Common Questions and Answers about Diet eating list

eating

Avatar f tn The problem with this is that diet is a very individual thing. Many people in the weight loss biz are obsessed with calories, but that's not really the key to diet, although it is important. The key is how well you digest what you're eating and how quickly it metabolizes into sugar. Low carb low fat diets are mostly a fad that can work short term but is unhealthy long-term.

Avatar f tn If he is on triple tx, with Incivek for the first 12 weeks, he will actually be forced to eat a very high fat diet during that stage (20 mg of fat within 30 minutes prior to pill), as that medication is carried and absorbed via fat. Other than that one drug there are no real dietary restrictions except eating enough and including some fats for better absorption of the ribavirin. Most people lose their appetite and lose some weight while on interferon and ribavirin.

Avatar f tn Talk to your mom about why you are wanting to eat healthy . make her a list of foods you would be interested in eating, making sure the food you are choosing is cost effective such as carrots. tell her your concerns and go to the store with her to help make healthier choices . eating healthy doesn't always mean having to spend more money.

Avatar n tn t even get a chance to taste them since I go into pain immediately. Do you have a list of triggering foods available? Common sense tells me no acid or "hot" seasoned foods but a taste of Hungry Jack mashed potatoes did me in tonight for 2 1/2 hrs. Is that typical? Was it the salt content (I did not add), all I added was butter, was it that? I need help in determining which foods to choose and what ingredients to stay away from. I felt better after 2 doses of oxcar...

Avatar m tn He is unclear exactly what kind of a diet he should be on while taking the medication. Is he supposed to take 20 mg. of fat with all 3 medications or just with certain ones. And what type of breakfast do you recommend. He is under the impression that he needs to eat a full meal with every dose. Can someone enlighten us? Thanks so much.

Avatar n tn Have you talked to your doctor about a weight loss plan? Not only can your doctor make sure that you're healthy enough for regular physical activity, but she/he can also suggest nutrition options and workouts that suit your lifestyle and level of fitness. Talking with your doctor gives you an outline and someone to report your success to in order to stay motivated. Plan long and short term goals to help you stay motivated and see results.
Avatar n tn Most people will find that a very low fiber diet (you can google this for a list of foods that are higher in fiber and that you shouldn't eat), a very low-fat diet, and eating many small meals throughout the day is helpful. Also some people puree all the food they will eat and only eat pureed foods. Some people also have an only liquids diet, but this is usually short term.
616450 tn?1228433627 Folks, I talked to my endocrinologist about the way certain foods seem to affect my thyroid. She said nothing I eat can help or hurt my thyroid, but I could swear I feel it almost HURT about a half hour after I eat a lot of dairy. Also, if I eat something like Sun Chips--or any thing else with a lot of enriched wheat flour, etc.--I feel it as well along with a "pumped up" feeling. I read some about it online, but the endo claims it doesn't have much to do with my diet.
Avatar f tn but I did get a really bad systemic yeast infection a while back and so stripped down my diet to get rid of most prepared foods, and I find that by eating a very clean diet (mostly fresh foods), I feel much much better than before, but hard to draw absolute cause and effect. I skip dairy and wheat, but that is just me. Fruit, but no refined sugar at all. Everybody's different, tho.

Avatar f tn My husband has always loved sushi and before he started treatment, he'd eat it about once a week or every 2 weeks. During treatment, shouldn't he stop eating it completely or am I being overly cautious? For the most part, he doesn't touch red meat, eats cooked fish (salmon, halibut, monk, etc.) about once a week, lots of raw veggies and lots of fruit.
Avatar f tn I am wondering what foods are best to eat? I recently started eating much healthier with the " low carb diet plan" I am walking but I still have pain of course so I need some sort of list of foods that are good for people with this. The only pain medication i take for fibro is Tramadol 200 mg time released twice per day. I have been on everything I was addicted to hydrocodon like to never got off of it.
1661682 tn?1313135396 Eating healthy is truly what is best for your baby. Just be sure you are eating enough and not depriving yourself or your baby of anything important while trying not to gain weight. Just eat lots of fruits and veggies and cut back on the junk. I also enjoyed taking walks while pregnant and it helped me keep my weight down with both of my pregnancies!
Avatar n tn I have to start a low-iodine diet before RAI testing soon. I'm okay with most of the stuff I can and can't eat but I'm having a terrible time just thinking of not having coffee! I usually have 3-4 cups of coffee a day, always with milk (the Hispanic "cafe con leche" tradition!) I can't live without it and if I don't have my coffee I get a terrible headache. Some diets I've seen say I can have non-dairy creamers, other say to avoid that as well.
4093350 tn?1358096154 t take anything to an extreme, have faith in your body and the pregnancy process (it truly is amazing). As far as eating, follow a healthy, balanced diet (the more things with the fewest possible ingredients, the healthier it is). If something seems questionably prepared, don't eat it. If you would question it not pregnant, don't eat it. Anyway, that's my approach. I have a super healthy, normal son and have been having a smooth, normal second pregnancy.
Avatar f tn But after reading the comments I will not worry about it and take tomorrow morning. However I was wondering if there is a special diet or food that should not be taken. I will not see my Dr till October and am worried that I might be eating stuff I shouldn't. Thank you. Really appreciate this site. Great info.
Avatar f tn I know this list is limited to my own personal research and what i prefer to include in my diet, this is by no means the ONLY things that i eat but these things i am including in my daily diet. With that said my question is this: Do you think it will hurt to take a daily multi-vitamin in addition to get the things that i'm NOT getting in my daily foods? Can what is included in a daily vitamin be too much vitamin with what i'm already having in my daily foods?
