The reason for this is "hormonal changes" in young males that often occur due to puberty and nothing to do with breast cancer.

Avatar f tn I recently had a bloody discharge from my left nipple, this was a large amount, bleed through my bra onto my shirt. I went to a Breast Cancer doctor, had a mammogram and ultrasound, showed nothing except dense tissue in left breast. They took a smear of the discharge, results came back with benign atypical cells, what does that mean? I had an MRI done on friday, still waiting on results.

Avatar f tn When the breast is squeezed a signal is sent to the brain which in turn will produce some type of discharge from the nipple. This is associated when a baby begins to nurse .... milk is produced and this is due to the squeezing (sucking) which sends that message to the brain. It's a reaction that is put in place for a purpose but occurs even with the intended purpose (for the baby to obtain nourishment). Aren't our complicated bodies amazing works of effeciency ??
