Common Questions and Answers about Discharge during pregnancy normal

discharge

Avatar f tn Health Sciences. “Because there’s an increase in vaginal discharge during pregnancy, it can cause irritation of the skin of the vulva.” So it could just be because of your discharge, or it could be a sign of an infection like a yeast infection, bacterial vaginosis, trichomoniasis, herpes or HPV. You may also be experiencing irritation from a soap, lotion or detergent you’re using. When should I go to the doctor with my vaginal itching or swelling during pregnancy?
Avatar n tn Every pregnancy is different, just because you didn't have any brown discharge with your first doesn't mean you shouldn't have any with this pregnancy either

Avatar n tn ve had 2 miscarriages, anyway, i am 6 weeks pregnant at the moment, and i know discharge increases during pregnancy, but when i went to have a shower, i noticed a blob of stretchy clear discharge on my underwear, exactly like the discharge during ovulation. Is this a sign of miscarriage, or is it normal?
Avatar f tn re experiencing that is CAN be a sign of pregnancy as a hormone is released during pregnancy that relaxes the bowels making it more difficult to have a bowel movement. Drink more water! First step I think would be to buy a box of yeast test strips AND a box of First Response pregnancy tests. You need to know if you are pregnant AND have a yeast infection as untreated infections can lead to problems. For constipation eat more fiber and drink tons of water.
1970192 tn?1331382870 i am currently getting clear thick jelly/egg white like cervical mucus and i am just wondering if this is normal during pregnancy? please help me with some answers, i need to put my mind at rest.
Avatar f tn The antibiotics are fine during pregnancy. I am on them myself right now for Bronchitis. As far as the discharge, it gets to be more during the pregnancy. If she is not uncomfortable and there is no bad odor then it is most likely the normal discharge of pregnancy. If there is an odor or if she starts itching or getting uncomfortable, then it could be a yeast infection, which some antibiotics can cause.
Avatar f tn Increased discharge is very normal during pregnancy..
385161 tn?1270081218 Just wondering if its normal to have a little more discharge during early pregnancy. i've noticed creamy abundant (sorry if tmi) lately and I am only 4 weeks pregnant. anyone know if this is normal...also any adivce about constipation...geeze this is a gross post lol, i am not trying to be gross intentionally, just tryin to get control of whats going on here. thanks for any advice I appreciate it.
Avatar f tn I'm 10 weeks as well and I notice I have a thicker type of discharge as well.
Avatar f tn I'm married, so yes, I have a partner.W used condoms during my infected time, and for awhile after. It isn't a yeast infection again because it doesn't itch, burn and isn't red or anything. It also doesn't smell bad, or like yeast at all. It smells like my normal everyday vaginal discharge. So maybe it is completely harmless? They say if it has no foul odor or any other symptoms down there with it, than it could be normal. I am wondering if it could be pregnancy related.
Avatar f tn It could also be implantation spotting, which I have read on numerous articles is normal during the 6th week of pregnancy. The pain could be because of your uterus growing or it may be something else. But to just be safe, I would call the doctor and let him or her know.
1396867 tn?1520810258 She hasnt had any odor or discharge, claims to be having normal BM, and hasnt been constipated. Being I have never been pregnant I told her Im sure its normal her body is going thru alot of changes right now, but to mention it at her next appt. She said its not all the time and sometimes its just if she moves a certain way. Does anyone know if this is normal? Or have any input?
Avatar f tn My period usually comes in the middle of the month, and I had unprotected sex during the start of the middle of the month. For about a week now, I've had pain that feels like my egg is trying to drop, or mild cramps. I also have alot of clear discharge, with an odor. I have a dr's appt set up for next month... could it be a yeast infection, or signs of pregnancy?
8459373 tn?1412685864 Hi there. Congratulations on the pregnancy! Lots of women do spot during pregnancy. If it is not accompanied by lots of cramps and then increasing and turning bright red, it's probably nothing to worry about. I had spotting in my pregnancies. Especially after things like intercourse.
Avatar f tn Very normal!
538174 tn?1234725096 There's alot going on in there, so discharge is very normal. As long as you don't have cramping or the discharge is blood, you should be ok. Ofcourse alot of women experience spotting as well. Are you on any meds? I use Prometrium suppositories for several m/c's and they cause alot of discharge. You should always run things by your DR ofcourse. I'm 5w1d & due on 2/16/09, so we're on the same track! Goodluck to you!
