After that my urine culture came back positive with group b strep . I'm not pregnant . My doctor gave me 7 days of penicillin .
I had unprotected sex with a new partner...and a week or so later i noticed pelvic pain. Made an appt and get tested for stds (12 days after unprotected sex). The doc found a uti and rx'd macrobid. Std tests came back negative. Macrobid didn't help and i developed burning with urination...doc gave me cipro. After cipro burning and pelvic pain was worse, so i went to the er. They found cervicitis and swabbed the pus for a std test and rx'd doxycycline for 2 weeks.
However, a week or 2 later, my frequent urination and irritation came back, and he put me on macrobid. This seemed to work a little for my urethral problems,but it worked A LOT for my testicle, which started to feel a lot better after weeks of pain. However, I finished the meds and still have many symptoms. He has now put me on cipro for 3 WEEKS and has no clue what's wrong dispite bladder utrasounds and scans. Any ideas?

About halfway through my initial treatment of Macrobid, I felt a burning/itching that seemed consistent with a yeast infection, which I'd gotten before because of antibiotic use. I treated with Monostat 1 and symptoms seemed to disappear. Now, at the end of my Cipro treatment, I am feeling these symptoms again.
I have not noticed any unusual discharge on my underwear, nor any unusual odor.

Hello - I saw my GP about a month ago after experiencing burning after urination. He did a urine test suspecting UTI and put me on macrobid(antibiotic) while he waited for the results. A week passed and there was no relief. Went back to GP and he said the results of the urinalysis and urine culture were normal but I told him about that the pain had since intensified.
I have some recurring urological problems (prostatitis/epididymitis) and in the past have been prescribed Cipro. I have an appointment with the urologist coming up and am sure I will need another course of Cipro. I hate taking that stuff. Everytime I take it, I feel extremely tired. It is almost to the point that I can't work. Usually better after a week on the meds. Anybody else have that reaction? I guess it is a necessary evil because the urolological problems always get better.
I was then placed on a low dose of Macrobid for 3 months. So now another month after cystoscope and 3 weeks on antibiotic and bladder control medication I have had good and bad days. Some days I feel good and normal then other days I feel like my symptoms are back. I have done a lot of reading to educate myself on how to get better so I changed my diet and have eliminated any bladder irritants, drink only water and started taking supplements to hopefully help heal the inflammed tissue.
Came back negative but said i had a uti. Took macrobid and symptoms got worse...doc then gave me cipro. Synptoms got worse. Did a pelvic exam and found cervicitis. Tested me for stds again and came back negative. Since then i have been on 5 rounds of antibitoics and tested for chlamydia and gonorrhea 6 times...all negative. What are the chances that all of these are false negatives? 4 out of 6 tests i was on a round of antibiotics.

I don’t feel burning pain, no cloudy or smelly urine and no blood. Went to see my PCP and did a urine test and found white blood cells. So he prescribed me Cipro (stopped after 1 dose due to a reaction) and now on Bactrim (7/10 dose now). I feel like **** for the first three days and today feel more energy but the right side urethra urination pain is still here and feeling worse. Anyone experience this or have a clue what this is? And it seemed like I was leaking urine. Cipro cleared it up. So did cephalexin. And the burning was not bad and it was also not with urination.
Turns out I have a 10-cm ovarian cyst that has probably been pulling things out of alignment in my pelvis. My CA-125 came back at 137 but the ultrasound of the cyst shows just a simple cyst. Large, but simple.
then was given 5 days worth of flagyl a month ago (for possible trich), and over a week ago was given macrobid for only 3 days (felt better for a couple days). Have seen 2 urologists, both said I'm fine and nothing is wrong. At times it feels like a burning sensation, getting worse when I have to urinate. No discharge or burning while urinating. I JUST FINISHED MACROBID 7 DAY TREATMENT. MY MENSTRUAL CAME 3 DAYS EARLY AND THERE IS BRIGHT RED BLOOD AND USUALLY MY MENSTRUAL BLOOD IS NOT THAT BRIGHT. I INITIIALLY WASNT DUE FOR MY MENSTRUAL UNTIL YESTERDAY I'VE BEEN BLEEDING SINCE THE 3RD AND IM STILL BLEEDING BUT NOT ALOT LIKE I WAS YESTERDAY AND THE DAYS BEFORE BUT THE BLEEDING HAS LIGHTENED. THE BLEEDING WILL COME OUT IN MY URINE I WANT TO KNOW WILL THE BLEEDING STOP?
