2080404 tn?1643113754 Hi there. Is this better? Prozac does give some gi side effects. When my son started this, he had nausea and it lasted for about a week and a half and then began getting better. He chewed ginger gum, ate tums and peptobismal chews. They seemed to help him. Was trazadone new as well? I will say that unless something is really awful, giving a full trial is best in my opinion. My son actually needed the full dose of prozac of 80 mg, so prepare that they may tweak your dosage as well.
Avatar n tn i have taken diclofenac for over 20 years with no side effects i have had to come off the tablets 75mg x twice day 4 days ago as I am showing some drying of kidneys from another mediation to ensure it is that one i have come off anything whih might affect me.
653169 tn?1303446369 Thanks much. Do you recall what "essential enzyme" you took with the diclofenac? I'll also check into the voltaren topical, although my pain in so widespread I don't know if that would be feasible.
Avatar f tn I cannot live w/o the med due to the pain but oftentimes get some GI side effects and also if taken too close to my Synthroid (thyriod issues) I get very tired and/or anxiety .... As I ramble .. I guess I'm wondering if ANYBODY out there has seen success with this new patch and what you think about it .... Big Zero for me.
1204528 tn?1588786333 I am currently taking carbamazepine for BP disorder type II, and I noticed it's getting hard to breath, l had the same symptom a few months back, went to several especialists but none of them found any respiratory or circular problem. It turned out to be zopiclone I was taking to sleeping. I am not taking zopiclone anymore. Now the only medications I am taking are carbamazepine for BP II and anti inflammatory for my sciatica. Any ideas?
Avatar m tn my wife and i are noticing aggressive behavior, and paranoia(along with nhs therapist)she is currently in hospital(acute care)and docs and therapists seem to be ignoring this and are contemplating release after suicidal/homicidal threats, has anyone experienced or heard of such aggression from geodon?i did find side effects on web that confirm this could happen, but seems doctors cant find or have ever heard of this? can anyone shed light please!!!!!
Avatar m tn Ibuprofen is a NSAID (Non-steroid anti-inflammation drug), so it has some effect on the inflammation too, not just to relief the pain. There are other NSAIDs too but some of them have lots of side effects. Diclofenac is one that in my country is sold over the counter almost as often as Ibuprofen. Of course, for severe inflammations (with inflammations, there are no infection) steroid anti inflammation drugs can be used, such as cortisone.
2129735 tn?1336423434 Good Afternoon Everyone, Please excuse my grammar and spelling. I am horrible on my best day now between pain meds and tiredness makes it ten times worse! Since my surgery, one week ago,I have been doing well. I was in a lot of pain but they finally got that magaged . I get hickups almost every time I stand up from either laying down or sitting. Which is quite oain full for the incision. Also I have such vivid nighmares/dreams I have to physically sit up mid-dream to wake myself.
Avatar m tn it feels like somebody is tugging at my epididymis and the pain radiates up to my stomach and down to my knee. these symptoms only happen on the left side but the testicular pain is in both testicles but never both at the same time, it will swap throughout the day, usually a few hours on each side but it is constantly there. i went to my GP who said it was epididymitis and gave me Cipro for a week. this did not help so i had an ultrasound and CT scan which showed nothing.
Avatar n tn Though it may be contraindicated in patients with DM with renal impairment and Lipid regulating drugs like-Colestyramine appears substantially to reduce the bioavailability of diclofenac when the two drugs are given together. The effects of cholestyramine and colestipol on the absorption of diclofenac in man.Colestipol produces a similar but smaller effect.
Avatar f tn I've had a constant pain in my head, face, neck and shoulders for about 3 months. It never goes away although at times it's worse than others. My doctor tried me on Diclofenac and co-codamol and is now considering putting me on beta-blockers. I thought beta-blockers was for palpatations and hypertension, none of which I suffer from. I wondered if anyone had similar pain and has any answers for me as to what could be causing it.
Avatar f tn s in a medicine or product, read the label or ask your doctor or pharmacist. These suggestions will help you avoid dangerous side effects and drug interactions. Some common over-the-counter pain relievers can be hard on the liver if used too often. A number of prescription drugs, including those used to treat HIV, can also stress the liver. Acetaminophen can be very toxic to the liver. Taking it and alcohol together can cause severe liver damage.
Avatar f tn that is usually what your PCP does for you. You also need to check closely the side effects for all your medications. If you must, make a chart listing each med across the top and list all the side effects of ea under the relate med. Then compare them. Doctor's are human first and then doctors and they "practice" medicine... You need to participate more in your health care.

976897 tn?1379167602 You are much younger than I am and my Cholesterol is on average at 260 so maybe you can look forward to make it at least that far - another 20 years perhaps. I refused to take any more Statins a couple of years ago due to severe side effects. We'll see how that goes in the long run.
Avatar f tn After doing some research I have found these can be signs of early stages of being pregnant? Can this be possible or are they side effects of the implant? Because I have not had a period for a few months I am unsure. Can you please help? Thank you.
Avatar f tn this is a plateu drug so you will have to get your body used to it over a week or so but if the pain dissapears/lessens noticeably then you will know that you have some problem with your nerves. This drug does not have any real side effects other than diareah (sp?) but look it up on the net so that you are educated on the drug if your doctor is not for it has only been around since '94 or so.
Avatar f tn Could it be a side effect of Diclofenac potassium?
Avatar f tn Everyone is different, but I have taken diclofenac before and not had any kind of side effect. The warning is there simply because it could happen, but it is probably a very low probability. If you got this from a doctor who knows you, you should be ok to take it. If not and the script is someone else's, then you probably should not take it. In any event - drinking with them is probably not smart either.
18663 tn?1198171815 There are many medications that are ototoxic to our ears causing hearing loss and tinnitus, some have permanent effects while others have side effects only while taking the medication. On your particular list, Asprin stands out the most. Asprin does cause hearing los & tinnitus as do most of the NSAIDS (Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs). As far as the your other medications, I would consult your physician to learn more about the side effects of those particular medications.
256161 tn?1196879046 0) I was wondering if anyone here has taken Arava (Leflunomide) and their side effects? I started it almost 3 weeks ago for the RA and Sjogrens and have started to have nausea, hair loss, skin sensitivity, burning or tingling of skin, and restless legs (already had, but much worse now), vivid dreams, and torso pain like a cramping sensation in back and sides. I have read too much bad stuff about this medicine and I am hoping someone has had a good experience with it.
