1842569 tn?1320917441 Thank you for your comments, I have been told I have "Menorrhigia" and i have been put on for an ultr-sound & am on "combined oral contraception". My doctor says that if I have a problem i will be put on The Pill.
Avatar n tn Hey! It's not abnormal for people w/ Hashimoto's to feel mentally exhausted, or to not be able to sleep at night. I get the same thing!!! But you have to realize too that as someone w/ Hashimoto's, it's a steady deterioration of your thyroid gland. Basically your body feels like your thyroid gland is an enemy, and it's attacking it. I feel like that ALL the time. Last time I was tested, at 75mcg of synthroid, my TSH levels were at 5.97.
Avatar f tn First when was the last time you had any bloodwork drawn to check your anemia? Are your periods heavy? You are tired all of the time: How much sleep do you actually get in the nighttime hours? Are you taking frequent naps? You say you are dieting, give me an honest example of what you eat in the corse of the day.....an HONEST reply to that one. What are you drinking in the course of a day? After you answer of few of these questions, I might be able to help some.
Avatar f tn I started my periods at 12 and my dr recommended birth control because of heavy i bled.
Avatar f tn I am 41 and have had very heavy periods for many years. I can go though a super tampon and a pad in an hour. I told my Dr an she wasn't concerned but I think it's making me very tired. Should I be worried?
3102470 tn?1341314599 they are very bad and heavy flow. is their any suggestions why it could be like this or what you could do for it ???? they never where painful when i first got them but now they are terrible. i also get very tired with them.
Avatar f tn Have you been checked for anemia lately? Cysts can cause heavy periods which can lead to anemia.
Avatar f tn It lasted about 4 days, which is typical for me. It was like a normal flow period, medium to heavy. My periods are usually light the first day, heavy the second couple and then light the last. So this one was pretty typical for me. The only odd thing was that it was about a week late. My cycle averages 29 to 33 days, but it was about 38 days this time, which isn't normal. I had had intercourse about a week and half or so before I was expected to get my period.
Avatar f tn Addendum: But yes, you should see your doctor. If you're that tired, you may have anemia, and a simple blood test will detect this and the type, if you do. And regarding the getting your period no later than a few hours after being intimate with your boyfriend... Do you mean since this three-week thing started?
Avatar f tn Do you have painful periods as well or just heavy bleeding? Blood clots are usually normal but with heavy bleeding it could be something else.
1416390 tn?1333901604 I had a c section 20 mos ago. since then my periods have been really heavy and there is always a day I seem to gush blood. Well- my period came a week early this month and last night I seemed to have passed a lot of blood- that seemed really red. Now that I am up it does not seem to be flowing so strong. I don't have any pain- slight cramping. I am not sure whether I should go to the ER or not- hate to go if it is just my period! Just seems odd there was so, so much.
12205224 tn?1424027156 I am 53 years old. I have always had heavy periods, but lately my periods have lasted a long time, sometimes two weeks or more, and they become very heavy with lots of clotting. I have to wear two super plus tampons at a time and a pantiliner because they always leak. I hate it! What should I do? What can be done to make this more tolerable or stop altogether?
Avatar n tn I was on depo from March to October. Depo lasts, supposedly, 3 months in your body. I had received the first in March and the second in June and I didn't get any after that. I didn't have my period at all during March until the very end of September/beginning of October.. which is normally when I would get periods. I'm still recovering from the depo. My periods out of whack and my horomones are just everywhere. But the main point is; I just want to know if it made me infertile.
Avatar m tn aftter that i didnt get periods for three months and on October 16th last month again i got periods and still it didnt stop. some times the bleading is very high still i didnt consult a doctor becoz im worried if they ask me to take birth control pills so from that il have any side affects... some please tell me what should i do im fedup of this please help me...
Business woman1 is there any other way to make it normal during those days
Avatar m tn With anaemia, that too can make the menstrual cycles to become irregular, either too heavy or scant or complete loss of periods. If you have been feeling very tired, then it is highly likely that you have anaemia, and in this case you should make an appointment to see your doctor soon and not wait 2-3 months (see my message below with regard to your periods). Any changes to the menstrual cycle that are not related to pregnancy are not normal.
Avatar f tn What happens during those days, how you feel, what you ate, how you slept. Do you have widespread pain also. Sort of like your fluish for those few days?
Avatar n tn Like another comment said, birth control can help with long or heavy periods. It has been prescribed by many doctors for those specific reasons.
2149769 tn?1336436567 I have gone for 3 months without a cycle, would it be heavy and have clots when you have gone that long without one. On April 24, 2012, I have noticed that I have not had this type before. It was light and constant, seeming like it was going away but was still there (lasted for 3 1/2 days). Plus with lower abdominal cramping for 1 hr. Plus the night before I started, I had a milky white discharge when I went to the restroom too. I have no idea what is going on with me.
969042 tn?1259067775 My daughter asked me to ask this question. Do you feel TIRED all the time thanks to your allergies? Please I hope to get many responses cause if NO then I can tell her to go see a doctor about this.
Avatar f tn My periods are on the heavy side, last 5 days first 3 days are heavy. I do not take aspirin. (do take ibuprofen tho) Went to MD today, she wants me to go in for an EGD and a colonoscopy. Also need to do an occult stool test. Do you think this is a bit of an exaggeration? Or should I be worried? Overall I feel fine, tired at times,(but whose to say what tired is when you are 32, with two young boys and a fulltime job?) occasionally light headed if move too quickly?
1961938 tn?1398718101 You're over a week late for your period? You could have ovulated late so you might not be getting a positive, or your period might not be due yet. I'd test again in another week or so, if it's still negative, make an appt. with your OB/GYN and see what's going on! Good luck!
Avatar n tn Your mind will get you to stop. I recommend you talking to an OB/ Gyn about this. If you have heavy bleeding and mood swings there are things they can do for that. Drinking isnt one of them. Make that appt.
Avatar f tn I would monitor your periods, it may not be anything, or it may be something to go speak to your doctor about. Stress also can play a huge role on periods and they can act weird in many ways. My girlfriend told me she had lost her job over 7 months ago & since then didn't have a period and wasn't pregnant, she started working 2 weeks ago & she now has it again. It was all stress related.
