diclofenac and headaches

Question. I have started taking Diclofenac 75mg x's 2 a day to try and see if a non narcotic medication may give me some relief long term with my rib pain. I have taken it for 2 weeks and at first I didn't think it was helping at all. Now I think 1 of 2 things either A) it's starting to build up in my system and is helping better or B) My ribs just happen to feel a bit better lately.

I have the exact same symptoms that you have. Have you received any help yet? I've been going to the doctor, physical therapy, and a chiropractor....no help so far. THANKS!

My advise for you is to try steam inhalations, analgesics (like ibuprofen/diclofenac) and nasal decongestants. Hope this should alleviate your symptoms. If the symptoms are not reduced please do consult your ENT specialist.

I tried Mobic and Nabumatone and had problems with upset stomach and headache. In addition to Fibromyalgia I also have arthritis in my spine and shoulder, so I take it for that and I can't live without it. Ibuprofen and Naproxen doesn't even touch the inflammation and pain.

Yes, I do use this medication, however my RA doc has me make it up into a cream and use it topically instead of swallowing them and risking stomach and intestinal damage. Diclofenac is a rather old, but good good antinflamatory NSAID medication that really can ruin your stomach which is why they don't prescribe it much anymore. I know it may sound strange but it works really well.

So I've been having these headaches... I've visited the doctors 3 times now. First they said it was a Sinus infection and they gave me steroids for it. Still no change. Then I went to the hospital, they gave me a CT scan. Nothing came up and they said everything was fine but they put me on Amoxicillin, Ibuprofen, and Vicodin. No change. Then went to a new doctor. He said that it was a tension headache and put me on baclofen and diclofenac. Still no change.

I hear what you are saying. The reason I am so confused is because I take a couple other medication and no such incidence have ever been reported on the prescribing information. My pharmacist has heard of this happening and I was hoping find another person who had experienced this phenomenon, or perhaps to finally put this worry of mine to rest. What I will probably do is work with my Rheumatologist and Ophthalmologist and go back on Voltaren.

i have taken diclofenac for over 20 years with no side effects i have had to come off the tablets 75mg x twice day 4 days ago as I am showing some drying of kidneys from another mediation to ensure it is that one i have come off anything whih might affect me.

I think I need the strong stuff like diclofenac and B12 and b6. There is a pills called OKA B that I use to take when having muscle pain and it took pains away. But I've heard that diclofenac is not good to take during tx. Has anyone taken diclofenac during tx or is it too bad for the liver.

I never had anything like this before having my youngest son other than I did have sciatic pain down one leg once years ago the doc gave me diclofenac and co-codamol and it lasted a week but I'm talking around 8 maybe 9 years ago now.

I used paracetamol and diclofenac as painrelievers.Could they be the causes of my headaches?My homeplace is a cold place but last december I moved to where I am now and the sun is scorching hot.can this be the cause?and if so,why has it taken two months since i moved in for me to fill the effects?lastly,can the omeprazole drugs help stop my epidermal pains or what other drugs should i use for this?Thanks again in advance.

Ask your doctor about Topamax. I had daily headaches for years and this is the only thing that has helped. What most likely is happening is your pain is causing the headaches but the pills or some of the pills your taking are causing "rebound headaches" a lot of pain medications do that. I didn't know that for years and I was suffering. Diclofenac comes in a topical form, if that helps see if the doctor will give it to you that way.

hi i have been having these painful headaches again the top front and side of mt head reakky hurt and my face is numb and tingly again i will be surprised if i do not have lesions in the frontal lobe and the right side of my brain.also realized the top of my head feels numb.

the following day fever started, i had no appetite at all, and i was getting heavy night sweats and one night i was restless and fainted. i had emt over and their conclusion was stomach flu and malnourishment/dehydration. i went back to my doctor the following morning, and he pretty much said the same and prescribed substances with electrolytes. eventually i got a lot better and returned to work. left hip was still hurting on and off, but i never got to follow up since i was completely sick.

I have had trouble too with a lot of NSAIDs and stomach upset and Diclofenac seems to be one I can tolerate and it really helps my shoulder pain. If that isn't an option, you could get a steroid shot? I have a couple of other tips: use a roller ball mouse for your computer so you are not moving your arm. You just move your thumb. It takes about a day or two to get used to, but it helps a lot.

Any ideas what is a good pain med for arthriits. I am on Lyrica and Diclofenac now and also Topomax for headaches. That darn tick screwed me up!!

But he put me on 10mg baclofen( Only 1 tablet at bedtime) and diclofenac 100mg(1 tablet in morning)

I have red/brown freckles on my lower legs and ankles. Have been on diclofenac potassium for a year for a torn meniscus. Could that have caused those spots?
