1346724 tn?1282322904 I've read in previous forums that the Gluten and Casein Free diet has helped kids with Autism. My son's therapist hasn't concluded his dignosis but she's leaning to PDD-NOS and I was wondering if I should try a diet like that or the Feingold diet. Has any one tried either one or which one would be a better diet to follow?
1916673 tn?1420233270 I have now added a useful Vegetable Nutrition Data file to my own website which should help owners work out which are the best vegetables to add to a home cooked diet regime for their kd dogs. You can access this document under the Blog section of my website at www.tonyboothwriter.com This is a PDF file, so you can also download it or print it to read or reference at your convenience.

1277082 tn?1344057820 t really have any actual recipes but I do have advice for you in which it should probably help you out. For us with PCOS, it makes our bodies harder to digest simple carbs (i.e. pasta, breads, rice). So because of this, this is why we gain weight and this is why it takes so long to come off. My suggestions are as follows: Bread: whole grain, high fiber. Anything high fiber (yes it is more calories) works to your advantage, because it will make your body feel more full...
1423357 tn?1511085442 He was labeled immature, sensory disorder, etc. He has highly developed motor skills for a 4 year old and spends hours playing by himself with his box of Hot Wheels, but will welcome participation from any of us. One thing that we noticed early on was his refusal to eat certain foods. He seems to test a perspective food by first putting to his lips.
Avatar n tn Can anyone give me tips on a good diet plan or food to eat to lose fat and weight?
1156486 tn?1262394803 I will start a Iodine free diet next week in preparation for my Iodine131 treatment (for Jan. 21st) and would like to find the thyca cookbook. I did not see it on the thyca wedsite. I want to make sure that I do everything possible to insure good results from the treatment so I would appreciate finding recipes. Thank you.
Avatar f tn thank you for the reply I will try it. I have 3 kids and I try to do things with them now. Maybe I will take up a sport I used to enjoy that.
Avatar f tn Family gyms usually offer on-site day care for small children and fitness based activities for older kids, which include being supervised by an adult instructor/attendant ~ all while you exercise.
Avatar f tn Can anyone recommend a post Nissen Fundoplication diet and recipes to ensure proper nutrition?
Avatar n tn We have come up with recipes for cookies, pancakes, spaghetti sauce, chili, banana bread, etc. We also do tacos with corn tortillas and sometimes have 'beanie tacos' (that my kids really like) where we put refried beans, onions, and sauce on the corn tortillas. Rice Chex and Honey Nut Chex work well for cereals. Does any of that sound like it would work for your family?

Avatar f tn I highly recommend making your dogs food... it's a little more time consuming but at least you will know what's going in there. Plus, you can experiment a little more - I was always very generous with the meat and pasta vs. the eggs. Daisy would get so excited when she saw me grabbing the container from the fridge! Good luck to you and your dog!
427555 tn?1267553158 OH I feel for you..I did the LID last year for three weeks. And I used a small amout of Kosher salt. I found this site about RAI and LID. Good luck and hang in there. Margie http://www.thyca.org/rai.
Avatar f tn The only way to loose weight effectively is to do it slow, and to make changes to your diet for life. There are several approaches to do this, my favourite is: think of how much you are willing to change. Make your own short term goals, which are achievable, like 3 kgs lost by the first monday next month. Do not fret or give up if weight stagnates...this is normal, and still better than gaining it back. Never forbid yourself something: you will only crave it more.
Avatar n tn For a boot camp-style training session, perform each exercise for one minute with a 30-second recovery between exercises. Rest for three minutes after completing the first set, and then complete two more sets. The following is an excellent routine! 1943833 tn?1349276589 Even if your puppy was healthy I would not recommend it but considering their is renal disease, a veterinary approved diet is what is necessary. R/D is a balanced diet, even for a growing puppy. In fact their is a food made from Hill's called K/D that is specifically designed for renal disease. A study was done years ago out of Colorado state university that showed even puppies fed k/d; a protein restricted diet, received all the necessary nutrition for a healthy life.
973741 tn?1342342773 We don't have California Pizza Kitchen that I know of, but I'll certainly look for one. I found several recipes for cucumber revivers, cucumber coolers, etc. Most of them have lemon juice. I only found one with lime juice. Unfortunately, I don't have any of the ingredients to make them!! Most of the recipes use either agave or honey. I don't have the agave but I always have honey on hand.
