I think that there are alot of options open to you besides birth contol pills or taking oral meds....like Brooke said almost all pills have such a risk of clots manifesting themselves especially if you have a family history of blood clots the % goes up for incidence. You may want to look at all other options out there for you besides taking "the pill" and i know there are many of them out there.

I've been taken the Drospirenone for about two years, and before I had the HIV test, I also had taken some skin disease medicine, will these medicine influence the test?

Hello, I have been on treatment for PCOS for a year and a half now with Drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol birth control pills. My OB/GYN asked for a blood test in order to see how my hormones are doing. While I am content that my testosterone levels are within normal range (it was very high at the moment of diagnosis and I was suffering from many uncomfortable effects) my prolactin levels are 38.25. I understand that this is high but, is it very high? should I be concerned?

I used to take tri-lo-sprintec tablet generic for (ortho tri-cyclen LO) for the past 6 six years, but in Michigan we do not have it in generic form anymore. This is a topic that comes up alot on this forum....and sometimes I find it hard to see the difference in "addiction" and dependence. I, myself, am an addict and I let my disease of addiction run my life for many years. I am now a bit over 19 months clean, and am very grateful for what I am and where I am. From what I've read they seem pretty similar, is that correct?? I was told to take a baby aspirin a day and to come back every two to three year for echos. BTW, I also have a bicuspid aortic valve that was found at the same time as the PFO and ASA.
