Hello I would like to ask a question about my period. Today its the 9th day that my period delayed. I took a pregnancy test 7 days ago but it was negative. Do I need to take another one? I am 23 years old, nearly 24 and my period never delayed!! It was always on time.. I had unprotected sex with my husband but he never finished inside. Also I took the after day pill twice in 2 or 3 months I can't really remember but not during the same month. Does this have to have anything with it?

Don't worry about autism at the moment, but focus on things to help your son learn to communicate. Not just talk, but communicate. Also, if you have health insurance, see if they will cover a visit to a developmental pediatrician. They diagnose lots of things besides autism, and may be able to tell you if it's just language delay, autism, apraxia, etc.
i will be very happy if im pregnant but if not really little worried of what might be the reason of my long period delayed....
My cousin has a little boy that was diagnosed with speech delay when he was 2. They were concerned when he was 1, but the doctor told them to wait at least till he was 2 and could develop more. Once he reached 2, and still was not talking then they enrolled him in speech therapy and now he talks your ear off. He is 4 now. Some children are slower than others. I would talk to your doctor or get a second opinion. At 1 years old, they should NOT go on any meds for ADHD.
Hi, thanks for your reply.. Actually, I really wanted my son to start therapy right after his evaluation. But my husband doesn't want it, we actually had an argument about it, he said I am not trusting our son & I am over reacting.. That made it more difficult for me because I do trust my son, but at the same time I want to do the best for him to help him with his speech delay.
his growth charts and other developments have been normal,the only slight delay being in onset of teething(around 11 mth).However,he was not responding to his name or saying mama or papa by age of 2 and half.We consulted his paediatrician and he advised to wait for 6 mths and watch for autism /ADHD.
C/C-even though he uses some words like names and points to some 20-30 vegetables and fruits ,objects like umbrella,watch,clock,tv,mobiles etc.

Thank you for your advice, but the problem has only arisen since we used the delay spray, before we used delay spray orgasm for him was not a problem. we always have long foreplay, just cant understand how for over a year all was fine untill we used the spray, now he just can't orgasm with intercourse.

i have 8 yrs son with severe speech delay ,his behaviour has become normal over period of time .studies in a normal school; plays with his pals, does his home work ,properly toilet trained,well behaved.problem occurs when v dont understand his distorted speech.how can v handle it& make his speech better indeed his understanding also.
I think the speech therapy is a great idea. My son who is now 6 had a speech delay as well. He talks pretty well now, still misprounounces some things, but I've seen GREAT progress in teh speech dept.
Sometimes kids do not listen. Sometims my son is like that.
Yes, changing caregivers is reallly hard on a kid, we just had to do that as well and it's tough. Ours wasn't planned, but we had to do it.
I had high risk exposure in December, could seroconversion delay antibodies for up to 6 months?
