So a few days ago I noticed that my vagina was sore and that there was some white (non-smelly) on my underwear. A day later I started to itch all over down there. So I took a Diflucan pill and waited. Well the next day I still had the same symptoms. But now, the left side of my clitoris is super sore and sensitive! I didn't even scratch that area..So i took a mirror and looked at my vagina. It seems like the yeast is only coming out of my urethra..I don't see any at all in my vagina.

prescribed Regurin 20mg to help with urination frequency, but im still left with all of the above symptoms for 6 months before i can see a gyny/urologist
My query is does this sound like i might have a prolapse? an infection or does it seem to be a urology issue such as IC or other bladder problem, i would appreciate any comments from any 1 who has had this or mybe a doctor might have some idea its driving me nutts.
Hi ladies, so I've had a yeast infection for about 3 months now and after repeatedly telling my doctor, today she did the group b strep and said it looks like I have a yeast infection(really?!) I haven't been itchy the whole 3 months but in February I got the canesten cream (after going to l&d for thinking i had an infection, she told me to get some) and use it on days when I am itchy.
So, I have this raging yeast infection.
Tenderness to touch when bladder is full, and frequent urination. Dr. said I have yeast infection and prescribed Diflucan, and clotrimazole. The cream is making the burning worse. I've also tried monistat which also made burning worse. I also experience lower back pain, GERD and rectal burning and pain with bowel movements. I have nocturia, and painful intercourse. I had hysterectomy a year ago and pathology report came back as chronic inflammation.
Btwn school and work I have no time for a docs appt!! Do you think my dr would prescribe me diflucan over the phone w/o seeing? Also what r some over the counter medications that will clear it up if she won't prescribe me something w/o seeing me?
I took her in and had her checked for a bladder infection and she didn't have one. The Dr. treated her with Diflucan just in case she had a yeast infection. She took the entire perscription and still has the same problem, if not worse. Do you have any other suggestions????
Everytime we have sex I get irritable and land up with an yeast infection. I have this unbareable itch. It has ruined my sex life. So I've had a yeast infection since I found out I was pregnant. My doctor finally gave me a prescription to get diflucan. But my insurance want pay for it because they he said it is a risk for the baby. Has this happened to anyone else? Or have you taken diflucan and everything turned out fine? He diagnosed it as a yeast infection, which I contracted from a partner that had one but was unaware of it at the time. I was on Augmentin (antibiotic) for a foot infection about a month ago and then soon started developing stomach cramps. I figured the cramps were related to what was wrong with my penis. The doctor said the antibiotics killed off the good AND bad bacteria in my stomach leaving me vulnerable to contracting this yeast infection, even on my penis head.
Initial diagnosis was a yeast infection as well as a bladder infection. She prescribed me diflucan, an antibiotic, and nystatin and triamcinolone acetonide cream. I wasn't able to immediately pick up the medications, and didn't begin treatment for another 10 hours or so. The next day I was still in moderate pain with extremely painful urination. I continued with the antibiotic and triamcinolone cream. Initially the cream gave me temporary relief.
all the tests are negative. around this time, i also begin to notice pressure right around where my bladder is that causes alot of discomfort as well as some pain in my scrotum. my doctor prescribes me with cipro for 3 weeks and clotrimazole cream for a week.the clotrimazole made the red dots disappear. i take the cipro for 2 weeks and stop because i thought that if this was some sort of yeast infection, the antibiotics would make it worse. the cream doesnt do anything.
m currently treating a vaginal yeast infection and was wondering what your experiences were with Diflucan? How long does a typical yeast infection last? The itching and burning have subsided, and I took my first diflucan pill Sunday (doc gave me 4). I'm also using Vagisil for itching and irritated skin! Thanks!
Is it normal to get yeast infection and safe to use vagsil? , ugh so upset this is happening, i kno its due tight underwear!!!
I also read there are strands of Candida that are resistant to diflucan, so is it possible that I may have a yeast infection. Could the culture miss the fungus and could the diflucan be resisted?
3. What else could it be? Maybe a parasite? Could it be fungus? Still a bacteria? Could the std tests given a false negative?
Please! Please! Please! Give me some clue as to what this is!

since then i have been to my gyno who cultured my yeast infection and said best medication for it was diflucan, so he also prescribed me to diflucan for 7 days-never went away. then he again prescribed me diflucan 150 once for 3 weeks. never went away!!!
this is my first yeast infection so i dont know why diflucan will not cure me. i am 22 years old, smoke and drink on the weekends, work out regularly, work nights, recently pretty stressed.
Last week on Thursday I was diagnosed with a bacteria in the urine so I got 3 day course of Bactrim then the official results came back Monday stating I had a bacterial infection and uti in the bladder? Did not even know that there can be bacterial infections that thought was just a uti or at least thats what I understood the nurse said that it was both. So now I am on macrobid for a week.
I had unprotected sex in November while taking clomid (I was coming off a steroid cycle), a week or so later I had what some bladder/urethral discomfort so I panicked and took tetracycline for a week, but this made it feel worse so I got an std screen done (results were negative) and was treated for chlamydia and gonnorhea since then the urethral itch/burning has continued (no lumps, bumps, or blisters to report) and seems to get worse if I eat sugary foods or drink alcohol, thoughts?
I have been on birth control for over a year, and my doctor put me on diflucan and a pH balancer and nothing seems to be clearing up. What do you think it is?
I dont know if anyone can help me or give me some suggestions, but back in December I had a yeast infection and the doctor prescribed me terconazole vaginal cream...before she had always given me the diflucan pill and it went away right away. however, this time she gave me the cream and i used it for the 7days like she said and didnt have sex w my bf at all. after the 7th day of using the terconazole cream my bf and i had sex w a condom.
I went back to the doctor, he gave me diflucan, She also got diflucan. After three days on the diflucan, her symptoms were gone and mine were 90% gone. I then began to apply a diluted vinegar solution. The symptoms were gone for a few days, including the redness, but then they came back. Not as bad as before, but still there.
At that point he screened for claymidia and gonnorea, and gave me the zpac. I continued diflucan and vinegar, with the sympmtoms almost, but not quite, vanishing again.
