Avatar f tn Is there anything else you could possibly recommend to help me with this. I know they can only ever fade but fading to great extent would be bloody brilliant. Thanks Self conscious!!
Avatar f tn Acne scars and scars in general will fade over time. Many times we worry about marks on our skin and think everyone notices them or looks at them, when it is only us who pay attention to these "imperfections" we have. Truthfully, no one else really cares about the small scars everyone has, as no one has perfect skin. Plus, if the picture you have up is you, you can't notice a thing and you look pretty. I am being honest.
Avatar n tn Hi. Most post-acne marks are superficial and fade within one year. Applying Bio-oil or Palmers Cocoa Butter scar serum can help. Clinique also make a post-blemish formula which speads up the healing process and discourages future blemishes. If your scarring is more serious than this, good results can be achieved from microdermabrasion or laser treatment. Check out the acne forum for more information.
Avatar m tn what does it do will if fade scars cuz ill do almost anything to get rid of them
17198122 tn?1454502413 I could suggest cocoa butter. It has been known to fade scars. I inherited really bad acne with my genetics and easily scarring skin and have have used both of those on myself so I can say for sure that at least in my experience they work.
Avatar n tn Are you seeing scars from the pimples or pimples? Typically acne scars will fade with time, but that depends on the severity and your skin. If you are having issues with acne, I recommend trying either Proactive or a product called Unblemish by Rodan and Fields- both you can locate by searching Google for them and order them online, I believe.
Avatar n tn If you are talking about just like dark spots from post acne those can take up to a year to go away, they just fade away. But the deep ones are permanent unless you see a dermatologist and ask what they recommend by lookijng at them. I know I would like to get it done myself but it can be sooo expensive! Look it up online under a google search and type in acne scars and there are actually different types and it will tell you what kind of treatment works for what type of scar you have.
Avatar f tn i have acne and i managed to clear my face last week and there are just postinflammatory hyperpigmentation marks left where the acne was (reddish brown scars). i also have mild ice pick scarring and enlarged pores. i use acnecide 5% benzoyl peroxide gel every night for acne and yesterday night, i put on acnecide all over my fave and then put ambi fade cream with 2% hydroquione on top of it on my spots. i then put on aloe vera gel from holland and barretts as moisturiser.

Avatar n tn You don't need to do anything, Jim. Red marks left over from acne can take several months to fade, but once the Accutane has stopped new ones from forming the spots always go away. Save your money. You should be very happy in the not-too-distant future. Best. Dr.
Avatar n tn t deep or anything they just make the skin look red like scars from mild acne. The splitting of the skin has pretty much healed up completely but the scars are still there. Theres an annoying blister on there too. My question is: is it possible to get any laster treatment or or pulsed light or dermabrasion or anything on my penis to help with the scarring? A pamphlet for Palomar pulsed light says it can be performed anywhere on the body except around the eyes.
Avatar f tn I have a huge acne scar on my laugh line on my left cheek, The skin has been peeling off, but it still gets irritated easily and makes the scar look red. Will this prevent the scar from healing? Is this part of the healing process? It burns when I put any products on it and when I touch the area. It has been over a week since I first had the mark, but usually my scars don't get irritated so easily after a week. They are usually gone by then. Should I be worried that this might never fade?
Avatar n tn sorry for bothering...i have one more question...I thought that the acne scars and this type of scars are very similar...that's why I wanted to do TCA peel... but now you say it isn't...so can you tell me something about this type of scarring...how deep damage is? cause...they seem pretty shallow to me...and all this time i was searching for something that helps with acne scarring (since they seem very similar to me) cause there is nothing about electrolysis scars... and...
Avatar f tn Enough to say that I would not go out of the house without makeup. I am now 29 and my acne is worse than ever. I got off birth control over a year ago as I wanted to get my body ready to start trying to conceive. My face is constantly broken out, it's red, irritated, itchy and it hurts. I've tried countless products such a benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, beta hydroxy acids, clean and clear, tea tree oil and spectro gel, just to name a few.
Avatar n tn It is available as a patch or strip and safely reduces scars. For facial scars like acne, use ScarAway Serum. Very effective, although the patches (often referred to as silicone scar sheets) are most effective so use them when feasible, and serum only when you cannot use the strip in the area.
Avatar m tn A couple years ago, after a particularly rough incident on my penis, I noticed that the skin had broken in a small circlular area in the middle of the shaft, on top. After it healed (FWIW I used neosporin) and I guess the scab fell off, a scar appeared in the form of a lighter skin tone where the circular break had occured. The rest of my shaft is some-what dark, so this spot-scar stands out TO ME, and is inappropriately but frequently bothersome.
Avatar f tn scars on legs...knees..............is there something I can use to fade these scars away without surgery?? Ive heard of....fresh lemons rubbed on the scar to help fade them away...however never tried it...again........information...home remedies...creams that youve heard of would be a huge help.
2996663 tn?1374169076 Rubbing vitamin E into the scars 2-3 times a day with help. There is also a cream you can buy that is supposed to help fade the scars and I believe it's over-the-counter. Until they're gone, let them remind you of how far you've come and be proud...not ashamed. Don't allow them to make you feel ugly...they are your battle scars and you've won the battle! Time will also fade them. Keep moving forward and be proud of yourself.
Avatar f tn Like with scars they will fade over time. Depending on how bad they are will determine how much they fade and how fast. There are products sold that are supposed to help this process but I haven't found any that seem to make a difference.
Avatar n tn It is possible that laser treatment may fade some of the scars, but to be honest, I am not optimistic. See a local plastic surgeon to get an opinion about your scars.
Avatar n tn Now i thought scarring is indentions in the skin? Is it not and that acne redness will fade with time because according to my derm he said that my acne redness is scarring and that the redness wont go away and that theres nothing that can be done about it. He said that i'll have to live with it for the rest of my life and that the only possible treatment for this is laser. Is all of this accurate?
Avatar f tn Friction caused scars? Are you sure that's what this is? You should let a dermatologist see that. How long have you had the scars? Most scars fade over time, but check with your doctor to make sure it's just scars from injury and not anything else happening.
Avatar n tn how do i get rid of acne scars of my face im a black male and finding it hard to find the right thing to use
