Avatar n tn There are several websites on which you can keep a food journal or even just start a journal here on MedHelp; I also understand that MedHelp is coming out with a food journal in the near future... Make sure you get plenty of exercise - it will not only help burn calories, but it will help give you more energy. Good luck and keep posting.
Avatar n tn Taking sugar and excess drinking out of your diet can greatly reduce anxiety as well as help lift serotonin levels. Check out the perks of a hypoglycemic diet or paleo diet or just google the benefits of hypoglycemic diets for those with anxiety. I know it has helped me in the past, and am striving to keep to the diet to help me in the future. It can take a month or two months to set in, though, so it's not exactly a quick fix.
Avatar f tn I just posted in my journal. It feels lately I've had a lot of things contributing to my mood and yet another one has come to light. I wrote the short version (if you see it, you'll realize it's not very short.) Some of you were aware that my ex was in jail for about 3 + weeks. He was released the other day and, of course, is back to his old self. He's so mean-spirited and sick. And the worst of it is his greatest pleasure is giving me grief.
Avatar n tn Have you talked to your doctor about a weight loss plan? Not only can your doctor make sure that you're healthy enough for regular physical activity, but she/he can also suggest nutrition options and workouts that suit your lifestyle and level of fitness. Talking with your doctor gives you an outline and someone to report your success to in order to stay motivated. Plan long and short term goals to help you stay motivated and see results.
Avatar m tn Does anyone know how long you're supposed to wait before bringing back "trigger" foods into your diet. My doctor said I can do it by the end of this month, but I am a bit nervous because I don't know how to go about doing this. I know I'm not supposed to bring them all back at once but do I just eat a trigger food then wait a few days? I don't get it. I am concerned that if I even eat one trigger food, my esophagus will swell up again.
Avatar f tn s temporary and all worth it as the end result. I remember saying with my first I need to write a pregnancy journal about how miserable I was so I won't do it again. But I wanted another child and I went through about the same beginning symptoms. But now I'm 18 weeks about nd feeling like myself and I can feel my baby move. So all of the morning sickness and fatigue is just a memory.
187316 tn?1386356682 So kinda off topic but I was sitting around thinking today about how Aspen is about to be one and how I have no real record of my pregnancy. Sure I have ultrasound pictures and am working on a baby book but I don't have any kind of pregnancy journal documenting the things I went through while she was in my tummy. Well, then I realized that medhelp is like a giant pregnancy journal!
644974 tn?1312758070 Are you trying to write a journal through the Journal interface or through the Tracker interface? On My MedHelp, on the Journals panel, you should see a link that says, Write a new journal entry. If you click that, you should see a form that has text boxes for Title, Journal Entry and Tags. Do you see that?
976084 tn?1270872439 I don't want to copy and paste what I wrote in my journal but if someone thinks they might want to help me can you please read it. Thank you for anyone who actually does...
Avatar m tn anyone else doing a pregnancy journal for their child to read once they're older?:) I've been pretty loyal to mine.:) I hope my son will enjoy and appreciate it once he is older.
Avatar n tn Adam Drewnowski and Allen S. Levine write in the "Journal of Nutrition" that added sugar and fat make up more than 50 percent of the typical American diet and contributes to the obesity epidemic. Craving sweets after a meal can hamper weight loss efforts. You try to deny the craving, only making it more pronounced. If you indulge the craving, stopping with a small serving may be impossible for you.
Avatar f tn I would go to a bland diet and add things in slowly to see what effect different items have. You can journal it. Then you will be left with a safe diet of foods. Fiber in particular can be tricky for flatulence. Be careful with all fiber foods and introduce slowly such as nuts, legumes, breads, cereals, vegetables with higher fiber, etc. Stick to smaller portions too of all meals even if you have to eat more frequently. And as purple stated, lower fat foods are better.
Avatar n tn I would keep a food journal and blood sugar readings journal, sounds like a pain, but I think it will help you understand your body a little bit better. Try going to a dietician and find out if your diet could be tweaked a little to maintain better control. I feel so much better when my blood sugars are under control. If you look in the archives of this forum I believe there are some questions related to your question that might be helpful.
Avatar f tn of course I will have a baby memory book, capturing all of the little moments briefly. but i was wondering is anyone else doing or going to do a journal documenting their delivery and all after with the new baby?? i think that would be a neat little keep sake along with the baby memory book that I bought. I just feel that the memory book doesnt have enough space to write everything out.

1466015 tn?1286304436 Here is another diet I would recommend for ya to drop 30 pounds really fast. As I've said, I've fought weight issues since my early 20's. Up to about the age of 35 I found dieting pretty easy and effective. Every year past that, it's become so much harder to drop the weight and I've really been adding on the pounds to a point of danger, not to mention embarrassment and ego deflating. This year I've come close to 200 lbs. Imagine that on a 5'2 frame.
764218 tn?1234569759 Last year, for the first time of my life I went for a diet - it was a high protein, low-carbs diet, and I really got rid of all the extra pounds and even more. For that time I also did fitness and swimming. It took me 6 months to get rid of my extra weight, and bear in mind, that were only 22 lbs, meaning they were not too much. If you want to lose weight being 100% sure no side effects would occur, then you should be prepared for a long weight loss process.
Avatar f tn I have thought about my diet too becasue I drink diet pop on a daily basis and I like salt and my cheese so I have considered that some of it could maybe be diet but for sure my nerves are way overactive. I will get a journal set up and go from there.
Avatar f tn How can I diet and eat healthy if my parents do not buy healthy food? I have talked to them about why we need to eat healthy, and they have just told me it costs too much. They will not get good foods and I do not have control over groceries myself.
Avatar f tn ) I think regular exercise is a great counterbalance to pms symptoms along with a healthy diet. Exercise causes us to emit our own bodies natural stress relieving hormones. Sometimes keeping a journal to go write down how we are irritated is helpful. We can look back at how unreasonable we are being but better there than to actually ever say anything. It is good to not give into it.
Avatar m tn The dietitians recommendation, based on a study published in the Journal of American Nutrition and Diet, recommends a high calcium and oxalate diet on the theory that such a diet will have the calcium and oxalate combine in the digestive track before they get to the kidney. An additional concern is that the urologist recommended diet cuts out many food groups that I have come to believe are good for you: whole wheat bread and pasta, beans, leafy green vegetables, nuts, green tea, chocolate.
Avatar m tn apples, berries, tomato products). The diet has you start with a 4 week elimination diet which clears the body - we noticed a huge difference in 2 days. Then you can slowly introduce food items and track whether they cause any issues.
Avatar f tn 11 so yea I look a little piggy right now lol I will turn 22 weeks this week is it bad to go on a diet ?
