ve been treating a penile yeast infection for almost a week now, i took pills for a few days, diflucan i think? And now Ive been applying lamisil twice a day. Both prescribed by my doctor, he never said anything about maturbating so i didnt think it wasnt allowed. This has been the first time in about 2 weeks or 3 that ive ejaculated and afterwards i had a burning feeling for about 5-10 minutes. Is this because of the infection? Could I have screwed up the treatment by doing this?

My problem presented about seven or eight years ago when I noticed irregular patterns developing on the glans of my penis. I went to my doctor and he prescribed lamisil cream. It seemed to take care of the problem, but every eight or nine days the problem would reoccurr, usually with a burning sensation. I was also treated with Diflucan. There were no raised areas or drainage of any kind.
About a year later, I had a circumscision to try to stop the problem.
These include topical antifungals like econazole (Spectazole) or oxiconazole (Oxistat) and oral antifungals like Itraconazole (Sporanox),Fluconazole (Diflucan) or Terbinafine (Lamisil)
Triamcolone acetonide is a more potent type of triamcinolone, being about 8 times as effective as prednisone.It should not be used to treat fungal infections without consulting a dermatologist.

I went to another doctor who prescribed one dose of diflucan and Lamisil. Diflucan 150 mg seem to take all the irritation out, but left the skin very chapped and scaley. After a couple of days, the redness came back and now I have this reddish irritation also under the tip of the penis. So another doctor prescribed diflucan 100 mg for 7 days + Lotrisone, which is apparently a combination of two medicines. I'm on day 4, and the symptoms don't seem to be improving.
So it might be worth it to get it identified. Terbinifine (Lamisil) seems to work better than Diflucan if you can get it for your purpose. You may need a prescription for it. So I don't know if you want to go through having to go to the office to get the culture done and it may be C. albicans anyway. But maybe your doctor can tell you if they have Terbinifine (Laimisil) cream for thrush that he can have sent to the pharmacy.

Have you taken a lot of anti-fungal medication and if so what types? Also have you taken antibiotics before you got C-diff?
I assume since you are taking probiotics because you know that getting your intestinal bacteria out of whack can promote getting C. diff.
I have had this same problem for years also and recently figured something that makes it heal and something that is causes it to come back. Diflucan will heal the split. I take three 200mg pills one a day for 3 days. Depending on how large the split is, or how long you've had it, you may need more but, you'll see it helping by the third day for sure! ( you'll have to ask your doc for the script) Don't put neopsorin on it! Put a little Lotrimin or Lamisil dabbed on a q-tip.
Can it be some thing else?. Again I have developed symptoms though I am taking Diflucan. Is relapse possible even while taking antifungal. My concerns :
1. The infection is in groin and around penis. During the day I put my shirt inside trousers but sometimes it comes out, bringing out a lot of spores. When my shirt is in, a lot of fungus spores are getting attached. Is it possible that these spores can infect others at my workplace/home ?.
I've taken 2 Diflucan tablets one one friday and one on Saturday. Monday i started bleeding my period is not due for another week.
I don't recommend the ER actually - they are the best place to go for broken bones and heart attacks but anything in the genital area they aren't the best place to go for advice. I'd wait at this point and follow up tuesday with your provider. It's the better option.
This really sounds more like ringworm than herpes. I don't think monistat or diflucan are good treatments for that.

OTC hydrocortizone cream/ointment, OTC antibiotic cream, oral antibiotics (Ciprofloxacin), anti-fungal cream (Lamisil, Clotrimazole), oral anti-fungal (Diflucan). I went to another dermatologist, and he told me there's nothing he could do, and to apply hydrocortizone until judgment day; he also recommended circumcision. I just tried Tacrolimus after researching extensively online, and that's failed me too. I'm extremely depressed.
I was wondering if anyone out there really has had a bad health experience with the combination of having Hep B for many years, although my Hep B has been dormant for the past 14 years and has not started to do anything to my liver as of today, and taking presciption strength Lamisil for toe nail fungus. My Dr. put me on the Lamisil for 12 weeks and says that after 6 weeks we will check my blood and liver to see if there is any change in my Hep B.
I went to the doctor and was told I had nail fungus and needed Lamisil. One tablet, once a day for 3 months. They took and ran tests of my blood to test my liver and they said all tests came back normal. They went ahead and said to begin taking the medication. I'm 21 and relatively healthy. I'm afraid to take Lamisil though. I've heard the side effects are horrible. Should I be worried?
I have suffered for more than 10 years with this and it is slowly killing me. The only treatment that I have been able to get is Diflucan and Lamisil for a month. Needless to say I have grown immune to these and they won't cure it, just knock down the symptoms enough to provide short term relief. I have not been able to get anyone to listen to my family's battle with this fungus.
It spread to the finger next to it. Doctor put me on lamisil tablets 250 mg. I have been on the medication for 11 days and it does not appear to be helping. The fungus has spread to other parts of my hand and even to the other hand. I called the doctor's office and nurse told me to give it 2 weeks. I can understand taking 2 weeks before seeing positive results but should the fungus be spreading during the first 11 days while on the medication?
This time I was sent home with 30 days of oral lamisil and was told to apply lotrimun Clotrimazole 1% OTC cream twice a day. This really helped and I have been pretty clear for about 1 week now.
To throw another twist in this story I was having some pain in my groin area (behind scrotum) so I went to see a urologist. They did a culture and found that I had strep bacteria (or something like that) and told me I had prostatitis as well. Now I am on 250mg levequin for that.

About 6wks ago I had sex with someone I barely know. She performed oral (no condom), then intercourse with condom. About a week later I noticed a red itchy patch on my scrotum. I also have pimple like bumps, which have always been there, but now some are itchy on penis and scrotum. I am also itchy on undercarriage and inner thigh. I used Canesten for jock itch for 2 wks with no luck. I'm now on Lamisil but starting to worry.
I have no fever and as far as i can tell no swelling. The bumps are not itchy. I am currently applying Lamisil Spray( terbinfine) hoping it is a yeast infection. Any ideas?
have the corners removed if the ingrown is still problematic
2) apply mentax cream twice daily to the yeast
3) file the nail aggressively to remove most of the fungal nail. then, apply Lamisil cream on the nails twice daily. always file the nail prior to application to allow the medication to penetrate. once the nails look improved, switch over to tea tree oil.
