Diflucan natural alternative

Common Questions and Answers about Diflucan natural alternative

diflucan

Avatar f tn (Some find relief within days or weeks). As far as a natural way to treat, this is probably as good as others on th e market. The other alternative would be a prescription medication. There are a few Members who are treating yeast as well and hopefully they will respond. I have heard good things about the probiotics. Good luck and take care.
Avatar m tn I've had this for two months now. Burning in the tip started 4 weeks after receiving oral, swelling started 2 weeks after that. I'm thinking it's either chlamydia or yeast. Both can be harder to detect and treat than doctors think. I was on cipro for two weeks, seemed to help a little. Now I'm on diflucan it's been 2 weeks and I think there is some improvement, although urethra is sensitive to ejaculating.
Avatar n tn Is there any form of alternative/natural treatment for herpes other than prescription drugs? How effective is this type of treatment?I ask this because prescription drugs for herpes are so expensive and also the possible side effects from the drugs. Thanks in advance.

Avatar f tn I would like some advice on getting some type of OTC drug or natural supplement that may replace antibiotics. I have had a sinus and gum infection along w/headaches and tooth pain for 4 mos. I live in VA., and they don't sell antibiotics OTC like some sates do. In addition, I have BV and I hope that the antibiotic would help that too. Also, I'm uninsured and cannot see a physician, therefore, I cannot obtain a prescription.
Avatar f tn was found during my annual) and my dr (who is new and i do not normally see) prescribed me diflucan for 12 weeks, one pill, once a week. I have never heard of this or treated a yeast infection with diflucan like this before and am starting to think this doctor I saw was a quack/slave to drug company kind of doctor. Has anyone ever been prescribed diflucan this way?
Avatar n tn I prefer to not get on the chemical merry-go-round if at all possible, which require more medications and so forth and go the naturopathic route as that has no side effects, so is there a natural regimen I can take for the problem?
Avatar m tn I just went to the Doctor yesterday and confirmed via swab that I still have yeast. I still have rawness in 1 spot/ some anal itching. I've used 14 days clotrimazole, 4 doses diflucan, and now 7 days terazol. The doctor told me to do 1 more dose terazol and diflucan once a week. I don't think this will solve anything. I'm sure as soon as i stop the terazol it will come right back. BTW, I use student health services and although she is an MD, she is not a gyno. Any advice?
Avatar n tn I have been on birth control for over a year, and my doctor put me on diflucan and a pH balancer and nothing seems to be clearing up. What do you think it is?

Avatar m tn ve had chronic yeast infections (4-6 a year) for about 3 years now. 2 years ago my doctor prescribed Diflucan and it worked well for a while (cleared up the infection right away). About 8 months ago the Diflucan stopped being as effective, and I would have to take one 150mg pill then followed by another 150mg pill 3 days later. For the past 6 months I've had a yeast infection that has not really gone away. I have relief for a couple days to a week max and then the symptoms returned.
Avatar f tn That should always be your first resort, since medication will not cure you, it will only treat symptoms. As for natural remedies, they are complicated and not so easy to describe how to use them, so the best bet is to see a naturopath if you want to try that road. A book to read is Natural Highs by Hyla Cass, a psychiatrist at UCLA. We also don't know how old you are, and both certain medications and some natural remedies are inappropriate for people under a certain age.
Avatar n tn I get alot of yeast infections. Is this normal with hepc and is it o.k. to take diflucan?
Avatar n tn Thank you. I'm almost 20 weeks now, dr said after 12 weeks it's ok. I prefer tonuse natural products during pregnancy but I'm at the end of my rope here!!
Avatar m tn Has anyone used natural therapies for allergies with success? I found this: http://***.*****.com/allergies/all-modality/allergies/miscellaneous/which-alternative-therapies-are-used-in-the-treatment-of-allergies-and-how-effective-are-they.html which seems like a great resource. I've tried QBC (quercitin, bromelein, Vitamin C) mixes and had some luck with those, but only if I remember to take them all the time.
Avatar f tn You can use natural antifungals or get a prescription from your doctor, such as Diflucan. Natural antifungals are garlic and oregano oil. Consume the garlic clove raw. Use only a few drops of the oil. There are others as well but these two are potent antifungals. Do not use the oil in a Styrofoam cup, it will dissolve it.

1245078 tn?1268578722 s supposed to restore your natural healthy vaginal flora. On the theory that a disruption in the healthy vaginal flora results in over-growth of bad microorganisms, this product is supposed to bring it back in balance. I haven't tried it, but I've seen enough women rave about it that it might be worth a try. Good luck.
Avatar m tn but who really knows if the natural cures can slow the progression until we die of natural causes...i guess most people dont want to take a chance....like me...id rather kill the beast now with big pharma..but one thing is for sure....
