Usually the sythroid/levothyroxine has worked, I also take digoxin and it has been working for 15 years but I started having the familiar heart palpitations and racing of 210 heart beats, but it only lasted 3 hours instead of the usual 24 or more. There are no doctors in Toronto taking new patients, my doctor is off with breast cancer. I have found a new doctor and we have lowered my thyroid medication because it was too high. But now I feel hypo, can't move no reflexes etc.

I was feeling a little bit hyper on this dosage. I was nervous, not sleeping , etc. I think that I seem to do better when my TSH is a little higher. I already had 100 mg of Synthroid, so I started taking the 100's, with the knowledge of my doctor, but by day 3, I was crying, emotional, and not feeling good at all. What does this mean? Was the 100 already not enough or should I try maybe alternating the 112 and 100, or does this mean that I need to stay on the 112?
maybe the best person to ask would be your pharmacist. It is usual to have to adjust doses slightly when changing from one brand to another.

I am wondering if you are uneasy about taking digoxin. If so, I would ask you cardio if you can get by with just the TOPROL XL. Digoxin, xanax, toprol xl, and lisinoprol seems like a lot of stuff to be taking.
I am a runner and only take TOPROL XL 12.5mg. This knocks out my extra beats and really slows my heart down. A little seems to go a long way for me.
I am taking Digoxin for tachycardia--my cardiologist says that while there aren't good studies available for cardiac meds while pregnant Digoxin is believed to be safe. It is not a betablocker, however the dr felt the digoxin would be safer than a betablocker while preggo. Also the changes in your blood volume while pregnant may correct the tachycardia.
I have Bipolar I, and have been experiencing a great deal of relief from Lamictal/Lamotrigine for several years. However, my psychiatrist is starting to raise the dose, and I don't know why. I haven't been with this psychiatrist for very long. I was on the usual dose of 200mg/day; then, she raised it to 400mg/day. I'm not sure I felt much better from raising it, but it's possible, so I wasn't worried.
Now, though, she wants to raise it to 600mg/day.
I'm 76 and have had 2 cardio versions. My cardio just took me off digoxin and started me on propafenone which is really making me sick. Do you ever adjust to it? I'm taking 225 mg twice a day.
