 10:00pm. Around 12 pm I had a baowel movement. The stool looked... fluffy. Not diareah (-sp?) like, but spongy. There were two white things floating. When I looked closer I realized they were the allergy pills I took. It was Allegra D. Could this be the reason they haven't been working like they used to? I mean, they hardly looked like the outer coating was gone. Should I go to the doctor? Be alarmed? That was kinda freaky.
623944 tn?1244035490 So sorry you are low. I think most of us can relate. Weather has turned cold and rainy here so I have been feeling it, too. Taking the meds that take away the pain but they also make me sleepy. Cannot wait for Thurs when it is out of the area....
1580703 tn?1651904887 t really help my wheezing, even the fexofenadine or allegra-d and I still have severe sleep apnea
Avatar n tn I was reading your post and was wondering what your withdrawing from and how long has it been? I am a bit concerned that you are using valium, requip, morphine, etc... If your w/d off of opiates, then why use the morphine? Just an opinion, and you can tell me to shove it, that's o.k., but do you think it's the best idea to w/d using other drugs? Kind of defeats the purpose, don't you think?
Avatar m tn Also do these basic blood tests Vitamin D. Vitamin B12 and Ferritin. Out of these Vitamin D or 25-hydroxy Vitamin D3 test is very essential as over 90% of hypothyroid people are usually low on this.
Dog by the time I got to read your reply I had already purchased a product suggested by live chat pharmacist Ronda R...she said Allegra D or Claritin D(generic) and local Walgreens sold my wife Wal-itin D........contacted my Dr. and he also stated the same as you 'I would suggest not taking pseudoephedrine with metoprolol. It could elevate her heart rate. Loratadine by itself would be fine.
345124 tn?1234483278 the sinus inflammation is caused by some unknown allergy that i am around all the time, the drip is clogging up my eustachian tubes or has entered my middle ear somehow, and because of that im getting equilibrium and dizziness problems. does this make sense? should i be concerned about something more dangerous? i would really appreciate a doctor's input or a similar experience from someone else who has seen an ENT. well really i just want to hear reassurance that everything is fine.
Avatar f tn I was recently prescribed xanax an am afraid to take it because of all the warning labels. What does it do to you? Does it help you with the panicy feeling, or just put you to sleep. Is it anything like atarax?
Avatar m tn If you can afford to (sort of pricey at $20 for a 2 week supply) I would get Claritin-D or Allegra-D. They have an antihistamine as well as a decongestant. You have to get them from a pharmacist (behind the counter) and show your ID. I take Claritin-D daily for the same symptoms you have. I get bad headaches at night and my nose gets stuffed, with sneezing and runny eyes. Since starting Claritin-D, I no longer have that problem unless it wears off before I go to bed.
Avatar f tn I was OK to take Allegra. Ask your Dr. But I know Allegra is safe as well as benadril. And claritain. When in doubt ask a Dr.
Avatar n tn I'd be interested to know what input you get about this. I have been having what seem to be allergy episodes -- nasal congestion, watery eyes, clear mucous -- for a day or 2, then it's gone. I don't use decongestants as I have a history of Afib, pac's & pat. My first episode, I woke up with Afib and ending up needing to be electro-converted. I am abut ready to see an allergist, as I can't identify a trigger. Is the omeprazole a proton pump inhibitor for reflux?
Avatar n tn t for that I got prescribed some Vitamin D pills when do you guys think is preferably better to take them in the am or pm?
