Avatar f tn Diet pills won't work by themselves - you will need to eat sensibly and moderate exercise. In addition, most often any weight lost with diet pills usually comes back once you go off them. You will need to make changes that will sustain you over the long haul. Would love to see you take twehner5's advice and check out some of the journals and posts from others who have been successful. And don't let her fool you, twehner5 has done quite well for herself too.
664382 tn?1280914155 hello this is prudent, do diet pills really work? and are they safe? what have you used in conjuction with a diet? do you excercise more? drink more fluids? I did try diet pills once I got so bloated? and I used a diaretic? would like to hear your input, thanks again.
764218 tn?1234573359 I've heard rumors of girls my age taking diet pills, and later on in life are overweight and can't lose the weight because they ruined their metabolism. Is this true? Do diet pills really work? Not sure what else to do! ANY opinions much appreciated!

Avatar n tn You can go to a Bariatrics doctor and they can prescribe for you and you get it from your actual pharmacy. Scary, my insurance covers diet pills. Doesn't cover birth control, but covers diet pills. You don't need to use them for very long, though. It will make your heart race and feel funny...thus, the reason they are abused. Definitely an upper, and yes, Andi, my house was SPOTLESS while on them. Oceans, you're so not fat. 138 is the perfect, curvy weight. Men don't like bones....
5986700 tn?1380794980 Hey "Rootin-Rosy", You sound like such a little fire-cracker, such spirit. Thanks for the input. Lol, no, no steak for me; I'm a vegetarian. Stay positive.
Avatar f tn what is a really good diet to go on and how does it work? i want to lose weight fast, i have tried a few diet pills but they make me tired do any of them work?
Avatar n tn Phenylalanine suppresses the appetite by increasing the production of the neurotransmitter norepinephrine. Amphetamines, or diet pills, work in much the same way, but, unlike amphetamines, phenylalanine does not cause a depressive crash when it is stopped. Hypothyroid patients should avoid fluorine and chloring. These two chemicals may block iodine receptors in the thyroid gland, potentially causing reduced hormone production.
Avatar n tn Diet pills, injections, "quick fixes"...none of these really work, and some are downright dangerous. You have to really, really work at weight loss. It takes dedication, education about proper nutrition, support, exercise, and a plan that you can live with for life. Or, just take some pills that may work for a few weeks or months, and then regain it all plus some. You choose.
208164 tn?1189759432 won't ok, as In his eyes I am not that overweight, and have a healthy BMI I would love to be 115 again, but not sure it is so healthy to live on diet pills??(i've taken them on and off for 10 yrs.) As for balanced diet, I eat very healthy, and work out 4 days a week(although I have been slacking the last month. I am doing the lipodissolve shots, and they kinda take you out of commission for awhile, although I have been walking.
Skulleton Aloha I would like to know wats the best diet pilss out there that really works n burns belly fat ...
Avatar f tn i've been using this alli diet pills since july and i've lost 10+ lbs. i'm really bad when it comes to dieting. i dont eat right and dont excerise because i'm either bored or too tired. i went to the docs and they weighed me at 151lbs in june. and in late aug i bought a scale and it said i was 141lb. woohoo! it's now oct i losted 3 1/2 inches total. i dont know how much i weigh now cause i returned the scale. :-( but to the people who are lazy like me ;-) this pill works.
1641357 tn?1470498993 I also didn't even lose any weight! I really wouldn't recommend drugs (that's what diet pills amount to) to anyone, especially a mom that has to look after 2 young kids. I know it's hard to accept when the pill sites are promising fast weight-loss with no cons, but really, sensible dieting and getting way more active is the only healthy way to shed the extra pounds. The weight didn't get there overnight, so it's only sensible to realize that it won't get burnt off that fast either.
Avatar f tn I dont know about the diet pills u r taking but what u describe sounds like panic attacks/anxiety attacks
Avatar n tn I agree, avoid the pills, many are considered "herbal" and are not required to undergo evaluation by the FDA. Good old fashioned diet and exercise is the best and most effective way to lose weight.

4784361 tn?1401234707 Most of us here, aren't very open minded when it comes to diet pills. How about if I pretend to "be your doctor" and just say "no"?.. LOL Those pills really can have an adverse reaction since you're taking beta blockers (I used to be on them, too). Diet pills usually don't work, especially for those of us with hypothyroidism.
Avatar f tn Has anyone ever tried Phenfuel diet pills? I have a buddy who swears by them and shifted about 3 stone with them but would love to hear any more feedback if anyone has tried them. Also wondering how they interact with anti-depressants (Prozac to be specific)?? Thanks....
Avatar n tn But losing weight is worth the sacrifice. I really trust this pill! I feel really good on it. The diet really curbs the starving feeling, hey! Continue to post. love to know how others are doing.
Avatar n tn My liver doctor told me that I cant take any diet pills what so ever but im wondering about water pills or anything.
Avatar n tn There are some safe natural diet pills that are effective. Visit this website for a review of the most popular weight loss pills: http://www.slimmingreviews.com SlimQuick has some side effects and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
Avatar n tn I started taking diet pills for weight loss. I am sure they have added to my depression and they did nothing for the weight gain or appetite. I'm still with the extra weight, and then some I'm sure, I still have all the symptoms as before but now they are worse from the bontril and tenuate and phentermine. I want to stop taking them but when I do I get worse so I take them. I don't have a great insurance plan so I can't go in for detoxification. I would like to know how to stop on my own.
177988 tn?1266802499 I hate to say it but diet pills don't really work or if you ever find one that does it will be very short lived. If you want the last 10 lbs off then cardio it up and eat lots of fruits and vegetables. Eating healthy is key 5-6 small meals a day.
Avatar n tn In the past, I took either one pill or 1/2 pill of Phenteramine and now the cardiologist said to go back to taking the Phenteramine although she will not write me a prescription for it. Is it safe to take diet pills on a long-term basis and if not, what would you recommend. My main symptoms are fatigue and lightheadedness. I've battled this for 15 years and have had every test imagineable. Any help or suggestions that you might have would be greatly appreciated.
