diflucan and yeast infection

Everytime we have sex I get irritable and land up with an yeast infection. I have this unbareable itch. It has ruined my sex life. I really will like to get to the bottom of this issue in my life so I can have a sex life with my husband. Please help me. So far all the gyn doctors I've went to are not helping me.

I went to my doctor and she prescribed diflucan and also clomitozole?? (Sp)...I am so itchy and sore I want to cry. Should I try monistat 7. Or wait out the diflucan?. What works for you?

I actually took yeast pills, azo makes them and that worked best for me.

She also perscribed Diflucan since the antibiotic was strong and i tend to develop yeast infections. She told me to take the Diflucan after the 10 day antibiotic was thru. Day 2 on the antibiotic i engaged in oral sex with my boyfriend. By Day 4 i had a full blown yeast infection most likely from the combination of the oral sex and antibiotic. I took the Diflucan. Day 5 i got my period. What do i do now?? And can i re-fill my Diflucan to take when i am thru with the antibiotic??

So I've had a yeast infection since I found out I was pregnant. My doctor finally gave me a prescription to get diflucan. But my insurance want pay for it because they he said it is a risk for the baby. Has this happened to anyone else? Or have you taken diflucan and everything turned out fine? Not to mention she only prescribe me 2 pills one every 24 hours and that's it.

thats what diflucan is for too.If you see a discahrge that is rather thick and clumpy and white that is yeast, yeast typically itches like heck but not burning,,tell them you want a vaginal culture to determine the exact pathogen causing your discomfort and perhaps a repeat of the std scans.

there are over the counter creams but the best way I know of it to call your doc and tell them and they can get you diflucan....one pill and you are done!

I visited the doctor about 3 days ago for some unusual redness and 2 small white blister looking spots on my penis head. He diagnosed it as a yeast infection, which I contracted from a partner that had one but was unaware of it at the time. I was on Augmentin (antibiotic) for a foot infection about a month ago and then soon started developing stomach cramps. I figured the cramps were related to what was wrong with my penis.

It sounds as though it could possibly be herpes? You could google herpes and see what they look like and compare to what you have. Have you been to an obgyn? I would definitely suggest that. If it was a yeast infection the diflucan and creams should have worked. I"ve never heard of open sores with a yeast infection. I hope you start to feel better soon. I know it must be very painful. since then i have been to my gyno who cultured my yeast infection and said best medication for it was diflucan, so he also prescribed me to diflucan for 7 days-never went away. then he again prescribed me diflucan 150 once for 3 weeks. never went away!!! this is my first yeast infection so i dont know why diflucan will not cure me. i am 22 years old, smoke and drink on the weekends, work out regularly, work nights, recently pretty stressed.

I went to dr she said had yeast infection tested it on microscope and got treated with diflucan it went away and had sex and three days later i got another one. Could it be something else..

there are stronger medications your doctor can give you for a yeast infection like diflucan. it's just one pill. ask for that instead of buying over the counter stuff.

I dont know if anyone can help me or give me some suggestions, but back in December I had a yeast infection and the doctor prescribed me terconazole vaginal cream...before she had always given me the diflucan pill and it went away right away. however, this time she gave me the cream and i used it for the 7days like she said and didnt have sex w my bf at all. after the 7th day of using the terconazole cream my bf and i had sex w a condom.

For OTC meds do Monistat 7 ( the 7 day cream ) and do it right before bed at night ... If you go to your doc they will proscribe you one pill that stays in your system for 7 days but does nothing for the itching at all..

Three weeks ago I had an oral surgery and the doctor prescribed me penicillin for 10 days. On the second day I started to itch and I knew I had a yeast infection.
