572651 tn?1530999357 JemmAus, Without turning this into a political discussion, I would have to agree with you that we are being ripped off and subsidizing the worldwide cost of big pharma costs, including research. It is crazy how all of this works :-) My insurance co-pay for Copaxone is $50/month. There is a Shared Solutions program that covers my co-pay, so the reality for me is I'm better off, because I pay $00.00 each month for my copaxone.
Avatar n tn My problem is that my psychiatrist costs $75 a session. I live with my mother because of my problems and also because of a messy divorce (because of my problems). I am fighting to get my disability back, it was taken away so she (my mom) pays for everything at the moment. i have baby step plans towards getting my life back together which i'm trying to work on doing. I don't know if I could afford a different psychiatrist. Is $75 pretty standard.
Avatar m tn Medicare pays the first 80% and the supplement pays the remaining costs. That is why it is called a supplemental plan or MediGap plan. It pays costs that Original Medicare doesn't cover. Part B covers hospital outpatient services. Such as when you will go back to have an MRI or CT any Lab tests such as AFP etc. to assess how the TACE procedure worked one month after the TACE treatment. Part D, is the Medicare’s outpatient prescription drug coverage.
Avatar f tn Medicare pays $1000, I am charged over $3000 for the same test. I pay over $1000 out of pocket to make up what the hospital lost on the Medicare patient. I therefore can no longer afford MRIs. I feel for folks on these programs, I personally can't afford to pay the extra costs. Every cut to Medicare and Medicaid hurts those with insurance as well as those on the programs.
Avatar m tn Your deduction for tax purposes is your out of pocket costs (what you write the check for) regardless of what the actual treatment costs. And each insurance plan pays differently so it is absolutely impossible to tell you what your costs will be. To make it more complicated, your medical deduction is only that in excess of 7.5% of adjusted gross income (AGI). So if your AGI is $50,000 you can only deduct what you pay over $3,750. ....
Avatar n tn Most of the more elite surgeons (the top ones) but not all, do not accept insurance for their fees so expect to pay above what insurance pays. Most of the hospitals are still accepting insurance, so it is just the surgeon's fees... It is rough but in a lot of cases, you get what you pay for and you really want to get the best (pituitary or brain surgery).
Avatar f tn Well--some insurances DO cover the costs, and when I was in cycle, the costs were broken down. I paid the most $ for the medications. There was also a bill from the RE and a bill from the anesthesiologist. There were other costs as well, legal, laboratory fees, and travel, etc. To me, the money was worth it. Adoption costs are similar, although there is a tax credit for adoptive parents and none for us IVFers.
Avatar f tn then maybe she can find one who will not demand the $ all at once. I know some people who recently found an attorney who will work with them.
422823 tn?1229736847 Basically, what this means, is that in any given calendar year the most we will have to spend out of our pocket it $3,000 before the insurance takes over and pays at 100%. Prior to us meeting this $3,000 out of pocket maximum, my insurance pays at 80%. This calendar year, 2008, we have already met about 1,500+ of the 3,000 dollars. So: If we have baby in January we will add this years bills to a new set of $3,000 bills from L &D.
Avatar f tn I was married and when we separated I was happy and found someone for myself who always gave me a hard time because I was still married. I wanted a divorce and hated my ex but didn't get one for a long time because I hate that I had to be the one to do everything. I was always the one to have to do everything in our marriage so I liked not having to do anything but my bf kept complaining so I finally went and did it after being separated for 6 months.
Avatar f tn This is a difficult situation to get involved in, and there most likely isn't much you can do because they are not your immediate family or part of your everyday life. The most you can do is be there to support your brother and encourage him to seek treatment for his alcoholism.
Avatar f tn If so, you can suggest he pays child support. He sounds like the kind of person that if this is pushed (child support that he pays) he may just say goodbye. Otherwise, a restraining order in which you call EVERY time you see him getting near you. Do you have one of those?
Avatar f tn Back in 2010 Romney was all about universal health care and this is just another example of how far he will swing to pander to the party of the far right. I honestly dont know where this guy stands on anything from one day to the next.
Avatar f tn What does he have to do to be excluded? If he tells the courts its not his and wants to be excluded will they still demand dna and if so who pays for dna?
Avatar f tn Everything everywhere costs somebody something. Production costs the producers, so how can this not feasibly be passed on to the consumer? Somebody is paying for it, and I'd prefer that my tax dollar isnt being used to keep some college co-ed from being pregnant. With all of the problems concerning modern day academia, I find it amusing that there would even be a consideration of "handing" out the pill...... I am just so leery of the term free.
Avatar f tn So I have an appointment on Thursday I'm only 12 weeks but could I just tell my doctor I'm interested in that and get it done?
Avatar m tn Greedy insurance companies and greedy hospitals and doctors are selling bad livers to not so sick Americans! A liver transplant costs $500,000 and then the post op medicine is around $5000 or more a month. Wall street investors don't want their investments in insurance companies to quit making great profits, so co=pays are increasing, and policy cancellations are normal business practice now in America.

7343521 tn?1402371959 I know how you feel looking for a job and like you said ppl aint gunna hire a pregger chick lol I have primary placement so I think the placement is what determines who pays child support. I went after my kids dad cuz my girls deserve it and being as old as they are he's never really been around in their life.. like no calls or nothing on their birthdays. I have faith things will work out for you.
9403085 tn?1405038223 the thing is that my boyfriend has a boy and thats what he pays dor child support, beforevwe moved in together we would spend his check on his boy and his bm besides the child support money....
Avatar f tn I've been wondering about it too because I have one mom friend who raves about it and I don't quite understand it!
Avatar f tn t him and that it was either my sister or brother who did it and I believed him until he later confessed. So naturally I forgave him but time and time again I kept on catching him. When I eventually started making him leave the house he got suicidal. So there I was again helping him get the help he needed and letting him come home. He drinks alot expecially on the weekends. Most times he doesn't eat breakfast. He just goes outside all day and drinks till he cant go anymore late at night.
