Avatar f tn Hello, I am 23 years old and currently diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder and General Anxiety Disorder along with Post traumatic stress disorder but the past 5 or 6 months I have been questioning some of my diagnosis. I did some research on some stuff that has been going on with me since I was a child and I strongly think I could be add/adhd.

993488 tn?1249453190 my doctor just told me i had post traumatic stress syndrome, and honestly i'm not sure what that means... why are the "symptoms" of this disorder? Are there any long term issues i should worry about?
Avatar m tn she said the reason i got addicted and worry so much is due to losing my leg when i was 15. not sure if i agree with her. i do think about it sometimes when i see someone running or walking fast, i think to myself "i wish i had my leg back". or if i see myself in a video i realize "I WALK WITH A LIMP". but i then think to myself "it could be lots worse" then i forget about it.

5210218 tn?1365167402 t dounbt that you have some depression issues but to me it sounds more like PTS (post traumatic stress), or it may even be PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). I think the best thing you can do is try to continue with the counseling. Depression works a little differently than PTSD. The symptoms you are describing with the anger and fear sound a lot like PTSD.
Avatar f tn Post-traumatic stress disorder not Post traumatic shock disorder. I am also saddened by fact that I have not found support to have this forum as it seems so many have problems with PTSD.
Avatar f tn Do birds experience post traumatic stress and is there anything we can do to help him get over the experience? And wilI he ever go back to his normal behavior? I have been keeping the dogs away from his cage, but other than that I am not sure what else I can do and I feel terrible as he is loved so dearly.
Avatar f tn Not eating unless I make her This has come out of no-where - does any of this sound like Post Traumatic Stress Disorder? Who should I take her to see - all GP's in our area are hopeless Thank-you in advance.

Avatar f tn org/forums/PTSD---Post-Traumatic-Stress-Disorder/show/316. This said, I think it important that you tell your parents what is going on and see if you can get in to see a therapist about it so you can sort out the dreams and hopefully resolve it. Take care. Keep us posted on how you are doing.

957549 tn?1273722033 after a fairly traumatic series of events, I slowly began to develop more stress about things that make no sense. I feel like my hands have to feel clean at all times, my hair needs to be washed, preferably twice a day and inspected all the time for grease. Sometimes I have to shower right after I just showered because I feel like it's still dirty.
Avatar m tn The flash backs are more than likely not bipolar, that part sounds more like Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. I have that too. It really sux to relive things you would rather forget. It usually is something that was very traumatic to you. Maybe you should try to find a clinic that charges according to your income. If it is a medical clinic they can probably refer you to a psychiatrist. Only a doctor can diagnose you and get you the help you need.
877402 tn?1241569071 Hi everyone i have a few posts you can check em out but I suffer from PTSD ( post traumatic stress disorder). I was abused by my ex husband for 3 yrs .

Avatar m tn I am schitzo effective, obsessive compulsive and post traumatic stress syndrome. I find that I constantly have racing thoughts which severly have caused me to loose sleep. Every other day I am up all night. I am interested in finding a medication that might control these thoughts. My body will not accept SSRI's or anti-deppresents. Any helpful ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Avatar f tn Post-traumatic stress disorder is a type of anxiety disorder as I understand so yes it can be one reason your heart failure developed. I strongly believe mine happened because of high stress level for years and very high for a few months. Even with family history, viral infection, and long time not treated high blood pressure that all also factors, and I had them all ,if the stress level wasn’t that high that I had I probably never get down that suddenly and badly.
