He converted while in the ER and was told to take it in addition to his beta blocker. They had given him a pretty large dose of it while in the ER and he took 3 doses of the pill...he started feeling pretty bad. His words: "Well, we'll put this in your arm now, just in case you need it". From that we BOTH took it to mean that there was a possibility that he wouldn't need it. Doctors don't like to talk about it either I find. You have my greatest sympathy for your situation, and, I'll pray for you.

I am wondering if you are uneasy about taking digoxin. If so, I would ask you cardio if you can get by with just the TOPROL XL. Digoxin, xanax, toprol xl, and lisinoprol seems like a lot of stuff to be taking. I am a runner and only take TOPROL XL 12.5mg. This knocks out my extra beats and really slows my heart down. A little seems to go a long way for me.

I am taking Digoxin for tachycardia--my cardiologist says that while there aren't good studies available for cardiac meds while pregnant Digoxin is believed to be safe. hey, dialysis is tough, Ive been a kidney patient for 6 years now, and am learning the ups and downs of the disease. Its tough, good luck. Creatinine increase could mean two things : 1. inadequate dialysis or 2. protein in diet... Generally, once kidney failure is detected and a need for dialysis is determined, they look at numbers other than creatininie like Kt/V and other lab values to make sure that he is safe and getting the proper dialysis.

Now Im on dialysis and waiting for a kidney transplant. I have been called 3 times but not a match yet. First in Oct, then Nov. And now last in March. I have been through all the testing and had been cleared to go forward with the transplat when a good match comes forward. This last test in March I was in the hospital for the potential kidney and the Drs came in saying that I was showing Hep C+. You cant even emagine what I felt. I told them they had to be wrong. and demanded a second test.
