I was paying $135 or so for Nasonex, which I thought was ridiculously expensive at the time. When Flonase became an OTC product, I thought Nasonex would become cheaper. That's what competition is supposed to do. But noooooo... I went to CVS today and the price was $218 for Nasonex. That is a total ripoff... Why did the price go up? So what's the difference between Merck, the manufacturer, and a robber with a gun on the street? Answer: The gun. Merck robs you without using a gun.
Twice in the last six months using Flonase my mouth filled with blood from sinuses. Is another medication for sinusitis available?
After internet research finally tried using Nasonex and that seems to be the only thing that helps, usually it helps, and usually it helps the most if I use it soon enough with the start of symptoms.
New development in last 3 weeks. After several airplane trips and ears not clearing after the 3rd trip, and a lot of fullness in the ear, (symptoms not as usual...not nearly as painful, but full and uncomfortable.
I was prescribed a heavy cocktail of prednisone, doxycycline, and Flonase and it sent my brain into a tizzy! I know exactly what you are describing. I've been to numerous doctors who all chalk it up as anxiety because all of my tests are OK. It is so frustrating! I think it is steroid-induced sensory psychosis. I hope it goes away!
I'm a fellow allergy sufferer. Have you had any allergy tests done? Perhaps it is something in the air of your home that no one can totally escape from--dustmites. That is my top allergy. Everything that the doctor already suggested does help, but I still have to use allergy medicine. I use Benadryl and Nasonex. Nasonex, because it is fragrance-free.
I've been taking zyrtec in the mornings and I used nasonex right afterwards but it didn't really work... next morning ---- it's a bit better still hurts a bit...
I have also been having vertigo issues for the past nine months or so. I am a 30 year-old healthy female. I currently take Levothyroxine for a thyroid disorder. I am on no other medications. For the last year I have had fullness in both my ears. 1) She prescribed switching off between Nasonex and Astepro--taking a dose of each on alternating days. Is this common?
So far, neither the Nasonex or the Astepro has had any effect on my congestion. At times, my congestion I'm completely "plugged up" altogether. I called to ask the doc if it was OK to use the Afrin as sort of an "emergency" solution so that I could at least get some sleep.

I was on nasonex spray prn or I take 1 puff each nose at times for few years= 4 years. Now I noticed hair thinning and loss. I have stopped the nasonex now. Will my hair grow back as usual? I tried: prilosec for 14 days, nexium for 3 days (I had too many side effects from nexium so I discontinued it). what is the difference between addiction and dependence? I was reading another post and someone mentioned that he/she thought someone was dependent not addicted.. I'm just curious. Thanks in advance for any responses.
