Do heavy periods make you tired

Common Questions and Answers about Do heavy periods make you tired

Avatar m tn With anaemia, that too can make the menstrual cycles to become irregular, either too heavy or scant or complete loss of periods. If you have been feeling very tired, then it is highly likely that you have anaemia, and in this case you should make an appointment to see your doctor soon and not wait 2-3 months (see my message below with regard to your periods). Any changes to the menstrual cycle that are not related to pregnancy are not normal.
Avatar n tn This was definitley my best option. I'll try to update you all in a week or so. Make sure you do your homework ladies!
Avatar n tn PS (When I was at 9 taking Epo once a week KEPT me at that number (but oddly I started feeling better as I got used to being so low) and it was ONLY when I got it TWICE a week 40,000 x 2 that my HGB went UP. You might need that too as low as you've gotten - if you do you ASK right away!
Avatar f tn First when was the last time you had any bloodwork drawn to check your anemia? Are your periods heavy? You are tired all of the time: How much sleep do you actually get in the nighttime hours? Are you taking frequent naps? You say you are dieting, give me an honest example of what you eat in the corse of the HONEST reply to that one. What are you drinking in the course of a day? After you answer of few of these questions, I might be able to help some.
Avatar f tn Have you been checked for anemia lately? Cysts can cause heavy periods which can lead to anemia.
Avatar m tn How do you go about finding an endo specialist?
Avatar n tn I know you like to run...maybe it's time you make sure that you are healthy, so you can continue what you love to do..

Avatar n tn how do you take this treatment? 50mg for 3-5 days, when should me and my husband have sex?
Avatar f tn What exactly should I do to make sure that I'm able to get the treatment that I need when I'm not even sure what's causing my problem in the first place?
332176 tn?1220545562 If you think you are pregnant, and really believe it, you can have symptoms. To have cramps, nausea, and heavy and sore boobs before you miss a period is not likely. I think you maybe overreacting. If you are late for your period, keep testing because it is bound to show up. But if you still have a week to go until your period this month, you are not having symptoms unless you are pregnant from last month or something.
Avatar m tn If I nap I wind up sleeping for several hours, so it is not a good idea, and I only resort to it if I am extremely tired and there is someone nearby to wake me up. 2-) Lectures make me feel sleepy. I feel sleepy at meetings too, and watching TV, even if the content interests me. However, I was never able to use those to my advantage for sleeping when I want to sleep, and those naps tend to be short - 10 minutes long at most. 3-) I am not depressed as far as I know.
Avatar n tn ok so i kinda need some advice my last three periods or what i am calling a period have been really abnormal and only lasting like 3 days but i have no period symptoms!!!! i have horrible cramping, fever (basically every bad thing we could have during periods) and super heavy bleeding & clotting ... during my periods but not lately!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Avatar f tn You'd have to discuss with your doctor how much your risk of recurrence increases when your TSH isn't suppressed. Do you have lab history? If you do, I'd like to see it 1) when you were on 150 mcg, and 2) for the past two years when you've been feeling well. Has anyone been testing FT3? Please include reference ranges from your lab reports as they change from lab to lab and sometimes even change over time at the same lab.
Avatar n tn Whisk the yogurt and water and drink it three times a day, slowly sip away during the day, and take 2 Gentle Iron tablets (its chelated iron by Solgar you can buy from any good health store - GNC). Make sure you eat something before taking the iron. Eat cool food, because there is too much heat in your body, which iis mbalancing your hormones. Cut out all meats except fish, eat tofu or quorn instead, lots of greens, lettucce, egg white (no yolk), cooked carrots, potatoes, sweet fruits only.

901991 tn?1281613225 Bleeding at this stage is probably not implantation bleeding. I don't know who told you that you are having "heavy implantation bleeding" and that such bleeding indicates multiples, but it does not sound like anything that came from a doctor. Good luck, I hope you get an answer soon. Have you tested yet?
Avatar n tn but after it just got heavier..not so heavy like heavy heavy periods but i would say is medium heavy and bright red..not dark..with some little clots not as much as my regular i dont know anymore im really confused..its my first time having sex without protection..i am 18 years old..i just need some help..i wanna know if i could be implantation bleeding or just my darn period..i just dont get why on the day of my period i spotted once in a wipe..and then 10 days after im bleeding...
Avatar n tn If you have Endo talk to your Doctor to use the pill just for a period of time to treat Endo because I think that I used the pill for too much long (7 years). If you have no problems or even if you have heavy periods, don’t go for the pill or Depo. You will regret it. My sister always had and has heavy periods and her Gynaecologist didn’t recommend her the pill and I am telling her that she should be happy to have her body natural.
Avatar n tn Thanx For Your Reply... Still Dont Know But Im working on Gettin insurance to cover my doctors visit so i will finally have some insight or hadleast i hope so.
Avatar n tn Heavy first period after miscarriage. July 17, 2008 You have all made a valuable contribution to me. I miscarried at approximately 3 and a half months and 5 weeks after i am having my first period. It was accompanied by a lot of cramps, heavy bleeding and clots. I thought i had miscarried again. I am on day 4 and the bleeding has lessen. Thank Jesus for this. I had gotten a bit worried that we had unprotected sex so soon after my miscarriage.
Avatar n tn Heavy bleeding one day, clots, cramps, and then tapering off. I wonder, how far along were you? If you were several weeks you may need an ultrasound to make sure your MC is complete. Tissue can be left inside and infection can occur. I guess it's different for everyone, but if it goes on too long, you might ask for a D&C to clean your uterus out. Good luck, and I'm sorry.
Avatar f tn Also gall bladder disease has to be ruled out. Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts.
Avatar f tn Your doctor would check your bp over a period of a few weeks or get you to wear a bp monitor belt or one that you wear on your wrist to determine if you do have hypertension and whether you required any medication for it. You have a very demanding life style, have sedentary job, travel an hour there and back to work, overtime, muscular skeletal problems and a young family to look after.

Avatar n tn i had a hysterectomy 5 1/2 years ago (kept my ovaires) because i was so anemic from heavy periods. i have noticed on my blood work that anything to do with red blood cells seems to be on the low end of the normal range---and was told that looked normal for a menstruating woman---i hadn't had a period for several years at that time. i still have four children at home--my youngest just finished 1st grade---and i just don't have the energy to do the things for my kids that a mom should do.
1779215 tn?1349141170 I have been feeling so much cramping on my stomach and back, nauseated, extremely exhausted I can't even explain and Hot flashes throughout the day. The hot flashes make me light headed, dizzy and makes me loose my appetite. When I was pregnant with both my kids during both pregnancies I did experience hot flashes as well. My nipples are sensitive and my boobs feel so sore- I have the white dots around as well.
Avatar f tn Hi, when you stay of the carbs, do you mean potatoes, rice and pasta. I think my endo dr specialised more in diabeties than thyroid that why iam going for a second opinon.
491352 tn?1258810695 I did not need any thyroid meds after my partial, my levels were fine. You may or may not need thyroid meds are you are having a partial as well. Just ensure they do regular bloodwork. Good luck!
