Common Questions and Answers about Difference between nasonex and veramyst

nasonex

Avatar f tn My daughter takes singulair every night and still has asthma and allergies flare ups. Veramyst nasal spray works best for me and nasonex is ok. I don't know which antihistamine medicine works best, I've tried them all too and they all have a side effect,.
Avatar m tn s what competition is supposed to do. But noooooo... I went to CVS today and the price was $218 for Nasonex. That is a total ripoff... Why did the price go up? So what's the difference between Merck, the manufacturer, and a robber with a gun on the street? Answer: The gun. Merck robs you without using a gun. Very clever, taking advantage of peoples' medical conditions.
Avatar n tn My allergist says my underlying problem all along has been allergic rhinitis, and she has put me on Nasonex and Astelin, besides given me instructions on 'dust-proofing' my bedroom. I'm an otherwise healthy 30 y/o male with no previous history of allergies or any serious/chronic illness. I recently also had a blood test, which was normal except for slightly elevated Lymphocytes. My question: Can allergic rhinitis present without coughing, runny/congested nose and itchy eyes?
Avatar n tn s back to being as is was prior to the treatment. I have tried Veramyst and Ipratropium Bromide nasal sprays along with nasal flushing, all they do is bring on an attack. The sprays trigger it almost immediately and the irritation continues for up to an hour or more. It doesn't matter where I am, so I know it's not environmental. I sneeze on the average of 30-40 times through out the day with congestion. This started about 1-1/2 months after I quit smoking a little over 3 years ago.
Avatar m tn I have been researching what might be causing my fatigue based on the supplements I take and medications, which is currently only Veramyst. I just saw a few post online saying fatigue was one of the side effects of Veramyst. If this is the case I am going to call my doctor and tell him I plan on stopping it. I would love to know if the last 4 months of having low energy has anything to do with the Veramyst. Does anyone have any experience with this or know anything about it?
Avatar n tn I recently heard about this allergy nasal spray called Veramyst and called my physician for a perscription. They told me they could not perscribe because of my melanoma diagnosis. Because this medication is a steroid they do not perscribe to patients with melanoma and I would need permission from my oncologist. I don't understand how this nasal spray could have any effect on my melanoma diagnosis.
Avatar n tn 1) She prescribed switching off between Nasonex and Astepro--taking a dose of each on alternating days. Is this common? So far, neither the Nasonex or the Astepro has had any effect on my congestion. At times, my congestion I'm completely "plugged up" altogether. I called to ask the doc if it was OK to use the Afrin as sort of an "emergency" solution so that I could at least get some sleep.
Avatar m tn My sinus problem is that one nostril is blocked most of the time, alternating between nostrils, occasionally unblocked and completely blocked. Had septoplasty turbinate reduction, done nothing at all. Doctors never prescribe anything other than nasonex, which was only effective the first time I used it, then its as if the sinus adapted to it. I use sinus rinse, that sometimes provides temporarily relief. It is really unbearable, it is there all the time, constant discomfort, hard to sleep.

Avatar n tn i need the cure to this constant problem i have with smelling cigarette smoke in my nose. I'm a non smoker and smell it in the middle of the night and throughout the day. The Doctor put me on Singlair as well as Veramyst neither one worked.
Avatar n tn I've had such a tough time with sinus headaches, allergies (watery eyes, plugged ears and tinnitus) and fatigue that I finally went to an ear-nost-throat doctor last week. He put me on Nasonex, a steroid nasal spray, to reduce the inflammation. I also hear my heartbeat in my ear at times, and he's hoping that a month on Nasonex will stop that. If not, he'll do a CT scan and other work to see what's going on.
Avatar f tn Importantly, differences between subtype 1a and 1b (by far the most frequently encountered genotype 1 subtypes in clinical practice) include different efficacies of antiviral drugs and different resistance profiles to such drugs. Indeed, several HCV inhibitors appear to have selective activity against different HCV genotype 1 subtypes, both in vitro and in vivo....

Avatar n tn One medication may have been developed first and others later that are somewhat similar chemically and in the same chemical family but they may be completely different medications. I take Methocarb and that is prescribed for me to control dystonic spasms. It is an anti spasmodic. Meprobamate is an anti anxiety medication. Any of these medications can be prescribed for other purposes as determined by a doctor or psychiatrist or other treating professional.
Avatar f tn I tried similac and it didnt sit well with them. I know a lot of moms who used similac and were good with it.

1025806 tn?1333572690 But, these symptoms, when accompanied by a migraine, really have nothing to do with sinus pain at all, but are completely due to our migraines. A good way to tell the difference between sinus pain and migraine pain is the severity of the pain, most true sinus pain is usually very mild except in some rare cases.
Avatar n tn t whether I should Just keep doing the Nasonex and nothing else and wait n see? or if I should take some Sudafed and see what that does. Im not usually a person that takes medicines a lot I usually just like to work out and exercise a lot and let my body take care of it. But I never had tinnitus for 2 months before haha...but I'm just wondering what would be the better alternative do you think?
