Avatar f tn If you are on triple therapy for genotype 1 and undetectable then your doc is following AASLD protocol for anemia management Anemia developed among recipients of both PIs. Hemoglobin decreases below 10 g/dL (grade 2 toxicity) occurred in 49% of patients who received a BOC regimen compared to 29% of those who received the SOC regimen, whereas 9% had a hemoglobin decline of <8.5 g/dL (grade 3 toxicity).
Avatar n tn I took Digoxin for a number of years in reponse to an atrial fibrillation event. My new physician did not feel I needed to be on it any longer. What are the side effects of discontinuing this medication? I have been off it for several months and some odd changes in my body.
Avatar n tn s explanation where he states digoxin is used to treat irregular heartbeats. I was on digoxin for a few months following my congested heart failue event. It is my understanding the medication is used to increase contractility of the pumping chambers. My medication for stablizing heart rate is a beta blocker (coreg) and an ACE inhibitor. My research: "Digoxin is contraindicated in patients with ventricular fibrillation.
Avatar m tn i just bought some L-Thyrosine and B6. I was wondering how to take it? i took 1 (500mg) pill of L-Thyrosine. and 1 (500mg) pill of B6 at the same time, after i ate breakfast. how much should i be taking? i took it about an hour and a half ago...i feel nothing. i don't want to feel wired or anything like that. i have 31 days clean. i feel great for the most part but still feel a lack of energy sometimes. hoping this helps. also how is L-Thyrosine.different from 5HTP?
Avatar f tn However, in general calcium channel blockers and beta-blockers are preferred to digoxin. Digoxin has been around for a long time! I used Digoxin over 50 years ago for my PSVT, and my recollection was that it did little to prevent episodes. There are so many newer drugs now that are far more effective. My basic understanding of Digoxin is that it works on the heart's electrical system and decreases the heart rate, but increases each stroke volume.
Avatar f tn Following 28 days of combination dosing with RO5024048, PEG-IFN, and RBV, patients will be dosed an additional 28 days (through Day 56 of the study) with just PEG-IFN, and RBV. After completing 56 days under this study, patients who participate in Part 3 will be optionally enrolled into a standard of care protocol with PEG-IFN and RBV, to be conducted by Roche. Patients who opt to enroll into the standard of care protocol will be given up to 40 weeks of PEG-IFN and RBV.
Avatar f tn i hev a question concerning digoxin....wat is its effect in the body. I mean its pharmacokinetic effects. i am having a hard time searching the net for it...
Avatar m tn You don't need to go to anyone for medical help, but try to read the instructions more carefully. Over a longer term such a misunderstanding could cause problems. Usually the 50,000 unit dose is "once a week" for non-compliant patients who don't remember to take their pills.
144210 tn?1273088782 If you are determined to go off the reservation, you should give thought to a single full dose every five days or double it one day a week. I'd lean toward the later. Now the obligatory: but check with your doctor.
223152 tn?1346978371 I wondered what the thoughts were on pre-dosing ribavirn in conjuntion with triple therapy. I will be doing the 4-week lead in for Victreslis soon (I hope) and wonder about predoing with ribavirin before the 4-week lead in. My doctor prescribes to the Victrelis labeling --- that is, 100 IU/mL at week 12 means end of treatment. That scares me and I want to do whatever I can to make sure I am clear at 12. I figure this is a last chance now that I am stage 3-4.
Avatar m tn once a day dosing rather than TID dosing. If anyone has additional advice regarding whether I should or should not participate in this trail, please advise.
162069 tn?1224677411 It seems that the addition of digoxin to her regimen is what has done the trick, as it has significantly lowered her amount of SVT pac's are still very frequent, but as long as her ef is improved I am a very happy camper....
Avatar n tn I am wondering if you are uneasy about taking digoxin. If so, I would ask you cardio if you can get by with just the TOPROL XL. Digoxin, xanax, toprol xl, and lisinoprol seems like a lot of stuff to be taking. I am a runner and only take TOPROL XL 12.5mg. This knocks out my extra beats and really slows my heart down. A little seems to go a long way for me.
Avatar f tn I am taking Digoxin for tachycardia--my cardiologist says that while there aren't good studies available for cardiac meds while pregnant Digoxin is believed to be safe. It is not a betablocker, however the dr felt the digoxin would be safer than a betablocker while preggo. Also the changes in your blood volume while pregnant may correct the tachycardia.
620048 tn?1358018235 I found this interesting piece on the GALA trial - it turns out if TEVA is approved for this different dosing, they would be given an extension to their drug patent protection in the US. You can read more at http://www.epvantage.com/Universal/View.aspx?
Avatar m tn The protocol for triple therapy (with Incivek) is 48 weeks if one is not UND. at week 4 &12 . for prior relaspers and all prior "partial responders" The doctor is following this protocol (below) Good luck . .
427265 tn?1444076436 This protocol would call for double dosing for 4 weeks with weekly bloodwork and a VL at the 4 week mark. The double dosing would only be extended to 12 weeks if not RVR at 4 weeks. I certainly have the option to go for a trial and will explore that option carefully. Also checking into the Alinia. It seems the deciding factor to be aggressive is because I have Grade 3 inflammation which could worsen my existing well- compensated cirrhosis and perhaps limit my options in the future.
29837 tn?1414534648 Just spoke to the rep at Vertex. Below IS the protocol that will be used for non-responders 3 ARM trials, anticipated to start in the 3rd quarter, most likely September. Susan asked if you fail Telepravir, will they let you try again? I was told that that is still to be decided at this point.
4356842 tn?1353312209 Been taking digoxin since being diagnosed. I am pretty sure I have had svt all my life, I do recall having attacks when I was younger, but three years ago is when it go bad and more frequent. My cardio told me at first that he things surgery is a last resort for me. I am tired of dealing with the episodes. I feel lucky that their not that bad and that they are tolerable. I am just worried about having the ablation and coming out worse than what I am now.
Avatar f tn I'm 76 and have had 2 cardio versions. My cardio just took me off digoxin and started me on propafenone which is really making me sick. Do you ever adjust to it? I'm taking 225 mg twice a day.
