I am wondering if you are uneasy about taking digoxin. If so, I would ask you cardio if you can get by with just the TOPROL XL. Digoxin, xanax, toprol xl, and lisinoprol seems like a lot of stuff to be taking. I am a runner and only take TOPROL XL 12.5mg. This knocks out my extra beats and really slows my heart down. A little seems to go a long way for me.

So I had a pretty crappy cold about a week and a half ago, now being on digoxin I can't take cold meds so I stick it out. Well the cold is now over and my teeth are hurting. It's not that you can't take aspirin at all. All ssris have a warning about interactions with all NSAIDS, not just aspirin. You just have to be aware of bruising that might indicate excessive bleeding. So you have to be careful. Don't know about food interactions, I wasn't told of any. Lots of weight gain possible, however, so watch the fat and sugar and be careful with diet. I think you're thinking more of the MAO inhibitors, they have lots of food contraditions.

I talked with my pharmacist and she said that there would be no problem. So I started taking it, but I should have found out the inert ingredients. The lame pharmaceutical company puts lactose monohydrate in Topomax (I cannot have any caisen/dairy products) and it aggravated my asthma and made me very congested. I get so mad that the pharm companies use ingredients that are in the list of top 10 food allergies.

be sure to take your thyroid meds by it self 1hr before food first thing in the am is best! I would wait at least 3 hrs before taking the others.

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT to keep doctor in the process as it could be disastrous with possible medical interactions or even food interactions such as grape fruit.

(Experience talking here). Before taking any new medication, it is so important to check interactions with other meds, food and alcohol (which can be found in cough syrups!) I'm allergic to Morphine and there were Morphine dirivitives in one pain medicine that got past the doctor AND the pharmacist, so you really need to trust your gut. If you're questioning it...that's your gut talking.

It seems that the addition of digoxin to her regimen is what has done the trick, as it has significantly lowered her amount of SVT pac's are still very frequent, but as long as her ef is improved I am a very happy camper....

Does anyone know or have experience with taking Digoxin or Metoprolol and did it cause you to have a choking feeling? I have been on both for about 5 weeks now and have had this choking sensation for about that long. I have been sent for an ultrasound of my neck and they found nothing. My Internest acted like it was in my head and told me to take Tylenol. Maybe she thought I was trying to get pain meds out of her. That just didn't make sense. I am not in pain.

I am taking Digoxin for tachycardia--my cardiologist says that while there aren't good studies available for cardiac meds while pregnant Digoxin is believed to be safe. It is not a betablocker, however the dr felt the digoxin would be safer than a betablocker while preggo. Also the changes in your blood volume while pregnant may correct the tachycardia.

I asked the person in chare of the hep c treatment and all i got was you should take Riba with food so grapfruit is ok. I don't think they had a clue.

Been taking digoxin since being diagnosed. I am pretty sure I have had svt all my life, I do recall having attacks when I was younger, but three years ago is when it go bad and more frequent. My cardio told me at first that he things surgery is a last resort for me. I am tired of dealing with the episodes. I feel lucky that their not that bad and that they are tolerable. I am just worried about having the ablation and coming out worse than what I am now.
