Avatar f tn Approximately 30%-40% of people with ADHD have an anxiety disorder such as obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), generalized anxiety disorder (GAD)/excessive worry, agoraphobia, panic disorder or other anxiety issues." (From the first link below) - you may be correct in your thinking. Let me first give you a few very good links on adults, ADHD, and anxiety. This is a great piece on ADHD and Anxiety. You might even want to print it out and give it you your psyc.
Avatar n tn I am a stay at home mom and have always had some anxiety about crowded places, flying on a plane, stuff like that but I get my attacks when I'm sitting at home in my comfort zone, I just don't get it. I don't drink alcohol, have never been a coffee drinker but I do occasionally have to have chocolate and I drink at least once a day caffeine free Pepsi, I am however a smoker. I have stress in my life like everyone else but just don't understand why or how it started.
Avatar m tn I feel so bad for him...and wish I could fix this. One question i have for you all is do any of you suffer from anxiety? I've also read a lot on vertigo and wondered if this was anything like that...the objective kind...where your brain is giving objects a sense of movement when there isn't any. Vertigo doesn't always have to be feeling like things are spinning.
433412 tn?1232558056 It is sometimes prescribed, long term, for social anxiety or generalized anxiety disorder, but seldom for major panic disorder. You said you were put on Effexor in January. I will assume you mean THIS January, not January,1945. You have been on it a very short time. I wonder if you gave it enough time to reach it's therapeutic effect? And I am going to scold you now! NEVER take it upon yourself to discontinue ANY med without your doctors approval and guidance!
Avatar f tn It will consume me and cause me more anxiety and depression. I like the point you made that I do have other options and routes, and to have him explain further on why he is doing this or that. Part of me feels trapped like this is the only option. This is my first time taking something like this and it's just new and scary. I really appreciate the support being that I’m so unfamiliar with this class of drugs.
Avatar n tn Changed my diet (was drinking lots of soda and taking NSAID pain relievers every day) for the most part, but due to my work schedule I do eat too much fast food to this day. I drink nothing but water now, I have been watching everything I do. I wait tables at night so being on my feet seems to always help, and these pains occur a lot less. Also they seem to have gotten better by doing 2 weeks course of Prylosec OTC. But still I am not "cured" and I just had an episode today.
Avatar n tn Well that's what I hope-related to some kind of yeast thing, and not HPV-which would mean I have to wait until it runs it's course with me. My doctor actually told me to stick with the gold bond if it works, but that's treating the symptoms...sigh. I just had a run of anti biotics after a surgery, wouldn't that take care of any kind of BI/yeast/uti??
