653169 tn?1303446369 I tried Mobic and Nabumatone and had problems with upset stomach and headache. In addition to Fibromyalgia I also have arthritis in my spine and shoulder, so I take it for that and I can't live without it. Ibuprofen and Naproxen doesn't even touch the inflammation and pain.
Avatar m tn This is a varicocele surgery on his testicles. He had a high fever a few hours ago. I injected diclofenac 75mg in his muscle due to his request. After that, I read about something like "Do not take diclofenac at least 7 days before a surgery". This is about the risk of bleeding, right? So, if his surgeon say that it will be ok, can we trust him? I'm freaking out. Please tell me what should I do. Thanks a lot.
Avatar n tn I have made the decision to stay on the MST, diclofenac and valium until after the surgery and then, if it is deemed a success, I will take stock of my requirements and come off as much of them as possible.
681148 tn?1437661591 ) I do however have a very bad right shoulder and had surgery a year and a half ago, so I know exactly how you feel at least with the shoulder issue. I use ice on it to fall asleep some nights and that helps. I also take an NSAID, but I am guessing you can't take those either with your stomach issues? Hrmmmm..... but Shanna707 and I were just talking about Diclofenac.
Avatar f tn Yes, I do use this medication, however my RA doc has me make it up into a cream and use it topically instead of swallowing them and risking stomach and intestinal damage. Diclofenac is a rather old, but good good antinflamatory NSAID medication that really can ruin your stomach which is why they don't prescribe it much anymore. I know it may sound strange but it works really well.
Avatar f tn Question. I have started taking Diclofenac 75mg x's 2 a day to try and see if a non narcotic medication may give me some relief long term with my rib pain. I have taken it for 2 weeks and at first I didn't think it was helping at all. Now I think 1 of 2 things either A) it's starting to build up in my system and is helping better or B) My ribs just happen to feel a bit better lately.
Avatar n tn I'm a 38 year old male. When I was 17, I had a fracture on my left elbow from a fall. I had problems with the elbow in terms of mobility and pain for a couple of years, but from when I was about 20 until just recently it has been fine, apart from cracking noises now and then when I stretched it out. During these years I have been working out - push-ups, arm curls etc. Last summer (2017) I started with pull-ups and chin-ups and in late August I started to notice pain in the elbow.
Avatar n tn i have taken diclofenac for over 20 years with no side effects i have had to come off the tablets 75mg x twice day 4 days ago as I am showing some drying of kidneys from another mediation to ensure it is that one i have come off anything whih might affect me.
Avatar n tn does collagen supplements strengthen the tissues and muscle around the neck..??
Avatar f tn Back in 1973 & 1974, at age 19, I had both kneecaps removed due to Chondromalacia Patella. I wasn't given replacement parts. Now as a 62 female, I find myself walking with a cane and my left knee is extremely painful. I consulted with 2 orthopedic MDs. The first one wanted to do joint replacement surgery. The second one said I am not a candidate for joint replacement surgery since I don't have kneecaps. He prescribed diclofenac potassium for the pain.
Avatar m tn I think I need the strong stuff like diclofenac and B12 and b6. There is a pills called OKA B that I use to take when having muscle pain and it took pains away. But I've heard that diclofenac is not good to take during tx. Has anyone taken diclofenac during tx or is it too bad for the liver.
Avatar n tn Hello LadyPam912, Reconsult your doctor for surgery. Surgery would be the best suited option as what is an absolute must is re alignment of the bone. Earlier it is better it is. Get an X ray done to know the extent of surgery. In the meanwhile take some pain killer like diclofenac or ibuprofen.
1204528 tn?1588786333 You are correct. The usual interactions suggest a decrease in levels of the other drugs taken with carbamazepine. Try searching for 'carbamazepine metabolism' and 'diclofenac metabolism'. It shows that both meds are metabolized by CYP3A4. Diclofenac may decrease levels of CYPA4 (search 'diclofenac inactivation CYP3A4); this could potentially lead to increased levels of carbamazepine.
Avatar m tn I got prescribed Norco, lidocaine patches, and diclofenac 75 mg. Yesterday I took Norco and I put a lidocaine patch and I woke up with weird heart sensation, like slow heart rate or something. Could it be caused by lidocaine patch? I also take the following medication: Atorvastatin Calcium 80 Mg- 1 tab in the evening Carvedilol 6.
Avatar f tn It was uneventful, the doctor gave me a steriod injection which made lovely bubbles appear on the white part of my eye. He upped the Durzol to 4 times a day (along with diclofenac and vigamox) and I will find out when I see him today what the next treatment will be. I realize that it has barl been 24 hours since I had the procedure and that things can only get better but I wonder if settingvthevlensecfor distance was the right one. Here is the information on the iol implant card.
Avatar n tn The effects of cholestyramine and colestipol on the absorption of diclofenac in man.Colestipol produces a similar but smaller effect. Though some information charts say that it should be used with caution in patients with Diabetes,it refers to underlying conditions as renal failure, hepatic impairment,IBS,stroke, clotting problems, asthma, allergies, CD/colitis,HTN,smoking,High LDL/HDL etc are present in your history. So donot worry about anything.
473384 tn?1210206242 I have severe OA in my left hip and am scheduled for THR on monday. I am taking oxycontin and percocet (60-90mgs oxy/day and 15-20 mgs perc/day, depending) and have been on these for 1 year (I started with 1 percocet/day, HA! like that was going to last!). 6 months ago I started taking diclofenac (an NSAID) and apparantly it works REALLY WELL for pain b/c I am supposed to stop taking it 7-10 days before surgery b/c of bleeding issues.
Avatar f tn s inflamed tendons and prescribed Diclofenac soldium XR, an anti-inflammatory, twice a day. Wondering if this drug is safe for him to take given hepatitis and Cirrhosis. He has a call back into the PCP to double check before taking it, and I have a call in to his hepatologist to double check before taking it. While waiting for calls back from PCP or hepatologist, wondering if anyone on this forum may know the answer?
599170 tn?1300973893 I have had internal and external surgery in that region and my advice is to take the pain killers lol! (it does really hurt - waaaaaaaay worse than childbirth - thats for sure) If you can take paracetamol and diclofenac regularly (depending on what your docs prescribe) and only take the opiods (eg codeine/morphine) when the pain is really bad - as they can be constipating and the last thing you want to be doing with a sore bum is straining to pass a hard bowel movement.
1198371 tn?1265930422 I had a laproscopic procedure last Monday (8th), they removed a large ovarian cyst along with the left ovary, they initially thought the cyst was the size of an orange but turned out to be much bigger although I'm unsure as to how big. They did have difficulty getting it out and I was told they opened me up slightly more but my belly button is stitched up nicely!
Avatar f tn Hi, I posted this question in the Cirrhosis forum, but I thought maybe I'd post it here too, since many members of the Hep C forum also have Cirrhosis. I have a question about an anti-inflammatory medication called Diclofenac for a person with Cirrhosis.
Avatar f tn There may be reasons why, for you, she is suspecting the Diclofenac and not the other. Give her a call and ask. Let us know what happens. I'm glad you're feeling better though - it must have all been pretty scary. I have allergies to some meds, but it's all skin reactions, not breathing stuff. I imagine that's terrifying.
Avatar f tn In feb 2017 I started having problems with pain and swelling in my big toe joint. I had my gp check it out, she said probably arthritis and put me on diclofenac. By March the pain turned into horrific pain attacks, lasting a few secs at a time. By the end of march i got sent home from work and was told go to a podiatrist(by my boss). The first one i went to swore i was an alcohol and red meat kind of girl and said it was gout.
Avatar n tn I have been told i may need fusion surgery on my c5-c6, and c6-c7 vertebrae. This pain is accompanied by shoulder and arm painIi am wondering if this pain is caused by my neck issues because in all the articles i have read no one has mentioned upper back pain from cervical nerve injuries?
Avatar f tn I am still weak and tired. The pain in the stomach and nausea is most of the time and if anything it is worse than before I had surgery. I have to take stong pain medication to control the pain. My surgeon says everything is healing and it takes time but should it take this long to recover from this? I have also been having heavy bleeding from this that hasn't let up yet. I would appreciate any advice you could give me.
Avatar f tn Your hcg levels suggest you conceived a short time before the surgery and medications are unlikely to effect baby at that time (a placenta has not formed yet). Check with your dr though.
Avatar n tn I have the exact same symptoms that you have. Have you received any help yet? I've been going to the doctor, physical therapy, and a chiropractor....no help so far. THANKS!
