digitek

Avatar n tn None of this explains what happened to me. They were asking about all of his medicine and he was on the digitek and had to take some of his medicine back up to the pharmacy with like 10 pills left. I am very lost in what happened with him and would just like some closure on why he detriated so quickly. If you can be of any assistance I would greatly appreciate it!! Thanks, sweetredt!!
Avatar f tn Lanoxin has not been recalled.... digitek was recalled..
Avatar f tn As Toprol also reduces blood pressure and I have low blood pressure as it is, I started having dizziness and nausea. He then put me on Digitek, which has since been recalled and I havebeen on 0.25 mg of digoxin for about 2 months. I recently started to have cramps, abnormal bowel movements and I feel very exhausted. The doctor reduced the dosage to .125 mg and on the first day I felt better until about 6PM and then the cramps started again.
Avatar n tn After my heart attack 6 years ago, I was on digitek for a few months only. The known side effects of digitek: "Apathy, blurred vision, breast development in males, change in heartbeat, confusion, diarrhea, dizziness, headache, loss of appetite, lower stomach pain, nausea, psychosis, rash, vomiting, weakness, yellow vision" I was concerned with the prescription when there was a recall. As it turned out it was the generic "digitek" for digoxin.
Avatar n tn I did have a chest infection about one-month before my last heart episode. Did you also hear about the Digitek recall and that problem? I stopped taking it the week my breathing problem stopped?
752530 tn?1233519188 I take morphine daily and was working as a paramedic on an ambulance. I know I cant do any meaningful work anymore. I applied for Social Security and was denied, I am at 6 months on my appeal. My lawyer feels sure I will get it eventually. I expect to be denied again and have to go before the Judge. I am getting pretty frustrated on this appeal taking so long. My late husband got his on his first go around and heard in 3 months.
706250 tn?1232453817 Are you asking about social security disability? From what I understand here and on my womenheart board, the process is extremely slow and excruciatingly precise. Don't look for anything to happen right away - the norm seems to be 3-4 years. If you have the resources you may want to consider hiring an attorney to help the paperwork process- that seems to speed it up a bit. If anyone out there knows differently, please speak up. I have not been through the SSDI process personally.
1118228 tn?1261013203 For more information on Social Security go to their official website at ssa.gov. For specific assistance with benefits issues you can speak to your local independent living center: http://www.ilru.org/html/publications/directory/index.
767538 tn?1276575320 I for one do not receive social security benefits but will probably be applying for them at some point in the next few years I would imagine. I'm looking for people's SSDI 'stories' if anyone feels comfortable sharing. This information will be very helpful to a lot of people and I thank anyone in advance for responding to this post.
Avatar f tn From what I am reading here it could very well be from the interferon treatment. The problem is getting Social Security to recognize this if the medical community will not. I must say though that even had I known that I would have long term side effects from treatment I would have done it anyway. Hep C would have killed me as it did my younger sister and the side effects I can live with.
Avatar n tn She is on various meds for this.,,coumadin, digitek, metoprolol.... She still has trouble breathing. Does not want to go on oxygen. Would moving to sea level help her? If we did a trial test, how long would it take to tell if it is helping?
Avatar f tn Prior to 1984, members of Congress were covered only by a separate Civil Service Retirement System that was criticized as being overly generous. They did not pay Social Security taxes and received no Social Security retirement credit for their time in office. However, legislation passed in 1983 required members to begin paying into Social Security, effective January 1984.
Avatar f tn I really wish social security cards were actual CARDS and not paper...
Avatar n tn Can he apply for disability benefits and get it or do you feel that maybe the social security people do not know of this terrible disease and we as a whole should go and let them know that this is a disability and show all documentation on this disease so they can help the ones who really need help for this disease. Please if anyone can answer this question I will gladly appreciate it.

Avatar f tn I was talking with another community member, and we were kind of discussing social security disability. We were wondering, once someone has a Dx of MS, is it fairly easy to qualify for disability benefits? Or what kind of requirements are there? Just wondering....
