The medication is terribly expensive 1k per shot!! I do not know what I will do if I do not have insurance!! I have been using Melaluca products since 2006 and love them they have laundry supplies, cleaning, and personal care. There renew lotion is the best I have used! It keeps you mosturised without the greasy feel and it lasts most of the day!
Avatar m tn We tripped across the answer to his psoriasis accidentally. He was trying a gluten free diet for another reason and realized his psoriasis was clearing up after many, many years of having the problem. I looked it up on-line and found out gluten free eating can cure some cases of psoriasis. Gluten can also be behind some people's yeast infections. It would be wonderful if gluten was causing both your problems. You can look the diet up on-line and see if you'd like to try it.
Avatar f tn Right upper quadrant pain can be due to many things. It's a busy area in the body. But can it have anything to do with psoriasis - well a certain percentage of psoriasis patients can have celiac disease (as is the case in my husband's family). Celiac disease can be controlled with a gluten free diet. Some people with celiac disease disease and psoriasis, when they follow a strict gluten free diet, can heal their psoriasis. But this is not the case for most psoriasis sufferers.
Avatar m tn Besides these treatment options, regular exercises, nutritious diet and relaxation techniques will help to relieve stress and improve health, and contribute a lot in treating psoriasis. I suggest you to consult dermatologist. Take care and regards.
Avatar n tn My husband got relief from the psoriasis in his ears by sticking to a gluten free diet. A certain percentage of psoriasis patients can blame gluten for their problems, but not all. Look the diet up online and give it a try and see if it helps. Give it a few weeks to months to see if it gets rid of the problem.
Avatar m tn But my husband and my kids have psoriasis and all three got relief from a gluten free diet. They went on the diet for other reasons and realized that their psoriasis was clearing up. I looked it up and sure enough a certain percentage of psoriasis sufferers get relief from this diet. I saw your question and thought I'd mention this, just in case you are one of the ones that will get relief from the diet. Hope this helps.

Avatar m tn //www.psoriasis.org/treatment/psoriasis/diet/ There are many lotions, sprays, creams and tablets available for the treatment. Do consult a skin specialist who can put you on a rotational treatment so that your psoriasis does not get used to one treatment. Hope this helps. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted. Take care!
Avatar f tn I don't know if this will help you, but I would get sweaty and itchy in those same areas. I went on a gluten free diet for another reason and the itchy, red rashes went away. I would still get sweaty in the skin folds, but everything else went away. And some people with psoriasis are helped with the gluten free diet - my husband being one of them. If you'd like to give the diet a try, give it three months. Read about the gluten free diet on the internet.
1818882 tn?1317071318 My husband had similar symptoms along with psoriasis. I put him on a gluten free diet for the psoriasis and it helped about 90%.....but I also noticed his paranoia and anxiety(which was worsening) disappeared the longer he stuck with the diet. It sounds far fetched, but maybe try the gluten free diet and see if you notice a change in his behavior. Gluten is found in wheat, barley, rye and possibly oats.
Avatar f tn To begin wit keep a diary and make a note of his symptoms, this will help to track the allergen and avoid the same. For the psoriasis, apply constantly plenty of good moisturizing creams and alternate with steroid creams. Use a humidifier in the rooms to avoid dryness. Phototherapy for psoriasis is advocated for lesions not responding to topical ointments. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
Avatar m tn Hello everyone. Let me start with a brief history. Growing up I always had the worst leg pains. They kept me up at night when everyone else slept and were just written off until I cut me knee bad and had an x-ray. Osgood-Schlaters syndrome. I say this because in my late teens when these pains ceased I started getting new pains and cramping. Sometimes debilitating intense cramping, but only in my legs. Then in my early 20s I began to sweat a lot, mostly underarms.
Avatar f tn So now I have red dry flaky patches on both lids, sides of face (hear the hairline) and both corners of mouth. After much googling, it seems to be Psoriasis. Been trying to find out if there's a link between Hashi's & Psoriasis, not much in depth info to be found. Anyone in here encounter the same problem? What can be done to minimise the Psoriasis?
Avatar n tn A pediatric dermatologist, if there is one in the area may be able to help. Psoriasis or seborrheic dermatitis are also differentials but psoriasis is rare in infants and young children.
Avatar f tn It sounds like psoriasis. It normally doesn't appear on the face, but there's always those of us who are walking contradictions to medical opinions. Now, there's all kinds of topical solutions. However, dermatologists have finally designed a light treatment that is painless & works. Usually psoriasis will go away with sunlight, so that's how the light treatment works. So, get a referral to a dermatologist so they can determine whether it is or is not psoriasis.
Avatar n tn After 2 years of suffering from rectal itching, I was diagnosed by a surgeon with puritus ani. I tried every suggestion for diet modification; no alchohol, caffiene, citric acid, spicy food, fried food, tomato based food, dairy, even limited red meat. I treat the area gently, don't over clean, shower after bowel movements, drink lots of water, added fiber with metamucil, and protect the area with desitin baby rash ointment, (zinc oxide cream).
Avatar m tn I read AK is precancerous. Scares me. I don't have insurance currently, so I can't see a doctor for a little while. I've been getting all kinds of rashes for the last couple years, but this spot is reoccurring and its duration this time around has been at least 3 weeks and still going, which seems awfully long. Pictures at https://imgur.com/a/pk0BF29 , although my cell phone isn't the best quality.
Avatar n tn Not sure where you would look for more information on the level of psoriasis problems involved with interferon, or stats on how common the interaction is. Someone else here might know? Good luck.
Avatar f tn I'm sick and no one believes me cause my symptoms are sweating, weakness, bad taste in mouth and stomach irritation and newly diagnoses guttate psoriasis. I never feel good anymore but my blood tests are fine. My body is attacking itself. I feel better and then whammo - start feeling really bad again. Think it might be something with my immune system cause of the psoriasis but I'm starting to think it must be my stomach. Had bariatric surgery 12 yrs ago.
Avatar f tn This way the boron will instead carry the metals out through your urine. If this diet is too strict for you, take it up with your government, who are the ones spraying the marshmallow snakes in the sky (the lines of cloud that come from certain air planes).
