arthrotec

Avatar f tn Is anyone on Diclofenac? I am on it for an orthopedic condition and have been on it almost 4 weeks. It works, but am unsure how long I will be on it. As short a time as possible, I hope,...but, I was wondering....for those with arthritis (which it usually prescribed for,,).....are you on it daily? As an ongoing medication? I hope to go off it to avoid risks with prolonged usage, but up to now...it has not caused me any problems.
Avatar f tn I would recommend an MRI of head/brain with CONTRAST, an MRI of the neck and a Neurology consult for starts. You should post in the Neurology and Neck/Back Forums vs ENT Forum.
Avatar f tn Question. I have started taking Diclofenac 75mg x's 2 a day to try and see if a non narcotic medication may give me some relief long term with my rib pain. I have taken it for 2 weeks and at first I didn't think it was helping at all. Now I think 1 of 2 things either A) it's starting to build up in my system and is helping better or B) My ribs just happen to feel a bit better lately.

653169 tn?1303446369 Does anyone have any experience with diclofenac? If so, does it work better than over the counter antiinflammatory drugs and does upset the stomach much?
Avatar f tn My 59 year old husband, Hep C+ diagnosed in 2007, F-4 Cirrhosis diagnosed in 2010, compensated liver (last blood work was in July, 2012, and he has never had ascites, varices, or hepatic encephalopathy), and failed three Hep C treatments in past 5 years (last failure was triple tx w/Incivek stopped treatment mid-April, 2012 due to viral breakthrough), not currently on treatment. Question: He has had pain and swelling on forearm recently.
Avatar m tn I think I need the strong stuff like diclofenac and B12 and b6. There is a pills called OKA B that I use to take when having muscle pain and it took pains away. But I've heard that diclofenac is not good to take during tx. Has anyone taken diclofenac during tx or is it too bad for the liver.
Avatar f tn Ketoprofen and tramadol should help with the sharp pain, but there is a drug called Lyrica which is used to treat nerve pain. You can discuss this option with your doctor.
1204528 tn?1588786333 I checked interactions with carbamazepine + diclofenac epolamine topical/diclofenac ophtalmic/diclofenac potassium/diclofenac sodium/diclofenac topical.
Avatar f tn First off I am very sorry you are going thru this. The first thing you need to do is find another doctor. Do you have copies of your labs, if not get them and start a file. From here out whenever you have any kind of test done, let the office know you want copies, lab work, xray, MRI whatever, you are ENTITLED to them. Did they test your sed rate and if so what was the number.
195469 tn?1388322888 Something that worked very well for me when I was first dx is Ketoprofen brand name Oruvail. They used to make it in 200mg caps but stopped, so now it comes in 50mg, just take 4 a day. I work for doctors and they are split on the use of Celebrex, personally I stick with the ketoprofen. If the inflammation can be alleviated the pain usually is too so you dont need the pain meds. Of course all of this is based on my own experience so take from it what you will.
Avatar n tn Is it ok to take ketoprofen and allpurinol. Not at the same time but during the day?
Avatar m tn I dislocated my shoulder two weeks ago, and had an x-ray in the emergency room which showed no broken bones. I have since seen a physiotherapist, last week, where I have been given exercises and have been told to return in two weeks, to see if there is improved movement of my shoulder/arm, and to see if the pain has subsided. The pain continues to wake me at night, and today, the pain has been severe. I have been unable to do any exercises due to the pain.
Avatar f tn Not sure if was the meds I was on at the time, methotrexate, prednisone and anti inflammatories ( Ketoprofen ). I had mentioned it n passing to my GP and she said she wanted to see them the next time it happened but I went off the methotrexate and prednisone, I could not tolerate either. 4 years later I am now on Enbrel and so far so good, wish I had done it sooner.
473384 tn?1210206242 like that was going to last!). 6 months ago I started taking diclofenac (an NSAID) and apparantly it works REALLY WELL for pain b/c I am supposed to stop taking it 7-10 days before surgery b/c of bleeding issues. I stopped it last week and OMG I can't believe how bad my pain became. I could not even walk, could not get comfortable in bed to sleep, etc etc etc.
Avatar n tn And please remember, that if you see multiple doctors, you should let them know all medications you take including anything over the counter such as aspirin. Here is information regarding diclofenac gel. https://www.drugs.com/voltaren-gel.html. Diclofenac is voltaren and the gel contains the Nsaid. This information states clearly that aspirin should not be used at the same time. Normally, blood thinners are also not used with Nsaids.
Avatar m tn This is a varicocele surgery on his testicles. He had a high fever a few hours ago. I injected diclofenac 75mg in his muscle due to his request. After that, I read about something like "Do not take diclofenac at least 7 days before a surgery". This is about the risk of bleeding, right? So, if his surgeon say that it will be ok, can we trust him? I'm freaking out. Please tell me what should I do. Thanks a lot.
Avatar f tn We live in Central America and are concerned about using the drops because we understand that the main ingredient (diclofenac) has been banned in other coutnries (at least in digestible form). We are also concerned that very little information is found on Exophoria and its treatment, except for what we see online and there we have found that many adults have had it since childhood and it was not corrected. Our doctor says she may outgrow it, that there is nothing more to do for now.
880900 tn?1467270141 Hi folks! Have any of you used Diclofenac or Voltarin Gel for relief from general pain on thighs, etc.(and other large areas ... LOL? What was your experience? Did it actually relieve any of your pain? I've used the tablet form, but it made me sick to my stomach. Is this likely to do the same? Thanks for your help.
