I do know you are eligible for Cobra (36 months I think) under his insurance at work. It is expensive but you would get a rate given to all their employees ..better than nothing. If he makes the big $$$$ and you have been married more than ten years, it is possible that he could be made to pay for the Cobra. Ask your lawyer about it.

I am a FTM and my doctor gave me a long list of classes that are available. I was wondering what classes did you feel were well worth it and which ones to skip?

I'm a ftm, and I really want to take breast feeding classes, and the child birth classes.

So my husband is on my last nerve! I'm done with it we've been together since February 21, 2011 got married February 25, 2013. All he does is blame everything on me constantly picking fights! He's always right and I'm wrong Im done with it all, idk what to do at this point besides divorce, but then what happens after divorce???? We have a 1 year old and I'm 17+1 with our 2nd what happens in court about custody?? Anyone been through this??

The lamaze class teaches you to care for your newborn, diaper changing, swaddling, sids prevention, breastfeeding etc. Also includes how to breath during labor pain and what to expect when delivering. They explain inducing, csections, natural, epdidoal, and vag birth.

I would take a class more focused on postpartum recovery and infant care. What would be even better is if you could find a child birth class in your area specifically geared toward women having c-sections.

My husband kicked me out yesterday. He said he wants a divorce because he doesnt love me anymore. This is all so sudden, and a shock to me, because i thought we had a great marriage. OK so I have started thinking about what I am going to do for child care after my leave. I have 5 months after after the baby becuase I am a teacher and timing worked perfectly for us, but I can't decide what to do after that 5 months. I wish we both didnt need to work, but we do. I 've worked daycares and really don't like the atmosphere, but I ma afraid of hime care too. Any suggestions?????

During an argument with my husband he said he will move out of state and not be in my child's life. I'm 30 weeks pregnant. I have recently calmly asked him if he meant it and he said yes. He does not want drama and thinks that I will turn our child against him. That is a complete lie I have never once said anything degrading humiliating or hurtful about my husband to anyone no matter how angry I was or hurt.

I went to confront the professor and she begged me not to because she could be expelled from school. We agreed that she was to change classes and not have any more contact with that professor. I forgave her and we moved on. After coming back to FL we became distant, rumors started flying around about her and one of the men she works with. Being a woman I think it's silly to take classes for first time parents (I am 31 and the last of everyone I know to have kids). I have changed, bathed, fed, you name it I've done it.

I'm a little over 30wks (1st baby) and my doctor hasn't really said much about childbirth classes. Basically, the office says "take them if you want, but no matter what the baby will come out". Well, I *thought* the classes were a little more than just getting the baby out!! I have other prego friends who aren't taking them (this isn't their 1st baby) and tell me that when it comes time to push you "will just know what to do"....I'm so confused now!!!

Is anyone esle signed up for birthing classes? If so, what one(s) did you decide to take? We're taking the basic 4 week birthing class at the hospital and the Baby Care class and also the Baby Emergency class. Our classes start Dec 10. It seems too early, but they end on Jan 14 when I'm 34 weeks! I can't believe we're in the home stretch!

lol she never went back and had 5babies with no issues without the classes. my midwife says the classes are designed to prepare you for the worst case scenarios and also provide information. if theres anything I need to know my midwife will tell me I dont need to go to a class to learn it.. im nearly 30w I havnt gone and dont intend on going EVER.

I did it simply because I am a first time mom and just wanted to get as much help as possible. I suggest it because they don't just teach you things about giving birth but also how to care for a newborn baby after they are born.

Alot of moms Ive talked to said they never went to birthing classes and breathing comes natural when in labor.

you really should try na classes they have them everywhere and you dont take anything and the classes really help..you need support from people who are going through the same thing you are..it really helps i'm a single mom of 3 they are 13, 11, 9 years old and i was on oxy for 6 years..i got carried away with my medicine and lost everything but working the 12 steps with a sponsor in na classes have really helped me..

So im considering taking online classes so I can get some type of degree to where I can work from home. I have endometriosis, and Crohns disease. Soon ill have 3 babies to care for. I was looking into medical billing and coding but idk how easy it will be to get a job working from home right away? I want to be sure that I study something that I will be able to find work at home with. Anyone done this and found work from home?

The hospital I'm delivering at offers free prenatal classes to anyone del oh covering there. If you don't deliver there they offer them for a reasonable price. Check you hospital maternity floors. Also, babies r us offer pre and post natal classes.

So my husband and I have been seperated since June (almost my entire pregnancy) and he also filed for divorce. Its's been a very messy situation and he has caused a lot of unnecessary drama and stress to my pregnancy. He's made a kinds of allegations of mw cheating to me being abusive to him and our 2 yr old son. All of this really sycks because I am definitely considered "high risk pregnancy" which he knows but just simply doesn't care.

I never took any classes with my first. It is really just if you think you would feel better taking on, why not!
