446896 tn?1237802742 She has taken two infusions of TC (taxotere cytoxin) already, but has had both a severe allergic reaction to the Tax during both infusions, and then recently a delayed allergic reaction to it (which is extremely rare). After meeting with her onco today, he gave her two options: (1) Stop chemo altogether and move straight on to radiation and hormone therapy or (2) replace the TC with AC (Adriamycin cytoxin) for her remaining two infusions.
451191 tn?1264432890 So far I feel really nauseas and tired...other than that the whole thing was uneventful. I was told I only have to be isolated from adults for 2 days and from my daughter for 3. The Nuclear Safety person said that it's less time when you do Thyrogen since your body processes things fast when you're on your meds vs. being hypo. My scan only showed uptake in the Thyroid bed and my TSH is at a suppressed level and my Tg was "very low" according to my Endocrinologist.
Avatar m tn Hi. After reading ur post it almost seems like we are going crazy over the same thing. I too have been going crazy over this since last october. Been to 3 different doctors even had an ultrasound and everything came bak negative for me, but yet I still check so often. Any info would help so much. I read so much on the internet but everything is different. I need actual facts!
Avatar f tn Hi everyone, was wondering if anyone knows how one would do on triple therapy with Victrelis with a TC alleles. I just got my result and I am a TC. I plan on treating with Victrelis in January or February next year. I am a G1a, the last vl taken back in April was around 450,000.
1701959 tn?1488551541 Yet today we had a screening at work and they did a finger test. My TC came back 7 points higher! How is that possible? I do need to lose weight and am working on it, hopefully that will help bring it down as well. But I just don't understand it.
Avatar f tn TC is diagnosed with MRI however an MRI is suggested if TC is suspected due to symptoms.. Some people have a birth mark in the skin of the lumbar spine as far as I know.

1387052 tn?1279650966 Hi guys, I've started having severe pain in the left side of my lower back & in my left hip. So bad I can't stand up straight. I'm wondering if it could be related to chiari/tethered chord. I haven't been diagnosed with tc, just chiari. Thanks for the feedback. Praying everyone's well!
Avatar m tn His TC/HDL ratio is 4.06 compared to a goal of under 5.0 and his HDL/LDL ratio is .386 compared to a goal of greater than .30, both are considered as good. These being in line makes me think there is time to make some lifestyle changes before jumping on a statin. Ratios are the true indicators.
272338 tn?1252280404 Hi all, sorry I have not updated for a few days but there has really been no change. TC is still in ICU on full oxygen. she is getting better, just very slowly. Seamus has called me every evening to let me know and I have told him we are all thinking of her. Just as soon as she is out of ICU, I will let you know.
Avatar n tn We need more information regarding your hair loss; when did you finish Chemo? Most times you will get complete regrowth but not immediately and on rare occasions the regrowth will not be complete and often the hair will be different than before Chemo. Regards ....
272338 tn?1252280404 That makes me feel really good today. We all need some good news now. WTG TC, we knew you would be fine, Now all you have to do is get strong and "back to normal".
272338 tn?1252280404 I recieved a call from Seamus yesterday evening and they were taking TC out of ICU. She is doing better but still very sore. Hopefully the next call that I recieve will be from here. I sent her love and good wishes from everyone and told her we were all thinking about her with hopes that she have a good recovery. So I hope that the next step will be going home. I will let you all know.
Avatar m tn Hi and welcome to the Chiari forum. I do have TC and it shows on my MRI and it was considered that I have the release...BUT the Drs decided I would benefit more from the decompression surgery and as I understand it, the PFD is easier to recover from then the release....I had my PFD in '09 and have yet to go in for the release as the decompression helped with most of my symptoms. If you have TC occulta...hidden TC.....
1435895 tn?1304291241 that cyst is usually not visible.....and many times TC can not be seen on a MRI and is considered to be occulta TC...meaning Hidden TC..... Do ask about EDS too.
539750 tn?1226521677 UPDATE. I saw my NS Dr. Won today. He said it's possible I could have TC because it hurts to *try* to touch my toes. He said it's possible that it won't show on an MRI and has even done surgery for TC on people who didn't show TC on their MRI. He said he is more concerned with my DDD (herniated discs) in my lumbar spine. He said if he was going to do any surgery that would be the first one. He asked me how my sypmtoms where and I told him I was better, but not 100% symptom free.
Avatar f tn I also go to TCI and was told I have TC. I was scheduled for the surgery, but then they reviewed my chart and did the PFD instead. The incesion is on the lower back at the lumbar spine and they release the cord from the column..... I know bowel and bladder issues are common as well as leg and lower back pain. With the legs u can feel weak like they can no longer hold u up. Dr I at TCI told me if the TC was really bad, I would know in the early stages after the PFD....
272338 tn?1252280404 Seamus called me this afternoon to tell me that TC could not call as they had put her in ICU. She was having problems breathing and they decided to send her there as a precaution. Hopefully it will only be a day or two. She did have the intestional bypass, but did not have to have the colostomy, and they are fairly sure that she will be able to eat again. I hope that she will be able to start eating soon as I would live nothing better than to get up there and cook a few meals for her.
