Have your doctor check you for whooping cough. If you cough so hard that you throw up, it may be that. If you have GERD or Reflux, you may not necessarily have heartburn or chestpain. Your stomach may secrete extra acid and this will cause symptoms like coughing/choking. If you do have GERD the medicine NEXIUM would help tremdously.

Does sound like Fibromyalgia. But it also sounds like Mono. Some years ago a water faucet at school was contaminated with Mono from some kid's lips. Almost all the kids in that school came down with Mono. He needs to be checked for Epstein Barr.

Are you able to hold fluids down? Try drinking some chicken or beef broth so you can get some nutrients and take a couple tylenol to help with the sore throat. Make sure you keep drinking water even if you throw it up because you don't want to add dehydration into the mix. If you throw up constantly then most likely you will rupture a vein in your throat. I did it with both pregnancies. The won't do anything about it. It's not a health concern apparently. They will just try to prescribe you meds to help with nausea.

I k ow there are over the counter cough drops that kind of numb your throat so that may help momentarily when you have irritation in that area and see if there is anything that you may get prescribed for to take to keep the mono dormant. Do a lot of research on your own to and see if there are drugs out there that may help. That's what I do because there is only so much doctors will tell you.

I'm 38 years old and have migraines triggered by hormones. April 8, I woke up with the worst migraine I've ever had, causing me to throw up even. Firstly, generally mono (caused by Epstein Barr virus) doesn't usually give you mono like symptoms once you have had it but you can be infectious to others. As for chronic fatigue syndrome. They are undecided as to whether Eptein Barr vrisu or Human Herpes virus type 6 causes it or not. They haven't named any specific virus but there seems to be an association with it.
