I went to doctors they gave me Diflucan for two weeks I'm on day 4 and still have symptoms only thing it helping is my tongue getting pinker but my vagina still has lots of discharge and have a lump on inner lips down there from yeast doc says but the bump from vagina different looking from bumps on rectum. Was wondering if.

I believe there may be a connection with yeast overgrowth and FM. I plan to test out the nystatin and diflucan and see if I feel better after killing the yeast. I am nervous about the die off effects. The whole yeast diet it basically avoiding all sugars,candies, and white bread/flours, and caffeine, and lots of other things should be avoided. I guess it just depends on what you can do. I can tell I'm going to have a hard time with the diet!

No pain with these symptoms, but all things that go into having some sort of yeast overgrowth. The type of discharge you are describing can be physiologic (normal) OR could be a sign of an overgrowth of yeast. If it is yeast--it is easy to treat with Diflucan. Ask your doctor to check it out for you. Good luck!

My doctor informed me after having an upper endoscopy done following upper abdominal pain that everything looked great, however, I did have to spots that were either yeast or food. I was so relieved that is was not cancer, etc., that I did not question him further on this. Now I am wondering, if they turn out to have been yeast, do two spots indicate an 'overgrowth" or is that normal to have a certain amount of yeast.
