645390 tn?1338558977 Michele, I can feel your pain. I just broke my pinky toe 2 days ago and then hit it on the same piece of furniture again last night. You said you broke some other "little bones" , does that mean you had x-rays? If you haven't seen an ortho doctor you should consider it. There is a break of the 5th toe called a Jones fracture. A friend of my girls and my sister in law both had it. It is a slow fracture to heal .
Avatar n tn Doctors tell us to wrap my husbands toe, it seems to get worse, just like the toe that caused him to lose his leg last year. We need for his skin to grow back over the wound, don't know what to do. Do not want infection again, it's been an open wound for about a month. Began by pulling loose some dead skin by large toenail off. He has hammer toes, skin just continued to peel off & is now just meat w/ no skin over it. We're very worried. Have you ever heard of colloidal silver water.
Avatar f tn “Do you have toe nail fungus or athlete’s foot!” Using the same solution on my facial outbreaks as on my toe nails (the revised formula with coconut oil), the facial condition is clearing up. Just like with my feet, skin is sloughing off and the nodules are beginning to eject. This is the best result I’ve seen in years. I expect it will take a few months for the problem to be cured, as the fungus is down below the level of the base of the hair follicle in the sebaceous gland.
Avatar f tn My husband has severe PAD with the superficial femoral artery occlusion the entire length in his left leg (angiogram results) with first 3 toes afftected and non-healing ulcers on the big toe starting on second toe now. No infection yet but severe pain also toes are bluish-purple color and more blisters developing. He's under the care of a Vascular surgeon at Harborview Hospital.
695966 tn?1232559882 It is swelling around the big toe and the one next to it. The space between the second toe and the third toe is increasing like a large “V” shape like the Spock signal. This foot has increased burning sensations and on the top of the third toe I now have a small red mark like an electrical burn. I used to get these just before a foot ulcer breaks out. No I am not a diabetic.
Avatar n tn His symptoms have been calm for a few months and it seemed like he was getting better, but all of a sudden he found out he has an ulcer on his remaining foot. It's decently bad and is turning a dark purple color with grey skin and white skin surrounding it. The doctor who discovered it said he might have to get this foot amputated as well. His medical center is the VA hospital and they think his diabetes may be caused by Agent Orange[which he was exposed to during Vietnam.
Avatar n tn I was also feeling very sick for about 2 years I had multiple symptoms, I could not control I went to 3 different doctors, to different emergency rooms, and they would tell me I was depress and anxious, and having panic attacks, I have to leave the country, and go the Puerto Rico to get diagnosed it only took them a week to find out I had thyroid disease, they told me I had Hashimotos thyroid disease, I was also extremely low on vitamin D, vitamin B12, and was pre-diabetic.
6191629 tn?1379513187 The lesions are resistant to terbanifine and all topical anti-fungals. He has had repeated courses of antibiotics for a non diabetic neuropathic ulcer on his big toe now amputated.
661621 tn?1224901632 I am not diabetic and have had a doppler on thigh done the rule out venous ulcer. (I think there are more test to be done to actually rule that out though).
Avatar n tn I have been seeing a Podiatrist for the past year for various problems including a now healed ulcer on great toe, and have had both large toenails removed for chronic ingrown nails and fungal thickening. Now he suggests I have the bunion removed. I have neuropathy of both feet and ankles and have no pain associated with the bunion. I am leery of having surgery if not absolutely necessary due to healing problems and possible infections. Do you believe I could do without this surgery ?
Avatar m tn She has one large ulcer on top of her right foot and several small ulcers on her toes and sides of her foot. The toe next to her large to is broken, but will not be set until the ulcers are healed. Description: The ulcers are surface ulcers (not deep). They are covered by a pale yellow covering (granulation tissue ?). The ulcers vary in size. Large ulcers are approx. 3cm x 2 cm. Small ulcers are approx 0.5cm x 0.5cm. The ulcers started as small red spots and developed into ulcers.
Avatar n tn Do you have diabetes and are you a smoker There are two indications for sympathectomy. A small toe ulcer when no bypass or other way to improve circulation is possible or when someone has persistent pain in the foot from poor circulation Sympathectomy is usually not recommended for diabetic patients, because there nerves have already been reduced in function by the diabetes. Both surgeons have a point.
Avatar n tn (THE CUT WAS THE SIZE OF A NICKEL) BUT DIDNT SO A MONTH PASSED BY AND IT JUST GOT WORSE SO I WENT TO THE WOUND CARE CENTER THEY TOOK SOME TESTS TOLD ME THAT IT WAS A INFECTED ULCER GAVE ME ANTIBIOTICS AND TOLD ME TO STAY OFF MY FEET.THEY ALSO FOUND OUT I HAVE NEUROPATHY, SO THEY TESTED ME FOR DIABETES. Avatar f tn C7 (car accidents in the past), my right knee of course, and my big toe on both of my feet due to bunyonectomies. The swelling is not all of the time but it happens out of the blue. I can't put a rhyme or reason for it. If I'm on prednisone for allergies, the swelling is alot worse and the prednisone makes the pain in my right knee worse, almost unbearable. I do have very small bumps on the palm of my left hand, but never had anyone look at it.

Avatar n tn GERD is more common and especially if you are feeling the pains in the upper stomach area around the diaphram then this is very likely Acid Reflux or a Gastric Ulcer. Check with your doctor and do not rely on advice on forums like this to treat it. If your doctor cant find out what it is with urine/blood tests and stool samples then find another doctor...
Avatar f tn They are different sizes depending on where they are. I have them at and around my elbows, one on my knock, on the underside of my bicep, sometimes under my arm, on my thighs, and behind my knees mostly. I also can feel some on my upper abdomen sometimes. None of them are extremely large. However, I am very confident that they are definitely lymph nodes. Also, the pain isn't a soreness, it's more of a burning/sharp pain in each area.
172715 tn?1285498090 Good luck on it, took me about a month to adjust to it. I am also type2 diabetic, and I've been all over the map lately on tests. Didn't think it might be the Lyrica, will have to monitor and see.
294425 tn?1288531995 He pulled up the MRI to go over it with me, show me things and see if I had any questions. How cool was that? He said there was nothing obvious on the MRI's, but that in no way meant that there weren't things going on that we just are unable to see right now. (All I could think of was how Quix had "nothing" in her cord till they did the 3T MRI and it all of a sudden picked up a bunch of lesions.) He said all my blood was negative, as he expected.
1018470 tn?1251337123 She believes I have RT3 going on and says going on NTH will do me better, but I don't want to start to high on this combo T med. By the way, these are the Lab reports I am waiting on from my doctor's office: TSH, FT3, FT4, RT3. In addition, the doctor also ordered, which is really a waste of money and is redundant, the TSH reflex to abnormal FT4 (which it means, if the TSH is abnormal, test the FT4)! Sheesh, we were already testing the FT4 and TSH.
544292 tn?1268886268 So I dug up some more info that I wanna share ... in case you are dying of curiousity. Or need more info like I do. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- http***mb.rxlist.com/rxboard/ultram.pl?noframes;read=3179 not just for breakfast anymore Posted By: mkny Date: Friday, 21 October 2005, at 3:53 a.m.
530191 tn?1214166411 Yes, I have had autoimmune urticaria for ten years. At first the only medication that would help was Doxepin. I was on that for seven years and finally got a sensitivity to it and it was no longer effective. With autoimmune urticaria vs. chronic idiopathic urticaria (which they said was what i had for eight of the ten years) I couldn't use antihistimines at all with effect, doxepin was the only one! Plaquenil is our next option.
Avatar n tn I get them on my fingers and toes. Tonight it was on my toe. My daughter who is a RN had no idea why this would happen. My father who is 83 gets this too and so does my sister in law. I am so glad to hear that others get it too. I am thin, athletic with low blood pressure. I do have low platelets and have a border line low thyroid problem. Other wise I am in good health.
Avatar n tn I can walk from my front door to the car and my face is sweating like I had ran a marathon...I can't go on like this I need suggestions please. I am 56 weight about 230 and in good health otherwise. I take asthma medication singular and abluteral inhaler as needed. Is there a medication I can take or a surgery? I can't stand this any longer it's living hell. I don't mean to sound so desperate but it's horrible to live like this I cry about it and stay so miserable.
Avatar n tn I'll be 46 at the end of this month & just moved to a new state so I don't have the luxury of knowing any doctors. In the last 1-2 months I suddenly gained 40 + lbs & look pregnant. That seems to be where the weight all is. A urinalysis proved negative for pregnancy on Monday & with my 3 grown kids I did not gain this much weight &/or so fast. I just look pregnant & feel "full - heavy - tired & short of breath" most of the time.
Avatar n tn Then immediately following this finger pain I felt pain in my right foot at the joint of my middle toe. I have no idea what causes this and both of my siblings report similar type of pain issues. Friends think this is quite strange. As a teenager, everyone called these "growing pains" but I am 30 years old and don't believe this title still applies. Any ideas on possible causes? A friend of mine recommended acupuncture but of course I cringe at the thought of needles.
Avatar m tn Prior to this, the only time she has ever cried from pain was when I accidentally closed the door on her tail. It's not a constant moan, but somewhat frequent throughout the night or in the evening when we are watching tv. While upright she appears fine and not in pain, she plays and runs as much as usual, so much so that people still think she is a puppy even though she is over ten. I've been to the vet probably ten times in the past six weeks or so.
