I'm a 64 yrs. old woman who used to take Diovan 320 mg. & Toprol 50 mg. for my B.P. My B.P. readings was okay but my Doctor discontinued the Toprol because my heart rate usually on the 40's. I am currently taking Norvasc 5mg. with the Diovan 320 mg. So far, my B.P. readings is very good, 110/70. But eversince I started the Norvasc, my left leg is swelling and it is becoming worst. I'd like to ask my Doctor to discontinue the Norvasc.

His medication is Diovan 40mg changed from Zestril 10mg due to non stop cough, Plavix and b.aspririn, zocor and lepressor 25mg per day. I would appreciacte for your advice re whats the next step. I could not find his doctor today as its a govt hospital. My dad is very sure its the medication thats giving him side effects.

Effient-10mg, Zestril-2.5mg bid, Zetia-10mg, Lovaza-2g bid, along with those I already take which are: Toprol XL-50mg, Crestor-40mg, Zantac-150mg, and Aspirin-325mg. Now, it's been almost a week since my procedure and beginning the new meds. I have had an increasingly severe headache and dizziness on standing since I got home from the procedure with hot flashes, night sweats and also a low-grade fever last night. Could my symptoms be a result of one of the medicines or combinations?

my dad had a triple bypass last apr 21. last saturday, jul 4/2009 he started on diovan 160/12.5 (from corvesy+) and since Sat he's been experiencing chest pains that is not going away. is this a side effect? is he allergic to the this new med he's taking or is this angina? should he get himself to an ER?

I have high blood pressure and have been on medication for about 2 years now. I started taking Diovan 40 mg about 3 years ago, but my doctor thought it wasn't working so he increased it to 160 mg. Now all of a sudden my blood pressure was down to 85-90/50 with a pulse of 50'ish, i was dizzy and felt weak.
