975514 tn?1324997938 I am curious though as to why then the development of vitreous floaters would be presented on the prescribing information document for the drug by the drug company as a possible side effect of the special senses? I never had floaters before the treatment. It could be, like you said just a part of aging and a just a strange coincidence, but why would they even bother mentioning it if it wasn't a side effect?
653169 tn?1303446369 Does anyone have any experience with diclofenac? If so, does it work better than over the counter antiinflammatory drugs and does upset the stomach much?
1524673 tn?1327841500 My left side is totally messed up as is my eyesight. I have been prescribeda med called Cambia. Main ingredient is Diclofenac Potassium. This works will the first couple of times I took it although it truly messes me up, couldn't understand why as it is not a narcotic. Yesterday my blood work came back and my cortisol levels are low. Blood taken before I stated this med. I have had problems with adrienal glad for years. My question is should I take a med with Potassium in it?
1204528 tn?1588786333 You are correct. The usual interactions suggest a decrease in levels of the other drugs taken with carbamazepine. Try searching for 'carbamazepine metabolism' and 'diclofenac metabolism'. It shows that both meds are metabolized by CYP3A4. Diclofenac may decrease levels of CYPA4 (search 'diclofenac inactivation CYP3A4); this could potentially lead to increased levels of carbamazepine.
Avatar f tn Question. I have started taking Diclofenac 75mg x's 2 a day to try and see if a non narcotic medication may give me some relief long term with my rib pain. I have taken it for 2 weeks and at first I didn't think it was helping at all. Now I think 1 of 2 things either A) it's starting to build up in my system and is helping better or B) My ribs just happen to feel a bit better lately.
Avatar n tn And please remember, that if you see multiple doctors, you should let them know all medications you take including anything over the counter such as aspirin. Here is information regarding diclofenac gel. https://www.drugs.com/voltaren-gel.html. Diclofenac is voltaren and the gel contains the Nsaid. This information states clearly that aspirin should not be used at the same time. Normally, blood thinners are also not used with Nsaids.

Avatar f tn Is anyone on Diclofenac? I am on it for an orthopedic condition and have been on it almost 4 weeks. It works, but am unsure how long I will be on it. As short a time as possible, I hope,...but, I was wondering....for those with arthritis (which it usually prescribed for,,).....are you on it daily? As an ongoing medication? I hope to go off it to avoid risks with prolonged usage, but up to now...it has not caused me any problems.

975514 tn?1324997938 I am also on a medication called Voltaren (Diclofenac), which on some prescribing information sheets does publish that vitreous floater can be a very rare side effect (in less that 1% of the population and not even in the drug trial studies). Anyhow, I am really confused. When I go online and search "Topamax and Vitreous Floaters" I find other people who have correlations and I am worried about my eyes, but I would hate to have to quit taking my medications. Any advice?
Avatar m tn I think I need the strong stuff like diclofenac and B12 and b6. There is a pills called OKA B that I use to take when having muscle pain and it took pains away. Avatar f tn Arthrotec is a tablet containing a combination of diclofenac and misoprostol. Diclofenac is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that works by reducing hormones that cause inflammation and pain. Misoprostol reduces stomach acid and replaces protective substances in the stomach that are reduced by NSAIDs. Arthrotec is used to treat osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis in people at high risk for developing stomach or intestinal ulcers.
Avatar f tn Just looking for anymore information or advise about withdraws from Fioricet / I have been taking this medication from years from Migrain headaches, it's seemed the longer I was on it the less it helped so I would increase my doses because I could not get rid of my headaches the other day I just stopped using it because it was like just this non stop headache.
Avatar n tn I saw a rheumatologist, he diagnosed it as post-traumatic arthralgia and gave me Voltral(diclofenac) and Zeegap(pregabalin) for 2 weeks. I want to know its reversal ttime and precautions to prevent it from aggrevate.
Avatar m tn Some anti-inflammatory medicines (like diclofenac or ibuprofen) will help to reduce the swelling. Cleaning with some anti-septic solution and anti-biotic course under general physician’s guidance will lessen the symptoms. Till then, topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
Avatar f tn My 59 year old husband, Hep C+ diagnosed in 2007, F-4 Cirrhosis diagnosed in 2010, compensated liver (last blood work was in July, 2012, and he has never had ascites, varices, or hepatic encephalopathy), and failed three Hep C treatments in past 5 years (last failure was triple tx w/Incivek stopped treatment mid-April, 2012 due to viral breakthrough), not currently on treatment. Question: He has had pain and swelling on forearm recently.
Avatar f tn The information you all have provided here is greatly appreciated and not to mention very informative. I'm working on learning everything I can to help two people actually. They're a couple so it's very hard. But I know there are problems with addiction for both of them. I figure the more knowledge I have the more prepared I will be. I have one of them willing to talk to me tonight. He knows what I'm going to be talking about and I'm so surprised he said ok...
