I agree with everything pointed out above. It is way too early to in the healing process for anything to be "normal". You're going to need to give it a lot of time, perhaps up to a year for things to settle down. I get skips and little runs of SVT, and mine was down over 4 years ago. Keep in mind that the conductive circuit remains within your heart. Nothing was removed or taken out. Only a tiny scar tissue barrier was burned across it to prevent conduction.
However, in general calcium channel blockers and beta-blockers are preferred to digoxin. Digoxin has been around for a long time! I used Digoxin over 50 years ago for my PSVT, and my recollection was that it did little to prevent episodes. There are so many newer drugs now that are far more effective. My basic understanding of Digoxin is that it works on the heart's electrical system and decreases the heart rate, but increases each stroke volume.
Is amiodarone as safe a drug as digoxin or linoxin for A-fib as far as long term side affects are concerned?
I'm 76 and have had 2 cardio versions. My cardio just took me off digoxin and started me on propafenone which is really making me sick. Do you ever adjust to it? I'm taking 225 mg twice a day.
I have undergone an unsuccessful cardioversion and for the past 2 years I have been prescribed atenolol, flecainide and now digoxin to help control my af. None of these drugs seem to have an effect on my af.

I am taking Digoxin for tachycardia--my cardiologist says that while there aren't good studies available for cardiac meds while pregnant Digoxin is believed to be safe. It is not a betablocker, however the dr felt the digoxin would be safer than a betablocker while preggo. Also the changes in your blood volume while pregnant may correct the tachycardia.
I experienced AFib lately and when to hospital. Doctor put me on Digoxin, just wondering if anyone is on this drug and if it is working.

I just realized that I have been taking three 300mg tablets of WellbutrinXL and I haven't felt any of its effects. No jitteriness, and more importantly, no seizures. What does this say about how good WellbutrinXL is for me? I felt the same way taking 900 mg as I did taking 450 mg. I did call my doctor who told me to take 150 mg today and resume the 450mg (my regular dose) tomorrow. Any thoughts?

She had no chest pain, only palpitations and general weakness. She took 1 mg digoxin PO and eventually the episode resolved. Had two more similar episodes in the past year: tachy with normal BP brought on by exertion. EKG was normal the next day.
She's a dear family member who doesn't live in the states and her doctor didn't believe her when she described the episode.
2 week old premature infant has recurrent SVT/ Atrial Flutter and has been loaded on Digoxin and Amiodarone. The plan is to continue amiodarone for another 6 months; is this safe for him?
My daughter-in-law who is 23 weeks pregnant was told that the baby's heartbeat is 220. They are monitoring her with a high-risk specialist and a pediatric cardiologist. Over the last 3 weeks, the heartbeat has remained high, but stable. How dangerous is this? What are the odds of it damaging the baby's heart and/or the baby not making it? They have talked about Digoxin if the heartbeat goes up to 260. What would that mean for the mother's health?
I did not know that digoxin also effects pulse. I am taking it 5 days a week. Looks like I need to talk to my cardiologist if this can be stopped.
Could this be due to extreme weather conditions? We are experiencing very hot summer ahead of time in this part of world and temperatures go as high as 42 deg C?
