Avatar n tn My liver doctor told me that I cant take any diet pills what so ever but im wondering about water pills or anything.
Avatar n tn I appreciate the menu descriptions. I would love to lose about 20 pounds. I'm hoping that this diet will be the one! I will definitely be checking out GHI Medical. Good luck to you & your friend. I will watching for your success! I'll let you know what happens in a few.
Avatar f tn Choose the one in the practice that you know will listen. You need to push that fact that you are unwell with these persistent headaches and that you would like for your headaches to be investigated. If you don't push it, some doctors just don't bother. With all the symptoms that you are having, it may still be low iron levels and this will make you anaemic. This is why you will feel tired and look pale.
Avatar f tn Sorry to be hard about the weight stuff, but honestly too many women want an excuse to not experience the work and discomfort that comes when you first start a serious workout program, but really if you don't, you're not being honest about your weaknesses and giving up - take control, get your butt outside or to the gym every single day and you well feel better!
Avatar n tn I am 58 and take no pills as yet and am wondering if these results require pills or if diet and exercise would change the readings?
Avatar n tn I know how painful those spasms are and how people suffer with them so I figured I would let others know that stopping the pills helped me with the spasms. Before I stopped the pills even the zanaflex that the doctor put me on wouldn't stop the spasms. When I was on the cholestrol pills (which by coincidence you take at night) I was having 8 or 9 spasms a night , now without the cholestrol pills I get 2 a night. I know it made a difference for me.
568280 tn?1218126402 I think I will try drinking a ton of water like a previous person had suggested, and see if that works. Is the cream you mentioned still working, or did it just work for a couple days? I swear, there should be a support group for this! It is unbearable at times! thanks for listening.
251922 tn?1193786078 I had hoped I could lose and little weight and as my body adjusts (especially since the original protocol didn't call for excercise) I could incorporate the physical little by little. I can't take any pain meds with this diet and I can't take the pain that will come after daily exercise yet. (I normally took IB daily at least twice and Vicodin at least once month for bad times) Just being off my meds has made a difference!
Avatar f tn After about a half hour or few minutes, my throat gets moisture back into it, and I can swallow with siliva. Im on ppi pills right now, and they seem to work a little. Im just wondering if I am suffering from lpr? or if it is something totally different?
Avatar f tn In desperation I did a vinegar rinse- rice vinegar as that is the standard here. It seemed to work a little bit, and I noticed that one poster had done it a second time to improve it, so this is what I did. Again, disaster- thick grease down all of my hair that the water would hardly even penetrate to rinse. Feeling pretty sick by this point I put a ton of conditioner on it, left it for 15mins and then rinsed off.
Avatar f tn My daughter went back to school after holiday break on Jan 7th, and she came home with a wet cough. The school had put down a new carpet in the hallways and done some other work. The cough was loose & she felt miserable & was out of school 2 days that first week, 2 more days the second week and a day the 3rd week of january. From the 25th to Feb 5th, she couldn't bear to go in.
Avatar f tn Unforunatly most mood stabilzers can cuase weight gain but diet and exercise can take care of that. Now since you on depakote,be sure to have your thryoid tested.Depakote and lithium both destroy the thyroid and that will worsen your bi polar or give you bi polar symptoms when you never had them before. Good luvk to you.

However, to prevent any deficiency or increase my calcium intake what do u recommend? shud I eat more of certain foods? if so, what and how much? is there a good calcium tablet (available in the UK) which is safe and recommended?

544292 tn?1268886268 Hi Friends, Good work! Welcome new warriors! We are glad you are here. Make yourself comfy.
1388972 tn?1280136169 I have put on weight over the past year, change of contraception & not really bothering about what I eat. I was a size 10 (UK Size!) & now I’m a 14 & my boobs are 36G (which I’m not to bothered about !) Anyway, the past month I have been cycling to & from work which is just over 7 miles & have been eating healthier, I have also ordered Pure Hoodia pills & Acia Berry’s...
Avatar m tn Hi Community, Hope you are all well. I am getting nervous that I may have a potential Prostate cancer scare. I'm a 25 yr old heterosexual black male from the UK. My father passed away recently from the disease and my current symptoms are offering me huge anxiety. So I will start with the current situation about a month and a half ago now. So I started getting pains and a discomfort feeling around my penis. It became hard for me to ejaculate and it often hurt. I knew there was something wrong.
1344197 tn?1392822771 Senior author Dr Ian R Reid (University of Auckland) told heartwire that women should discuss the finding from his study with their doctors, but that in most cases, "discontinuation of calcium would seem appropriate." There are those that disagree with the studies findings.
Avatar f tn In short, I think that its at least possible that at least some of what you are experiencing is due to your diet and not the medication. I am also curious as to if you take only one tablet in the morning or if you take a second later on. Basically to get a lump in the throat 5 hours after taking the tablet would suggest that it is not the med doing that. When does the nausea hit? What have you done or taken just before the nausea?
1238554 tn?1339423716 I had the weirdest panic attack ever. The other day at work I was reading about "locked-in syndrome", which I SHOULD NOT have been looking at considering my ridiculous health anxiety. And for the love of everything, if you don't know what it is, DON'T GOOGLE IT. Anyway. Basically I think it is the worst thing that could happen to someone in my honest opinion. Being trapped completely in your own body? No thank you. So I was trying to go to sleep and I started thinking about it.
417564 tn?1287986427 Fidh, chicken and eggs are good to eat once you incorporate food into your diet. Prior to that, you will need nutritional supplements. We tapered from 110mg. methadone from Aug.'07 to 7mg. March 6 and went cold turkey from there. We reduced by 5mg. per week down to 45mg., then 2mg. per day thereafter down to 7. That is a fast taper and there is no way our bodies had time to catch up but thus far it has made a world of difference.
Avatar m tn It seems that there is something about the digestion process or the body's metabolic process that is involved in these reactions and that by slowing down this process the body's reaction to the drug can be slowed down. This is just a theory on my part - I'm not a doctor. DOCTORS: Please warn youR patients who have penicillin and sulfa allergy to avoid foods that my contain traces of these drugs. DERMATOLOGISTS: Please note that these allergies are more than skin deep. They are dangerous.
Avatar n tn I am also in th UK. my Tsh is now 3.15. The only good thing is that your GP has done a T4 test, mine won't even do it. and issued me with anti depressants and diet pills neither of which I have taken. I do the Temp test every morning and its averaging about 35.9. Told the Dr. "Utter rubbish" was the reply.
907968 tn?1292625804 HDL is too low. Overall can be a bit higher. Probably best to stick to my current diet and just work on exorcising, (need a job, badly). Or tweaking my diet some. Either way, your explanation sounds right so I'll stay away from that but it might be good to know to those that suffer from constant low cholesterol(?).
Avatar m tn I called for the emergency doctor only to be confonted with the fact that the doctors in my region are incredibly lazy and dont care. I felt terribly dizzy and sick from my stomach as I made my way to the doctors, he was a very young doctor who seemed to take certain things, ignoring the rest, moulding them into a ball and coming up with a 50/50 diagnosis, which was that I had a Urinal infection.
Avatar f tn You may be able to get your Dr to prescribe the liquid for you (if you explain your anxiety and inability to take pills/gel caps). If MD won't work with you to get you liquid, you can get it at a health food store. Hope this helps and that you feel better soon!
5860291 tn?1379195535 it is helping me a lot, but i need to be on strict homepathic diet for it to work properly. Over last one month since I started it, my lump is almost half size to the amazement of my surgeon...any deviation from my diet, increases inflammation, so diet is VERY important. I only eat gourd, courgette, cucumber and egg cooked with half tsp of oil, turmeric, salt and little bit of cumin powder...with rice..(am south Asian :).and also milk with Sagu (tapioca) and flattened rice (Chira)...
Avatar f tn The problem I have with going just with a special MS diet and giving up the drugs is nothing has been proven that diet works. It is all anecdotal evidence. Making that choice is serious, especially if you don't remain relapse free. Good luck at CC.
Avatar n tn I have decided to take lipotropic pill along with the b12 shots instead of ordering it through Scale Solutions (trying the cheap route 1st)and I was wondering if anyone else is or if anyone knew of anybody that the pills have worked on. I will be started the whole shabang on Monday (b12 injection, 37.5 phentermine, lipotropic pills, and a 800 calorie diet)The instructions on the bottles tells me to take 2 tablet three times a day but that seem a bit much.
