It's unhealthy to diet and try to lose weight while pregnant. Your baby and body needs those calories. There is also a similar summary of this on WebMD, but again, if you look at the doctor that reviewed and approved the article, she is not a neurologist, much less a neurologist that specializes in MD.

They also develop other diseases such as heart disease.

I'm going to make a shopping list today. I house share so I need to avoid looking at foods I can't eat. So I'm going to only use one cupboard only. I have to face exercise later. I am supposed to get three 250 iu shots a week and it will cost $50.00 per week. They also had a doctor do blood work and gave me an ekg, which I paid 60.00 for. I need to lose 60 lbs, ugh....

Avatar m tn Nearly everything we eat is harmful, if we eat enough of it, so taxing sugary drinks is only a drop in the bucket towards taxing unhealthy foods, or ending obesity. It would be a never ending string of taxes, because they'd have to go after fat, salt, etc.
Avatar n tn I have always fed her lots of fruit and veggies, limited carbs and even cut out all white flour and potato products... Also all processed foods from her diet. Very little change. I lost 10lbs... Down to 130lbs while she lost 2lbs. I really believe her little body was overdosed on steroids, estrogen medicine and steroids have a serious drug interaction in that estrogen nearly triples the effect of steroids.

Avatar n tn In my personal experience, diet colas make me want more sweet or high-carb foods, and from this forum I think that's a pretty normal experience, so it's best to avoid them if you can; but, if you can get yourself to see them as a 'treat' and push-off any other cravings, then sure, go for it.

Anyone can go on a high protein diet, anyone can then add in more of their regular foods later on, and anyone can then go back to eating whatever they want in a third stage. What these programs do, though, is some people just won't do it themselves and for those people a program can substitute for the discipline they lack.
