diet

Avatar f tn Diet soda has aspertame in it which is a chemical that can cause cancer, my favorite soda is diet coke, but i try to only have 1 or 2 a week, and drink other caffeinated drinks that aren't diet so I dont get migraines from my caffeine addiction lol, I'm addicted to energy drinks but avoid them often while pregnant.
Avatar f tn Diet and decaf are the worse no matter if you're pregnant or not. I like fizzy drinks so it doesn't have to be soda. Maybe find a different alternative?
Avatar f tn If it is not diet soda, that is one heck of a sugar load. I think it is the equivalent to 12 teaspoons of sugar in a 12-ounce can. And unfortunately, if it is diet soda, it is loaded with chemicals. Hate to say it because the sugar gives you a higher diabetes risk and a higher risk that your child will later on develop diabetes, and the chemicals are just nasty for you. Can you taper off by cutting the soda in half with sparkling water?

6519447 tn?1391770769 lots of women drink soda during pregnancy. I do, but only one a day, usually with dinner. soda won't do any harm, just make sure you don't overdo it! and I'd suggest coke over coke zero. alot of people don't realize diet sodas are worse for you than regular!

1891853 tn?1344648442 I tried googling first, but couldn't find the answer i was looking for. How much soda is safe, or what kind should i drink? Diet? Caffeine free? Im almost 12 Weeks, and when i found out i was pregnant at 5 Weeks, i cut out soda completely. i just can't stand the craving anymore! Lol. I heard light soda like 7 up, mountain dew, and sprite don't have caffeine and that i should drink those, but not sure how true that is.
7366593 tn?1400009626 I havent drank diet soda my whole pregnancy...I just wanted to know if I could have one cup on diet coke? Im 37 almost 38 weeks pregnant.
Avatar f tn Hi Ladies what are your thoughts on coffee 1 small cup a day, also what do you think about diet drinks in moderation. I love soda I know its bad for you and I am drinking tons of water these days but sometimes only a soda will do.
Avatar f tn I normally drink water, diet can iced tea (or fresh) and seltzer. Now my question is.... is diet soda OK in moderation? Like when me and my bf go to a mall, water gets so boring and the fast food places generally never have seltzer water. So therefore I'm forced with diet soda (YUCK). Is it ok just on the weekends? I mean I guess I'm doing something right, I've lost 30.5bs since 9/14 (not even 3 months yet) and still have another 12.5lbs to go by 1/4/09. Thanks!
1536593 tn?1292557199 Definitely stay away from diet soda and all sources of artificial sweeteners. It's not the brand name that's important here, it's what's in the product. Likely, you're like me and this is an intolerance. It's still necessary to AVOID this stuff in the future. There are a lot of bad health effects associated with artificial sweeteners--all of them. The primary one, of course, being that they are known carcinogenics.
Avatar f tn I am super craving root beer and my grandparents only have diet root beer is it safe for me to drink it? Im 22 weeks.

1284522 tn?1291842384 I am 21 weeks and for the past two days all ive craved is soda and everytime i try to drink water i gag. Throughout my whole pregnancy so far ive drank only water but now its different. Is it bad to drink alot like what are the side effects and how can it hurt the baby. I have already drank pepsis today and im just worried but i cant stop drinkin them.
Avatar f tn If you do drink soda make sure you drink water too. And don't drink diet as it dehydrates you more than regular.
Avatar f tn My dr says within reason to have splenda or any type of dieretic type stuff. I think they mean more so the 1st trimester when the development of the baby is the most crucial. I'm 27 wks myself and still have soda and my ice coffee both full of caffeine. Sorry some things I love and those are 2 of them. Soda only when I"m pg but ICED COFFEE YUMMY! I love it! I wouldn't worry. If anything cut down and only have them a few times a wk. Again though check with your dr!
Avatar f tn t supposed to drink dark colored sodas such as pepsi and coke becuz the coloring they use eats ur bones (and babies). The aspartame in diet soda is really bad for u. High fructose corn syrup is also very bad.

5913031 tn?1382391190 Diet soda... Not sure about. Any diet soda is bad for you period whether pregnant or not. Research shows it can cause cancer. Also contains aspartame which is a form of rat poison, anyway. Soda is alright during pregnancy here and there... As long as you don't consume for then 200mg.
72351 tn?1281992542 Those are great times to indulge yourself with some of that regular soda, if you have a craving for it. And for those other times, there are some great diet sodas out there. Good luck. It sounds like you are doing a great job!
Avatar f tn My question is how to relieve gas, pressure and bloating? I know about watching your diet and what you eat and drink, I have even tried drinking baking soda water. I am extremely uncomfortable, any opinions?
